The game was nice, the world-building / ambience was the highlight of it. Controls wise it was very annoying to get the sheep around. They enjoyed getting stuck on many different objects (and it tended to just be trying to move them around the entire time to various locations which tended to be the same)

10/10 would puzzle again

Frog

Frog

It was before the deadline, I even got a rating in after

I have it on discord for proof you cannot stop me

Why

Its a fun game. Managed to get a win after a couple tries (using just space and shift). There's one slightly unfair mechanic of the ball that comes from behind you possibly arriving at the same time as you are passing by one of the static obstacles which makes it impossible to dodge though

Police siren over top of everything and much louder than them also got a bit annoying

Huh yeah that shouldnt be random, it just snaps to the grid so might take 0.1s after you press it to go into effect

Really nice game. Music is nice and compliments the gameplay nicely and theres a nice progression with the larger balls. Gets pretty difficult once you get to the really large ones.

It is just the one system pretty much but thats fine for it being a jam game. Just if you want to continue post jam youll probably have to expand it out

you can tell it's the thing I spent the most work on and definitely was not done in the last day lol

Enemy colliders being big is a bug with the restart system

(1 edit)

Wasnt able to run it

Trying to run the windows version has the game being extremely slow (even though its only taking maximum 3% of my computer resources). Graphics settings didnt seem to change the game or the lag at all. After that tried to get in on mobile and received an error of "There was a problem while parsing the package"

(1 edit)

Yeah theres some bugs with the restart system. You ran into one of them I believe where the damage stacks up after restarting

Fixes on a refresh

if youre on Mac the web build won't work on chromium browsers or safari. The download version and Firefox work

knockback through the collider for the world border. Typically due to two hits stacking up at once

yeah there's unfortunately a bug atm that does that. No way I know of to get back in. Will be fixed once the post jam version is out

Also for a thumbnail tip idk how your CTR is atm but I would click on your first screenshot as the thumbnail way more than the actual thumbnail atm. It overall seems a lot more polished

Wandered around for awhile not finding anything and was gonna give up but then saw your comment about the footprints and instantly found the way after that lol. Its extremely well hidden but should have guessed due to the eyes it would be over there. Definitely could feel the descent into craziness as I tried to figure out where tf the noise is.

Post jam I think it would make the game play a lot nicer if you didnt have to use mouse for things. e.g. for interacting with objects using space instead

The art doesnt really mesh together atm due to differing pixel sizes which makes it look more unpolished than it could be otherwise. Its also relatively simple art but it honestly works, the eye effect is great

First tried to play it without reading the game page and managed to get a decent score but was confused due to the movement system. After reading the game made a lot more sense. Game plays pretty nice, was fun to go through and try to plan it out so I dont get stuck

Main thing that can be added post game is just various QOL additions. For example still showing the blocks that are being placed when its an invalid spot and just marking its invalid (e.g. wit transparency, color, or whatever else looks nice). Showing the currently placing shape somewhere in the UI. Auto detecting when the player is stuck. Making it more apparent visually when blocks on different sides can have the bunny move from one to the other (hard to eyeball it atm when they get larger). Making the movement system explained through things in game a bit more

Really fun game. Music works well with it and the graphics and polish on them are great. I like the Laika theming (only reason I know Laika is cause of the one eurovision song though lol). Sometimes the upgrades can generate two of the same time (one a lower level than the other) which gives less options for choices. Also a bit hard to tell what the health of the planet is if its your first run

got almost 13k on my first run (did no healing)

if youre on Mac the web version doesn't work on Mac and you'd have to use the download version (or firefox)

One i can think of off the top of my head is swapping the positions of two weapons

Nice little game. The looping around and then getting stronger to being able to defeat previously undefeatable enemies was great. Music works well as well as the sfx that are in. Theres some sfx missing for things but its not major, think you've got pretty much all the core sfx in.

