Combat system was very hard and i died like 20 times but i like the idea! :)
Liked the interesting combat system and game looks great :)
An innovative combat system. Took me a moment to get used to the controls but worked fine. I had fun playing it and that is what matters most.
Unfortunately there was some misalignment when I ran the game, causing the targets to spawn out of the combat zone, so I couldn't get past the Frog Monster.
Really liked what i played though. Some inventive monster designs, and a cool combat system!
I really liked the soul swapping for the theme. The combat was interesting and fun.
Hey, I played your game :)
Overall, a pretty good and fun entry that only need some more love and would do a lot better than it already does :)
Good work! I really enjoyed the combat system. It gave me Undertale vibes, in a good way. As others have mentioned, the movement system took a little getting used to.
Well done!
I really enjoyed it. I found it quite nice and pleasant and enjoyed the combat system. The controls were not my favorite and I would have liked some checkpoints, but you put together a good game here.
As mentioned by the rest, the controls are really funky, but otherwise, I really enjoyed the game. Good implementation of the theme and well done with the back-and-forth puzzles without making it feel like there's needless backtracking.
Apart from the strange control scheme, i enjoyed this game alot! the 2 worlds mechanic is really fun! it adds a really cool twist to the world. the battle system was very fun too, with just a bit of polish, this would be a really really solid game!
Really solid game. I love how you've handled the duality of the red and blue worlds. Every time I reached a dead end and switched to the "other world" and discovered a path forward it felt like I found a secret. The path to the early blue button felt like four or five secret finding accomplishments in a row. Really hit my dopamine.
I found the controls unintuitive and ended up using both the arrow keys and W to get around. I'm glad you added looking up and down but if I could have done all the movement and looking navigation with on hand I didn't figure out how.
Having the combat be a "get the cursor to the targets without getting hit" slow-mo bullet hell was a nice twist. I like it a lot although consistently I found it really easy.
Wow, that was very good, movement is good, fights are fun, dynamic and not too easy, I love that each enemy is unique to play against (and they look very cool too), using the mask was pretty cool and you made good use of the theme. Great game!
Thanks a lot for your feedback ! Finally someone who does not dislike our mouvements ! 😂
Really struggled with controlls at first and some 'combat' mechanics had those invisible walls your soul could't get through, plus it returning back after hitting spot and instantly getting damaged by some random thing that was passing starting point took me some time to get used to.
Loved those equipped items effect - made me laugh a lot when I first saw them! A bit disorienting with mask, but I mean... it is a mask after all!
Overal combat mechanic idea was great! A bit clunky to control at times, and I personally think it would feel much better without the teleport back feature, but it was really solid idea for sure!
Theme also was neat - two worlds with different passways is always a good idea!
Sadly this game will not run on my old 9500GT
A very original entry! I had a great time exploring and the combat system was unique!
This entry had some of my favorite graphics and the music was perfectly eerie. It could definitely use a few more sound effects but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
That said, the controls are super awkward and the turning is far too slow for my taste. I ended up using a program to remap the inputs. After that, it was very enjoyable.
Solid entry! Great work :)
Being left handed I struggled too much with the controls. I have to cross my hands over the keyboard. Needless to say I didn't get very far. What I saw looked and sounded nice though.
I also saw this played on stream so I have a pretty good idea of the concept, and others seemed to have fun playing it.
Easily one of the most original entries, nice work! I had to watch Scalpha play to understand what's going on, but there's ton of interesting ideas and mechanics here. I had trouble with the control scheme, but I eventually got used to it.
Thanks, I'll make sure to change it when the jam will end.
This is an interesting game with a good gameplay mechanic. The ability to switch the world's shape and find item to reach new places is a reliable gameplay that is always enjoyable to play.
I also liked the Undertale-type of combat system.
About the graphics, it's a decent pixel arts look, tho I had a big issue with the effects of entering the water or the gas which make the game very unpleasant to navigate as it led me to having a headache.
The audio is repetitive but not annoying so I'm fine with it.
The other problem were the controls. Q & S should also give the ability to turn around. And the E key doesn't seem to always respond and require to type it several times to grab an item.
In conclusion, some improvement with the controls and more than all, the HUD, and the game might become fully enjoyable! ;)
Good job.
I easily see the theme here.
I had a bit of a leg up on how to play because I watched Scalpha's stream.
The control scheme was a bit klunkly, I must say.
