Simple concept but well executed! Very polished too! I enjoyed the level design of all the puzzles!

Submitted

Wow the polish from this is incredible, I really love how all the controls feel, great work!

Submitted

Awesome game! I really would liked to have an idea like this, really polish visuals and sound, even for a simple game it feels really polished, great job!

Developer

Well to make you feel better, the idea turned out to be not as original as I thought it would be, to say the least ha. Thank you for reviewing it.

Very impressed you did this in 48 hours! It feels like a very complete experience already. The menus, transitions, animations, and music all feel so polished

This is a very popular concept in this jam, but this game does make some improvements to the formula. One of them being that the needed number has to point upwards instead of downwards - unlike in many competitors - which makes the game far more enjoyable. I also like the undoing, as it prevents getting softlocked.

The game feels really polished and the visuals are very pretty. I especially like the transition effect! Good job

This is a very well crafted and polished dice turning game.  Now there are a lot of this game in this jam. So its gonna be hard to stand out.  But this one is one of the best if not the best executed takes on this type of dice game.

Developer

Yes you are so right about unoriginality! I feel like this theme was somewhat less flexible than the previous themes, and yeah that's pretty awkward that so many games are almost the same. Thank you for reviewing this game!

Submitted

Wow, this game is surprisingly hard. I've seen other games with similar mechanics to it, but this one doesn't have "dice face preview" or whatever you want to call it. Where you can easily see which side of the dice is on which. It's a bit hard to keep track of that. So, I found myself lost most of the time.

The music and presentation are great as well.

I got stuck at some point, but after looking at the menu I think I completed most of the levels though!

Developer (1 edit)

Heh, we thought of either face preview or a camera, and didn't end up doing either because of time constrains. Thank you so much for playing this little game. Have a great day my dear fellow!

After finishing the game completely, I have to say that this game is actually really fun and pretty thought provoking. I especially like the fact that this strays from the other roll the dice around a tile games by making it so that the player has to get through a lot of gates to even get to the end. Furthermore, the execution of the game itself was good and I really liked both the art and the music. Overall, I don't have any rea complaints besides maybe having the undo key be something other than backspace or having it be remappable. Anyways, good luck on your submission! -Sincerely, Henry_Hamster

Developer

Thank you so much for this review. I think this should've been clarified but undo is also possible with escape if possible. Have an amazing day, my dear jammer.

Great game! I liked the approach and presentation. I do agree that the face up match does lead to some confusion, but I think it's the more sensible approach. I wonder if something can be done make  it more obvious ... also I saw another similar game implement camera rotation which I think could come in handy here (there are some obvious downsides but might be worth it). Awesome effort!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review! It is very helpful! We are happy to know you liked our game! Yes, we understand it can be made a little more easier and implement a better camera rotation! We actually thought about it, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to do that! But we might plan another version of this game if this game gets into the Top #100 overall or better!

BEST OF LUCK:)

I think I could've lit up the face on top with red when it's wrong, then it will definitely make sense. Have a wonderful day my friend!

I like that idea!

Great job on the music and art, this was a super chill experience. I liked the automatic undo, and I'm glad it was easy to kind of bumble my way through haha. Loved it! Also the credits screen is cool and I liked how you included the debug level!

Developer(+1)

Thank for commenting! It means a lot! We are happy to hear that you liked our game! All music credits go to Chiptami and cool functionality to Skejeton! This would never be possible without them!

Hope you are having a great jam!

Ha! Someone noticed that level at last. There's some unreachable secrets in this level too, but nobody will ever know tee-hee. Thanks for playing my dear friend. Have an awesome day.

Gawd damn, those transitions!! Very, very impressive. Loved the sounds too. :D

Developer

The transitions did add a lot of life into the game indeed, just like the sound effects made by Chiptami. Thank you so much for playing. Have a great day :)

Developer

Happy to hear that you liked our game! Transitions all are credits to Skejeton and all music credits to Chiptami! This would not be possible without them! Thank you for your comment! It means a lot!

Haha I got confused because there are so many other games here like this where the matching face must be on the bottom.

Very very nice presentation! The music is awesome, the click when you are moving, the animations. Chef's kiss!

Developer

First of all, thank you for commenting! It means a lot! Haha, yes I sometimes confuse myself because of other games where the matching faces must be on the bottom! However, we did this intentionally so that it might lead to some fun! All the soundtracks and SFX credits go to Chiptami, who made this game the best with her music skills.

Happy to hear you liked it!

BEST OF LUCK:)

Developer

You are quite right, the face match on the top was done because the top face can actually be seen, I thought making it on the bottom would be frustrating, especially when the orientations of the faces don't match

Submitted

Ooo, I like you twiest on the puzzle with dice. Nice music and art style. It's funny, My team made a similar game.

Developer(+1)

It is great to hear that you liked our game! All music credits go to Chiptami and all art credits go to Skejeton! This would not have been possible without them! The concept we chose was quite common, so I see how your concept matches ours! Looking forward to playing your game when I find some spare time! I would like to see how your team has taken the approach to this game!

BEST OF LUCK:)

Even though this entry is very similar to other entries I feel like it's unfair to compare it to them too much or dock creativity for just happening to come up with a similar idea to others.  I really like this concept and the presentation is top notch!  Being able to see only 2 sides should be enough to deduce the exact orientation of the die but makes it just that much harder but other than that it's pretty good <3

Developer

First of all, we are happy that you liked our game. Next, presentation and music are something that we worked on quite a lot so we are happy it is paying off! Now, coming to the negatives, yes we know that the game has similar concepts to quite a few other games. We think we took the simple concept as we were running out of time. Furthermore, we know that it is enough to deduce the orientation, but as people are finding it difficult, we apologize for this issue as well. We are happy to have your constructive feedback and we, hopefully, might make another version of this game if it reaches the Top #100 overall or better!

Hope you are having a nice jam!

BEST OF LUCK:)

Its a good game. Very clean with its implementation.

I did find an issue/feature. I think it was intentional. Like the dice won't go further if I am supposed to land on a tile with a number 3 and I land on it with 3 but different orientation.

I don't think it should be hard locked to orientation as it reduces the number of solutions you can have to your puzzle. People can only arrive to the final outcome using the pre-determined solution. For some puzzles its fine, but here, in this particular game, I think it should be allowed to roll further even if they land on it with different orientation.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, we understand that the game is pretty hard and we apologize for the problem caused. The reason for such a pre-designed solution was, I guess, a bad time management! However we are happy the game is polished and it still is good.

We might make another version of this game if the game gets in the Top #100 overall or better!

Hope you are having a nice jam!

BEST OF LUCK:)

The orientation part was completely intentional. But thank you the feedback!
