cute graphics, and popcorn as ammo is neat ;-)
Thank you! 😊 Happy to hear you enjoyed the popcorn ammo idea and had fun playing!
That was really fun :)
have to come back and finish some more levels :)
Thanks a lot, glad you had fun 🙂
Hope you enjoy the rest of the levels when you come back!
Chicken Jockey! haha. Nice light effects to make it a little bit difficult, i liked it. Well done
Haha thanks! I'm glad you liked it 😊 that lighting effect was almost a last-minute add-on event, so it’s great to hear it made a difference. Appreciate you playing!
You have a README which is great, but you'll need a License file as well (these are two main criteria for open source category). I like the fact you have emojis in your README and the structure is great. I notice at the bottom, you wrote "This project is released as open-source for learning and jam purposes." You actually need to have a license file for it to be 'licensed'. You can do this automatically in GitHub, by creating a new file, call it "License.md" and you'll be given a bunch of options to use an open source license. For a game, just use the MIT license. If you need help, let me know, happy to help out.
The graphics are super cute. Such a funny concept. I enjoyed the sound effects and music too. Interesting take, I guess there's a real subtly on the "balance" theme. Nice work on this game. Controls were easy to handle, and the game was super intuitive. Great job.
Apologies for the late reply, I got caught up with work 😅
Also, my bad! It’s my first time doing this so I wasn’t aware haha. I’ve just added the MIT License using the GitHub template, thanks so much for pointing that out!
And really appreciate you taking the time to play the game and leave such thoughtful feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Yeah it's probably not written anywhere for the game jam, however a README and License is a standard requirement for something that is open source (industry standard rather than "hackathon" or "game jam" requirement). Great work adding one now.
I had a lot of fun playing all the games, so thanks again for your submission.
Thanks so much again for the support and helpful guidance! I’ve definitely learned a lot from this jam and your feedback. Really appreciate you taking the time to check out the different games. Glad to hear you enjoyed! :D
Anytime.
A funny concept and an impressive amount of polish! I was already impressed by the menu and gameplay, and when I saw the speed echoes on the dash, my jaw dropped. I kept having trouble upsetting the audience members in order to clean up messes in front of them (how are they so dirty?!) but it was a fun little experience. Really neat stuff!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Really glad you noticed the speed echoes, had fun adding that touch! 😄 Yeah, those audience members are surprisingly messy… guess popcorn is dangerous in bulk 😂 Appreciate you taking the time to play and leave such thoughtful feedback
Good game—nice art style!
Sometimes, hidden dirt appears in front of the cinema viewers.
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the art style 😊
Yeah, that hidden dirt can sneak up sometimes, it’s part of the challenge to spot and prioritize cleanup under pressure. Definitely something I’ll keep tweaking!
Very fun idea! The game was fun and i loved how you made the main menu look like a cinema ticket.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. I'm also happy you liked the cinema ticket menu screen, I had a lot of fun designing that part :D
Cool and fun take on the theme! The end of shift saved me quite a few times, but it did feel a bit out of place and looked more like a pause menu to me. I really like the main menu! Nice art, although the different pixel scales made it look less polished than it would appear otherwise. Very well done!
Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback! I'm really glad you liked the main menu, it was fun to put together. Totally hear you on the end-of-shift screen. I’ll look into making it feel more connected to the gameplay. And yeah, I agree the mismatched pixel scales could use some cleanup, it was my first time so I didn't really know what I was doing haha. Appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed!! 😊
The idea of the gun being on a 2d plane parallel to the screen while the player instead moves in an ismoteric view is kind of interesting, can't really explain why.
Is it just me or only the arcade works? Couldn't figure out how to play the levels
Thanks for trying it out! Oh the levels works, you need to click on the seats. Try to go onto full screen and clicking on the Seats :))
Nice setting of the game. The mouse movements could use the walk animation. But I think you did good job given the time constraints.
Thanks so much! Totally agree about the walk animation, it's something I wanted to improve if there was more time 🐭. Thanks for playing!! 🙂
Good funny game and nice art
Thanks so much! Glad the humor and art landed well
Good game! I like that it's a shooter, but the place is in a movie theater. And the overall theme is light and fun!
Thanks a lot! I'm happy you liked the movie theater setting, wanted to keep it fun and lighthearted while adding some chaotic shooter elements!
Fun concept. I found the firt piling in front of the spectators to be not very fair since you are forced to take either the garbage or blocking spectator view penalty. Not sure if it's the balancing choice you intended for the player though.
The graphics are nice but the different pixel scales of the sprites make them appear a bit weird.
The music was cool but it stopped after a moment. The sounds of the gun is a little underwhelming I think.
Well done overall!
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! 😊
Yeah, the dirt piling in front of the spectators was part of the intended balance. The idea was to make players decide whether to clean the dirt early, risking blocking the audience’s view, or wait for more piles to build up and clean everything at once. 😅
Totally agree on the pixel scale inconsistency, I'll work on tightening that up for sure! Also realized the music loop broke, so I’ll get that fixed soon. Definitely going to replace that weak gun SFX too 😂
Really appreciate you taking the time to point all that out, it means a lot! 🙏
Cool game with a unique and creative idea, I really enjoyed the game!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!
Hilarious chaos and surprisingly tense! Balancing survival and cleaning was way more stressful (and fun) than I expected — great concept!
Haha thank you! That’s exactly the vibe I was going for, pure chaos disguised as "cleaning" 😅. Glad you had fun trying to survive the mess!!
Funny game, good job!
Thanks a lot! Glad you had fun playing it!
Interesting shooter!
Thank you!!
love the concept
Thanks so much! Glad you liked the idea!
Cool idea. Nice art. Like it 👍
Thank you, appreciate it a lot!
This movie theater does not meet health standards but it meets game standards. Good gameplay.
Hygiene cert’s revoked and the rats are definitely a health hazard, but at least they’re fun to shoot 🐀 Thanks for playing!!