It does get a bit repetitive after handful of loops but thats just due to jam time contraints (addition of story & more tiles and stuff on the board like was said below would definitely help)

The UI has a lot of missmatching styles atm. Theres some different pixel sizes and things like black outline vs dark blue. Also elevation on some but not others

Really nice how the loop was incorporated into the story. Everything ties back into itself. Normally dont play visual novels (and its rare to see one in a jam) but this one held my interest the entire time which made it nice to go through. Audio and visuals were great and complemented the gameplay really well. Tbh don't have much else to say about it its just solid

but on windows mac or linux. The web build doesnt work on mac which is why im asking

Nice little game. Visuals and everything works well together. Music gets a bit repetitive though since its a really small loop

Found a way to abuse the map generation by having two planets spawn in close proximity to one another. Orbiting around one planet knocks you into the orbit of the other planet which puts you back into the first orbit. While the rockets doing this it keeps getting points from going back and forth to new planets. And then fuel occasionally spawns on one of the two planets making it so that you can just continually camp to rack up points while not doing anything.

Im going to assume I have the world record now lol. This score was just from me leaving the rocket on the two planets and not doing anything else (I typed this comment and did some other work while it was doing its thing)

Game plays really well. I like how the knowledge checkpoints was integrated into this to have puzzles unlock new areas like they do. Music fits the vibes of the game (but does get a bit repetitive)  and the visuals are nice (addition of the rotating camera is also great).

I would say this is more of a toy rather than a game in its current state. Its the base of mechanics that can then be built on in different ways depending on how you would want to take the gameplay. Seems like you overscoped a bit which is fair but my comments will mostly just be for if you want to expand on it post jam. Music atm is a bit repetitive since its the same loop over and over, swapping that to be a larger looping pattern would help that feel a lot nicer. The visuals are fine but theres some mismatching UI styles atm that would look better if they all followed the same structure. You've got some with an outline and others without for example

What OS and browser (if on web) are you using

Its got a good base with the wall running and parkour here but theres some things that make it feel a bit unsatisfying to use atm. The look behind at the wall stealing the mouse input, the fall being a bit floaty making it take a bit to get to lower areas, some sections needing you to slow down heavily (the bridge with tiles). Gave it a bunch of shots but since it starts you back at the beginning every time its hard to practice the later sections (and then you have to go through the starting areas over and over with the things I said above)

Music and visuals fit. Music if you continue post jam could probably have some smooting to make it seem more natural instead of just doing a hard cut (e.g. when you respawn the old version fades out while a new version of the track fades in). Youd have to test to see what sounds nice but that kind of thing

Can you send an image of what you mean?

The tutorial is the gameplay. Theres the dialogue and then youre meant to be playing the game in the background (so it can teach you how to do things)

Its a cool idea for a game. Kinda a forced speedrun. Being able to see all your past runs as ghosts are great. The physics can screw you as some points unfortunately (once you hit an obstacle you tend to wipeout so much that that loop tends to be a lost cause) & theres some parts where ive gotten it to flip me upright somehow which forces the need to respawn

Music was nice and worked with the gameplay. Same with the visuals. The entire vibes reminds of the game distance tbh which is nice

(1 edit)

Is it that none of the controls are working? That seems to happen for some reason for a couple people but the download version worked when I saw someone try it after

Shootings done by making a loop around food (shoots the food at the nearest enemy)

yeah Sir Loopsalot likes to do sumo. Going near the edges when fighting him tends to be a bad time

Surprisingly fun. Was enjoying just having the goblins go around. One thing is that its really hard to gauge how risky doing another loop is. You kinda have to trial and error it but if you lose a battle you end up losing a bunch of progress since now you have to loop around another 6 times or something

The addition of a speed up button is appreciated. Sometimes I also wish I could just get it to auto continue though until I toggle that off.

Music bops

Pretty good game. Havent seen much do this kind of idea before and I would say it does it pretty well with the timeloops. Almost got to 200k on my first run through

How dare it limit me to 500 shares, I need to go bankrupt from massive loans

Visuals are great and they work well with the gameplay. The concept of having limited characters is nice so people have to plan around that. Its still pretty easy to note down a ton of info though (in the later days I mostly just did number to number for where I want to buy and sell. e.g. 4to11-16to22)

Nice small puzzle game. Was fun to think through them (although I think I bypassed some of the puzzles with the dash). It seemed a bit weird that the corpse wasn't being spawned at the exact position that the player died in (meant that I then had to move it around after planning to have it be on a spot)

Some of the sounds cut out due to there being a scene switch right after they play (the sound for going into the goal). Makes it seem a bit less polished. Something post jam if you want to work on it more that would be a nice addition is also having the player react a bit more to things like jumping. (e.g. making eyes blink, etc.) just to add more weight to it. Even just some squash and stretch
