Absolutely loved the style and atmosphere. The uniqueness of the visual style, story, and gameplay make this an instant standout. I loved the dramatic text popups and learning more about the culture and history here with a cool horror twist. Really fascinating stuff!

Thanks for the review. I'm surprised by how much people like the graphics despite the fact that they are just free stock images mashed together. I've been having my doubts lately about this style since it feels like I'm doing the same thing as the generative AI cancer. I considered trying low-poly or a pre-rendered style, but time constraints gonna time constraints.

Photobashing is a real, valid style of creating art! You made something new from disparate parts, and, most importantly, it suits the game and enhances the atmosphere. If you were to expand on this, maybe you'd want to explore other styles, but you don't have to downplay the artistry that went into this. And personally, I would have been happier with unedited stock images over AI, so it's both appreciated and cool to see you working with what you had. Don't sell yourself short!

very atmospheric horror game, awesome vibes!

Captivating shamanic adventure with a brilliant balance system! The atmospheric chess-like gameplay and mystical visuals create a uniquely immersive experience that honors its cultural inspiration beautifully.

Amazing vibes! Nailed it. Perfect game!

Atmosphere is spot on definitely, and it’s an intriguing combat system. Just a thought, I think could be interesting to limit the amount of spaces you move from one coordinate to another each turn in some way (with the difficulty balanced out elsewhere somehow). Great submission, God bless :)

Developer(+1)

I actually thought about this idea. Originally the game only let you move once per turn, but I found it too frustrating, and replaced it with the power drain every time you move.

Very Interesting mechanic and a nice visual style. Good work!

The game looks and sounds awesome, turn based combat was interesting and easy to understand after reading through the options. Great job!

I love turn-based card games so this is definitely nice to play :)

Good to know that a fan of turn-based games liked it since this is probably the first time I tried doing something with that gameplay style.

Well, there was that crappy Spongebob fangame around 10 years ago but we don't talk about that. Plus it's probably lost media by now.

The fighting mechanics are very interesting and the art direction is on flick !  A very well made game!

I didn't quite understand the full story in the game, but the gameplay was really fun—it made for a great experience overall!

The story is just the Russian colonization of Siberia, but from the native people's point of view and both sides brought eldritch monsters to the table.

Hey, really like the vibe and the aesthetics. Every action seems well balanced as well. Really liked the different types of enemies, and that the boss used the entire moveset

Striking looks, this really knows what it’s doing thematically.

I don’t think I fully understood the rules though. Sometimes I heal and it only yields +1 HP, or I freeze an enemy and they get unfrozen right away. Made it to the first battle with Kherubim.
