Since my name is Oliver I just had to try this out! Fun concept that could be expanded upon with different dice for different weapons etc. I got stuck quite often in the ground and in the crates. The art looks amazing and I kinda feel like I'm playing gameboy as I did when I was a kid!
Thanks so much!
Maybe I'm not good with platformers, but I softlocked myself quite often, either because there was still enemies left and I had no more dice or because I'd push a dice block in a corner. Dice management is also complicated. Just being kicked out of the chest menu when there isn't anymore dice to take would be an already big improvment. Really well made and nice to the eyes though, there is potential.
Thanks so much for playing!
Inventory management is a bit complicated, everything else is very high quality. An authentic little enjoyable video game. Great job!
Thanks! After the voting period, I am planning to add options for auto-equip and for auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice.
Great pixel art and overall a well put-together game. I enjoyed it a lot. Only issue is the time it takes to equip dice. If that was a bit more quick I think it would be a little more engaging. Conceptually I enjoy the game a lot and I'm surprised you could program an inventory, movement, combat system in the given time! That takes a lot of work! Good job ;)
Thanks for playing and giving feedback! After the voting period, I am planning to add options for auto-equip and for auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice. The programming was made (probably) even harder by the fact that this was made in MIT Scratch and has almost 4000 blocks (all the code was created during the jam)!
Overall very fun game. But rolling, then equiping then close inventory gets a bit reptitive. If you can speed this up a bit to match the pacing of a platformer I think this can has definitely potential! :D
Keep up the good work

Loved this game !! Super simple , neat and tidy visuals , and smooth gameplay , Good Stuff overall , nicely done !! :)) (5/5)
Thanks for playing!
Lovely art and cool idea to roll dices for attacks!
Thanks so much :)
A very cute game :)! It took me a long time to get used to the controls on a gamepad and perhaps the process of getting a dice and attacking someone with it could be simplified overall. It's a nice entry though and I'm impressed it was made in Scratch, well done!
Yeah, After the voting period, I am planning to add options for auto-equip and for auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice. Thanks for the feedback! :)
I think rolling dice and attacking with a strength according to the pips is a good idea, but unfortunately I just found it fiddly to pick up, roll, equip and then attack. Having to take long pauses before each attack disrupts the flow that I expect from a platformer. The art is nice, and the idea could work really well if combined better with the platforming, right now those two main features feel a bit disjunct.

the game has a fun mekanic.
but it wasnt that hard and was easy completed. As a game jam game it was greate.
would love to play more.
Thanks for playing! The f ull game will be much longer with tons of new enemies, so watch out for that!
Very cool concept, the platforming controls decently well. Also eternally grateful that the audio was well balanced. :D
I do feel like a lot of the dice mechanics could be more automatic, like picking up a dice should roll it, and also equip it if you don't have one equipped. That would help streamline the menuing.
Thanks for playing (and commenting!) I'm planning on adding several new options to make the menus simpler to use.
Very impressive how you were able to create a platformer game in Scratch in just 48 hours! I love the idea to use dices as a way to attack.
Also, it's really cool that the game has controller support!
Thanks for playing!
Neat game, and great presentation! I really liked the little inventory pop-up, and the way the backpack animates. I actually didn't mind the long process to attack - it felt like I had to rummage around in my backpack and prepare for battle, and then carefully strike with my limited resources.
I gotta say though, it was very frustrating to lose a level because of bad dice rolls. I'm curious about the option to throw away dice - was there ever any point where that's useful? Also, as much as I like using the little inventory menu I feel like having to manually grab the dice out of the chest is a bit too far, unless there was a reason that you might want to leave dice in there that I missed out on.
Great work overall though, very well polished!
Haha... In this version of the game, throwing away dice is absolutely useless! My original concept for the game contained larger levels with multiple chests, so when your inventory got full you would have to throw out or swap dice. (Almost like Animal Crossing)
Ah, so did you originally plan to have different kinds of dice with different abilities? So you would have to choose which dice to keep?
Yeah, my original concept was something like that. I had to scale down the idea a little to finish in 48 hours, though... I think that was one of the only "features" that I didn't get to implement in time though...
That's a fun and cute game! ^^
The inventory feels unituitive (exit and attack being on the same key for instance), but the character controls smoothly.
The gameplay is interesting, but I wonder if it would be possible to get stuck if you get only unlucky rolls, since score is essential to defeat ennemies?
Visually, it looks great, loved the little star rod reference when you end a level. ^^
It's a great submission, good work! =)
In this version of the game, I don't know how easy it would be to get stuck... But I am planning to input remapping and options such as auto-equip and auto-close the inventory after equipping a dice. Thanks for the feedback!
Cute pixel art! Using the dice as the weapons was interesting, but the controls could be a little tighter. Regardless, fun game! :)
Love the art style! Great concept! The only thing I didn't like is the keyboard controls. It just didn't feel intuitive to me. I kept pressing the wrong thing when menuing and trying to attack. It looks like the controller configuration would have been much easier for me. Honestly, I think maybe simply swapping the interact and jump keys would have fixed the awkwardness I experienced. Other than that minor issue, great job with this!
Cool game! The character is very responsive and the way you incorporated the dice rolling was really neat! I found the controls to be a bit unintuitive but overall I had a lot of fun! Great game!
I'm digging the art style and whole vibe of the game. Good job!
Cute art, nice level design, good music, good game!
Thanks for playing!
Super cute game! Nice controls and graphics and it makes me all nostalgic!
Thanks for playing!
