Loved the ending cutscene the noise wasn't annoying either which is great for the loop you had going.
Wandered around for awhile not finding anything and was gonna give up but then saw your comment about the footprints and instantly found the way after that lol. Its extremely well hidden but should have guessed due to the eyes it would be over there. Definitely could feel the descent into craziness as I tried to figure out where tf the noise is.
Post jam I think it would make the game play a lot nicer if you didnt have to use mouse for things. e.g. for interacting with objects using space instead
The art doesnt really mesh together atm due to differing pixel sizes which makes it look more unpolished than it could be otherwise. Its also relatively simple art but it honestly works, the eye effect is great
Visually the game was great! Really managed to sell off that off putting ambience super well, all the subtle effects like the eyes and fireflies were also great. I'd say the only thing that mightve lacked was a sense of direction in the start of the game since there isnt much info so you kinda aimlessly wander around hoping to find something. But thats my only kinda nitpick though, other small nitpicks are just that the bushes have an oddly large square collider compared to their model and that the player animation makes it look like theyre floating when walking :>
I really enjoyed this! I think it hit me exactly as you intended it to. I got it as a random suggestion, and played it without checking any description. Got lost for ~10 minutes, then found the source. I was confused about the discs and hats and didn't get the point during the play, and then, once I got the end and went back to the house again, it all hit me, and I got goosebumps... It was a really pleasant experience for me, great narrative!
This game seems pretty cool, and the audio just adds SO much to the vibe of the game, but honestly I was just wandering around clueless which didn't feel the best, so maybe could've added more hints? And outside of like the title screen, the art just feels very amateur, and I feel like takes away from the vibe of the game a ton as a horror game
3/7
Great game! I think it could go well with some extra hints at what to do. Other than that it was pretty sick! Great art and sound.
The game looks really cool, I'm stuck exploring but I LOVEE the art!
Pretty cool game, really enjoyed the scariness of it all, the fine tuning, the green vibe and text. Well done!
I love the story here. A lot of Jam games don't really do "narrative". There's not enough time to add that onto an already very difficult task. Clearly you've cut a few corners with the polish/controls to focus on making a compelling story, and it has worked! I enjoyed my time with this more than most of the game I've played so far.
Congratulations on your fine entry.
