Loved the aesthetics! Combat is really a game of luck rn, but i hope that if you will continue it that will change (: Overall fun game which i could complete in full

Never have I been able to eat so many cans of beans in a single game before. Absolutely incredible!

I felt like I was back in the 90s playing some obscure SNES title that my grandmother had accidentally purchased for me from the pawn shop down the street. An absolute gem that I’ll never forget.

Great job!

this game looks and plays incredible!  (aside from the obvious bugs and restarting all over)

this is the aesthetic i love to see

What a surreal trip, the presentation is amazing. Besides the game is short but what's there was fun enough to play, I needed a few tries.

Very funny pig :)

Really enjoyed running round the store stealing beans and gaslighting employees, art and style is super polished and hooked me right away.

I didn't know which moves to use on which encounters, and my moves changed whenever I lost so found it difficult to progress. Also a nice to have would be mouse support for the ui, but thats just a minor thing, overall a very polished, enjoyable game I would play again!

Hahahahahaha! gasp for air Hahahahahahaha! What a great concept. I loved the Brain Drain podcast, it was brilliant. Fantastic job!

What a wildly unique and fascinating game. I love the art style and who doesn't love being able to run around in stores stealing things and getting away with it? or is that only me? lol

Great job!

Very distinctive and unique game. Art style and humor are rad. The guy in the podcast probably has a lot of unresolved familial issue but no one is perfect I suppose :)

Great entry!

To sum it up: wtf but in a good way. It was fun. The sound effect was great. The combat seems like you have no options other than to run as you would die on turn 2 anyway if you do not use it. I find it weird that the Windows build does not run for me. Just gets stuck on the splash screen. Full version soon?

Developer(+1)

Thank ya! You can get new moves by listening to the podcasts :)

Yes, I do get that but it's just pointless when you can't kill next turn in some combats unless you spam the main ability. Unless I just run into the people who use call police and put me down to 1 hp after turn 1.

Developer

Haha sorry, there wasn’t enough time to explain some stuff in the game. Old people are more prone to “speed” type moves :)

Submitted

I’m never gonna think of that in a million years. That explains more things why I kept getting call police turn 1.

WOW! Great psychodelic style, cool and funny abilities. I love the atmosphere. One of the best so far.

Submitted(+2)

Great, I wish there was a full version someday. It has its own atmosphere.

Haha this game is wild! Love audio/visual experience, so chaotic and stylish, very cool. The concept is also very unique and interesting.

A really interesting and entertaining entry, I would love to play more stuff like this.

This is fantastic. Please do keep working on it! My favorite game of the jam.

The visual style in the battle sections was great! It felt like the distance between each tile on the grid was about half of what would have felt better. If you are planning on expanding this (and it was cool, so I hope you do), I'd recommend doubling that distance.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I posted a dev log about wanting to continue the game. Hopefully I can stick to it and expand it further.

Yeah I did half movements because of lofty goals that I set on myself 4 days ago when is started. By the time I was like hmm this feels odd with this gameplay it was the last day

This surreal aesthetic and photo-based sprites goes very well but podcast is just so good I think anyone who plays the game should fully listen it atleast once. Other voicelines are also very good. Visual effects and names of the moves makes combat very fun. I would like to see more games with these aesthetic.

Developer(+2)

I was hoping someone would listen to it! Thank you for taking a look and listen

Confusing at first, super trippy after you figure it out, ahahaha. Interesting game, I laughed a lot during the arguments

Developer(+1)

haha thanks! I’m glad you thought it was funny

Submitted(+2)

This is a trip. Really cool surreal aesthetic. Nice work.

Fun game, with cool graphics and I really like the concept. I however got stuck in an argument loop one my 2nd level and it just kept making me "fight" the clerk over and over and over again.

Developer(+2)

haha thanks for playing! I appreciate it. Yeah I started late and didn’t have time to get rid of all the bugs :(
