Glad I had node.js already installed, so It was a great time playing it! Loved the concept and the art style.

Shouldn't selectng “HTML” for kind of project fix the upload of the game? Because it has everything to work: it's in a .zip, and it has an index.html file.
Unless some fetch queries don't work in itch (generally for assets). Most of the times I had errors because I did fetch on absolute paths (/asset/) instead of relative (./asset). Only the latter works in itch (as the game runs in an iframe). Hope you'll be able to fix the upload after the jam!
Anyway, this was a fun idle game! The look and animations of the game are great, and the UX is generally pretty clear (only exception being the shop where I thought there would be drag and drop). I was a bit surprised that the game start directly in a passive scene: after reading the tutorial, I was expecting to be asked to do something, I was clicking everywhere and thought I missed something important. Maybe starting with a shop would both engage better the player, and help them familiarize with the dices? Especially given that the faces are well designed and self explanatory! I forgot most of the rules, but was still able to understand everything.
Globally it's a great game. There is a strong feeling of progress as we customize our dice, and reaching the end was very satisfying. Great work!
hey i'm trying to play your game but i can't! I really wanted to play it and be able to evaluate it before the jam ended. can you help me? in the folder there is no executable, but it has an html file. when I open that file, the webpage is blank and nothing happens.
I downloaded the itchio app to see if it was a problem with the computer (or with me lol), but it's blank too, I'll send you a print.
Hi! No worries, our game had some technical difficulties during submission and ended up having a complex download process. Will definitely fix the ease of access after jam is over. You have to run the web server to see the game via these steps. Let me know if there is any further trouble and thanks for coming the check out our game!
oh, complicated! lol
sorry, I didn't succeed in the mission (and I did it step by step...), even so, I must have done something wrong at some important moment. When I put the link in my browser, I can access the unzipped build folder, however, it is empty.
I'll see if someone else on my team can play =]
Anyway, from the game preview and description, the art is definitely beautiful, the game idea seems interesting to me (I really want to play it), and for that same reason, the game looks pretty fun. Congrats on your submission =]
I had a lot of fun designing the dice and getting the balance right between offence and defence. I think the enemies could have been a tad tougher, and the UI could have been a bit clearer with how much dice faces cost (unless I just missed it). I thought this was a really fun take on the theme and glad I got it set up!
I really enjoy the idea of getting to design the dice you use, it adds so much depth to the game and gives you control over the rng removing any unfairness, and also makes for a very compelling gameplay loop! That combined with the awesome character designs and animations made for a great experience!
Very well done! :D
I really liked this game! It has room for so many strategic choice and build a player could make. I like the auto battle, but could be improved with some sort of "hurry" mechanic, maybe increasing output damage each turn, avoinding infinite loop (I can put 12 block and enemies can never kill me).
I really liked the music and the art style, and it's also very creative. Good job!
I won! 🏆 I wanted to do a TD or an auto chess game when brainstorming for the jam, but my team didn’t feel like it, so I’m glad I came across your game.
I felt in control of the battles when choosing my loadout, so that’s great. If you can expand it, I think adding a story bit before going into the fight / after defeating the boss would make it even better 😊
It's a bit technical to get the game to run. It might be useful to include a .bat file or something that takes care of the terminal work for you. But that said, I think the concept was quite fun and I would've love to see what you can do with it if you keep working on it. Great job!
Ohh this was quite good! I love the idea of customizing your dice to create a particular loadout and roll for certain ideas. Rerolling shops were interesting too. I ended up creating a build around the gold damage effect, which seems quite busted at the moment as I was able to one-shot enemies with it after a while. Artstyle and music are clean as well. The game was honestly quite easy so I just played around with damage builds.
I would probably add some more feedback effects for the combat to make it feel a bit juicier and create a nice feedback loop for the player. It was kinda hard to keep track of battles but it was quite easy after I knew what to look out for.
Others have already said this but yeah, the installation process is a huge accessibility hurdle to go through. Luckily I already had node.js installed from working with it on non-gamedev-related projects, so it was no issue for me.
Overall, great submission! I could see this being turned into a full game with more fleshing out and additional content. Could make a good mobile game. Keep making games :)
Very nice! I like the art and music, and the strategy is really interesting! It is unfortunate how it requires some installation, but it's worth it.
I really liked the art/character designs, it added a nice charm to the game. The concept was also executed really well!
Great art! Really liked all the fish enemies, the healing catfish guy in the back was my favorite. I got rolled (pun intended) by the boss though lol
I think it'd be nice to have an even faster speed-up option, since once you get into combat you can't really influence anything anyways. Last year for GMTK we also made a deck-builder, so I'm digging your project a lot. Great work!
This game is incredible! The art and music is amazing, the scaling in difficulty is great, and I really feel that with some more mechanics and levels this could be a really successful game on stores!
very fun game!
the art is amazing
the music is amazing
this turned out to be one of the games i actually played til the end
i wish you would've given more visual and auditory feedback as to what's going on
for example when the player is shielding you'd display a shield, and play an according sound effect.
that kinda stuff
also, this game deserves WAY more ratings but it's so sad that getting it to run is so difficult.
this could've definitely been up there.
other than that very, very impressive for a gamejam
great job!
The art and music are very cool! I especially love these stylish characters! The balance of shop and dice values is excellent. On my second run, I knew there was a boss at the end, so I prioritized damage over hitting a lot of enemies.
I did the same strategy as in Critical (another turn-based fighting game with dice), by having a damage dice and a protection/health dice ^^ But here the double damage dice adds more compromise .
About the installation (not part of my note):
It's complicated to install the game, and the Node.js requires 3 GB of free storage. I think a jam game should be easy to get into. You could have more players with a browser game directly in the web page, or with a downloadable exe file.
I really like the art style. The game could become addicting by adding some customisation options
The art and presentation are really amazing! The concept and gameplay are also very fun. Awesome job!
