very addicting :)

i really like the mechanics of using the boxes as platforms, albeit a bit janky at times. You can place boxes into walls as well. I guess the only thing that really needs work here would be the graphics, since they look really primitive and inconsistent but telling from the time you had until the deadline that probably wasn't possible. Still good job for only seven days :)
i dont think getting a lawsuit filed on you is something you should just shrug off, let alone having the risk of getting one. best case scenario, you'll get a DMCA or a C&D letter, and at worst, if i understand law correctly you can be in for a lot of money considering how big of a company Viacom is.
the gameplay is very easy to figure out after a couple rounds, which is a very good thing. Nice interpretation of the theme as well. My main complaint here would be a audio. The sound effects for when the meter goes up and down can get annoying after a while. But aside from that, this was really well put together. Well done!
the lighting in the game was pleasing to look at, i like the colors :) the platforming was good as well, but i got stuck at the second section of the first level where the camera would scroll up really fast, barely giving me any time to react. and by the way, youre allowed to update the game submission as long as it's a game-breaking bug, which it is in your case. Other than that, the amount I played was very nice. Good job!
the voxel art was charming and nice :) the gameplay was fun for a while too, but it does get repetitive after like 10 minutes. I would also use progress bars for the health intstead of a sprite with text on it. It's way easier to tell how much damage you've done to an enemy that way. But this was still an enjoyable game. Well done!
I like the colors in the different levels. But i feel like the player controller that was used was more-so made for speed rather than precision, which is what a majority of the levels revolve around imo. i beat the first level in like 4 jumps lol. But besides that, this game was pretty fun to play. good job!
fun concept, from the comments i could easily see this being inspired by The Cube. Imo the animations and graphics could use a lot of work. The player doesn't look like they're actually holding the weapon most of the time, and the transition between reloading and idling/running is rough. Also, the graphics could use some post-processing and more consitency imo. The sound effects got really repetitive/annoying as well.
This game has a lot of potential with some more polish, but good job for just one week!
I like the environment and the house setting, but i feel like the flashlight's range is a bit too short. I get that this was to make it more realistic, but most of the time you're looking at the floor or the walls since that's what's closest to you when you're walking down a hallway/across a room. You also can't see much when you're hiding since the flashlight's off and the only other thing lighting the house are candles, which don't help much. I think the monster was also stuck at the corner of the staircase where the wall ends, so I don't think it was chasing me around much.
But this game has a lot of potential to be really good. It's got the fundamentals, but just needs a few more tweaks to be a great game.
one of the more unique games i played during this jam :) Great interpretation of the theme also. the gameplay is really addicting, but it feels like the enemies can easily outrun you if you're not careful enough if that wasn't intentional. The enemy sounds can get a bit annoying also. But this was a really good submission nonetheless, great job!
i love how this is literally just glorified gambling. I feel like having the game being entirely based on luck detriments the game experience a bit (idk why i worded it that way). Having some simple minigames in the doors would make the game a lot better imo. There also doesn't seem to be any audio. But still, cool concept and has potential!
