Fortune telling was an interesting take on the theme. I've seen a few of them this jam but yours was pretty unique with the mechanics. I like the concept, but I was finding it hard to follow the gameplay initially, I think more visual feedback would be good. Having everything on the screen at once is nice since it is controlled by the mouse, but I would think about what is actually necessary for the player. Other than this, it's a great effort for the jam, good luck!

I really liked this game's interpretation of the theme!

Something that would be helpful while playing would be to have sense of progress. The tutorial was also very comprehensive except for the of the flip sides of the card which I think would have been helpful.

Trying to sympathize and find out what each person needs was really fun. Seeing  the interconnected stories was also well done. An awesome game all in all!

The concept on display in this game is super unique for the jam, and the subject matter you are dealing with is weighty and grounded. I think it was a very bold decision and it payed off.

I think the deduction game play that relies on the player being able to empathize with these humans they cant see and determine when its best to help them and when its time to lie is such an interesting dynamic, and what makes it more interesting is you didn't provide obvious answers all the time, you left it up to the paler to choose what they thought was best and what would help or allow profit from the person. really good work. My only feedback is that I wish there was sound for submitting a card, and a correct sound and an incorrect sound. Honestly the game reminds me a bit of papers please not like completely but in its ethical dilemmas that it presents to the player. So gameplay wise, great work.

Now for presentation. The game looked good, and i mean really good. It gave me a bit of a derelict dos vibe, and I'm totally hear for it. I also think the music worked really well, to highlight the experience that this job would actually entail. The music came off a chill, but also somewhat tragic. My only feedback is the cards look slightly out of place aesthetically, and that you might add  some sort of more visible notification for when a new client reaches out.

Overall, I think you did a really good job, and I was solidly impressed with how well you implemented this rather cerebral idea. Thank you for sharing.

I like to make decisions for others, although I almost always turn out to be wrong : D Is the dice theme not developed?

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing!  remember the theme was a roll of the dice, an idiomatic expression that can also refer to the luck involved in a decision or action, an actual die is not required to fit the theme, my game rather was a comment on risk taking

That's a really unique game! It looked really polished, and the text on the right hand side was very helpful. I think in the future it might be a good idea to reduce the amount of times the player has to click, as it felt a little much as is. Also, and I don't know if this might make it easier to play or not, but showing the player what the correct answer is when they get it wrong would be nice.

Very interesting and complex game. I had a good time playing this. Also, vibin' to the Kevin MacLeod music 🎵

Pretty nice game! It was a really nice concept and it guided me pretty well through the different cards. The atmosphere was great with the music + art complimenting the vibe nicely

I like the concept! I think there are a few too many clicks needed and some of the text/UI elements should be edited to be a bit more clear. Other than that, overall great! It's not glitchy or anything, the situations are super varied and interesting, and the art looks overall pretty good. Once I understood what I was meant to do I got a lot more engaged in the game.

I feel like this would be a very good concept! :) However i think the instructions and tutorial can be a lot more clear, since i still dont really know what the cards do or what to do in general. But other than that, the art is great and i think this has a lot of potential :D

Super interesting entry! The amount of clicks required to "clear" a client could probably be reduced to improve immediate input feedback. With that said, once I properly understood the gameplay loop, I definitely began enjoying it a lot more! A novel idea with room for polish!

its confusing, presentation needs to be clearer and have a more specific goal.

The tutorial level was a huge help! Great work including one. I really enjoy games like this, you guys created a really great game system in such a short time frame. I really like the constant reflection aspect where I had to weigh things up against my conscience. I did find that if I sent an incorrect card, there wasn't really any huge consequence if I also sent the correct card too. I think playing with that might be interesting! It might feed into your narrative really well and it's something that could expand this universe a bit. Great submission!

Thanks for the comment! I think you are probably right about a penalty for the wrong card, I was worried about the difficulty for the sake of the jam players. I think in future iterations I would probably add more cards over time and more persistent consequences from the story for things going wrong

This game was very confusing at first but I just never was able to get into it. The art style was really good though.

a lot of information at the beginning of the game, but the game itself is good, you did a good job.

if you have the time, could you watch my game and give me feedback too?

Very creative.  Very ambitious for such a short jam.  You did well

The art is cool and this is a funny game although at first it was confusing, once you understand the mechanics it gets better!

Awesome game!
