I always wanted to do this irl
I wanted to incorporate cheating elements in our game, but we ran out of time. I’m glad I found a game where I can cheat 😁
There’s a surprising depth to the gameplay, especially because you can order your deck in the beginning, so at first I played it randomly but once I got the hang of it I started planning ahead and it was fun.
Interesting subversion of expectations, I liked the "switching the roles" thing. UI seemed a bit confusing at first, but I figured it out. Nice submission.
Alright well ignoring that I don't really know blackjack. This is a interesting setup for the theme for sure. I had a decent amount of fun planning out how to make my person lose, or how to make them win randomly to get the most money. I definitely feel like this is the kind of game that could have a long time spent trying to get to get the highest score in terms of money out of people.
Though I feel like that would definitely go over better for people that understand blackjack more for sure.
Still an interesting setup even without that knowledge though.
Especially the limited switching of cards allowing for a bit ofd strategy planning. A t least when I remember which one is my client.
Besides that though it's definitely got some interesting strategy to the "avoid" suspicion angle. Though I feel like it would be interesting if it focused more on people getting super powerful cards, rather than number of wins. Though that's probably a little harder to do than just doing it based off wins, though it would allow for some more complex plays. Which to be honest, I was aiming for without knowing how suspicious works.
Overall though for 2 days this is a pretty good, at least from what I understand, recreation of being a blackjack dealer. A very very mean blackjack dealer, but a dealer nonetheless.
I like the idea, but I don't know blackjack. There are some instructions, but I could't completely figure out how the score works. What I do understand, is that there is some forward thinking and memorization involved, which can make things exciting up until the reveal, having you constantly second-guess yourself. It's a cool idea. I'm not sure whether this really fits the theme though.
Cool concept! It was fun to try and manipulate the deck to create a rigged game. I wish that it was easier to see some information in some way, because the amount of info needed to memorize is a lot, especially with the different types of deals. Cheating is always an interesting mechanic to do in games and you did it well!
Hmm, it's interesting to play not as a player, but as a dealer. Interesting experience, thanks!
Feels like the visual can be better, but in the end it's a blackjack game so it doesn't really need that. Good one!
There's no denying that this game is quite fun and that there's a ton of depth here as there is in the game of Blackjack normally. Your role as a cheater card dealer is exciting and unique, especially for this jam, and it offers you a lot of control over luck which is appreciated. The art is charming and the music is something I'd consider listening to outside of the game. I think my only complaint is that the core concept of "rolling dice" is rather obscure and that your game is for all intents and purposes a recreation of an established card game instead of something truly original. Overall I loved it, great job on this one
Interesting take on the theme! I found it incredibly well-designed, and the music was enjoyable as well! The gameplay was unique and interesting (a twist on a classic game is always good), and the general strategy of "changing luck" was fantastic. Enjoyed this a lot!
An impressively thoroughly designed game! I can see the appeal of getting really good at it, feels similar to how you feel after mastering an elaborate card trick.
A bit confusing that they're playing blackjack without a house but otherwise good.
Good music, cheating seems difficult to master, really good concept, nicely done! And good music too!
im a big fan of the music, i ended up leaving it on in the background while i did other things, but the actual gameplay is very interesting, having to switch between helping your guy and playing normally, i'm a big fan. i also do like the kinda puzzle element with the card shuffling. overall quite a good game.
