Wow, this result goes beyond all my expectations!
Thank you for the work you’ve done! :D
The rng can sometimes be annoying, but it’s part of the core mechanic. While developing the game, I considered whether the player should have more control, but in the end, I thought it would be difficult to find the right balance in such a short time. In a future version, I’ll do some additional tuning to try to find a sweet spot. Thanks for your feedback! ^-^
[Whip noises] - Oh, yes, a little side note, the Ringmistress is not a singer... She is the circus owner. XD

Well, this sure required some effort... But I don't regret any single second. XD
I love the concept and how it integrates the theme, it makes replaying the levels multiple times a fun experience, which I think is hard to achieve. The level design is also really clever: what at first looks like a single path is actually a combination of multiple paths (and solutions) put together.
In my opinion there are room for improvments, the game needs some polish here and there. There are mainly two things that stood out to me the most.
First, some imprecisions in the platforming. For example, a few jumps felt difficult because they responded inconsistently to inputs, almost as if there was some rng involved. Landing on enemies was also tricky at times, the character seemed to be perfectly above them, but was actually off by a pixel, which felt quite frustrating. Related to this, the enemy colliders didn’t seem properly aligned with their sprites.
The other thing that could be improved is the UI. I would’ve liked to see both the powers and the missions displayed on screen. Showing the progression within the loop would also be useful, as well as giving the player the option to restart the whole loop or skip to the next level.
At the end, I think that my playtime speaks by itself. It was fun, thanks for your submission! ^^
Thank you for your feedback!
I wasn’t sure whether to explicitly tell the player what the different effects do, because I liked the idea of having a surprise factor the first time you see a new card. In the end, I went with a bit of a mix, and the result isn’t great. Under time pressure I didn’t spend much time thinking it through, but now I agree, I should have made it clear. ^-^"
To make things worse, we had designed the Ringmistress level as a boss battle. The different cards represent the game's characters (for example, the balloon animal on a yellow background is the Clown), and thematically, she was supposed to recall their abilities and gimmicks.
Here's the big problem: I didn’t have time to set the restriction that makes her accessible only as the last one, so if the player chose her level first (which is likely, since the microphone is the first item on the left), they end up feeling lost and confused. Sorry for that! XD
I LOVED this entry! Make this amount of interactions, animations and polish is absurd for in such a short time. You guys seriously did a lot of hard work!
My favourite part are the dialogues, they are fun and interesting. Some puzzle are maybe a bit out of place (like, why there is a pile of boxes in front of a corridor? XD) but it's not really a big deal.
What I missed the most was a fast-forward button to ease the repetition of having to solve the same puzzle multiple times. Also some animations are long, I didn't want to see them again 2/3 times.
Overall I had a lot of fun playing the game, thanks you for making it!
Interesting concept and very well polished execution!
I want to share just a couple of feedback on something that could be improved.
About the mechanics, I think they are well designed, but sometimes feels a bit too random (rolling dices, where upgrade spawns, where diamond spawns, shop choices...). I would prefer to have more control over at least one of those aspects.
The game flow is really cool, the complexity increase over time as the board expands. On the downside, because the numbers on dices do not increase, I felt like the outer loop took ages to be completed.
The game has good sounds, but I would like to have some background music help to set a mood.
Overall the game it's solid and engaging, well done! ^^
