pulled two all nighters tryna fix my mess and STILL flopped. like... different issue, same pain.GAME DEV REALLY BE LIKE THAT SOMETIMES but xp gained :)
i had a really cute idea for this theme and truly believed i could make it. but since i'm not a game developer, i got stuck on a mechanic (MAIN MECHANIC LOL) and no matter what i tried for the past two days, i just couldn't solve it.... T⌓T so unfortunately, i won’t be joining this jam. still it was fun to try. good luck to everyone participating
how'll you know if we really made the game within 60 minutes? do we need to upload a screenshot from project showing when we started and finished? or are we just going with pure heart-to-heart trust here? :)))
btw i played your game lol:D really liked the visuals and the sound design. i just wasn’t totally sure what I was supposed to do at times. maybe a few more hints could help
thanks for playing <3 the first issue might actually be a bug — it didn’t happen during testing, but i’ll definitely look into it.
as for the teleporting: that’s part of the game😄 if you get too overpowered while jumping, you might lose control and end up warping to other zones instead... it’s a weird but fun side effect — and yey, confusing enough to feel like a bug 😅
thx for comment :) the “teleport” you felt is actually intentional — when you speed up and release the key, the character slides forward a bit. it’s like the cost of being overpowered — a bit harder to control 😄 totally get how it felt like a bug though... i see :)
