It is clever and interesting to add randomness to a chess game, while the result of each round doesn't have to be fully decided by skills. If there are any suggestions, I would say maybe the members don't need to be four directions. It increases the complexity of the game and brings lots of restrictions. The pixel art and SFX are awesome. Nice job!

the game look smooth and fun to play :3

you might wana add a lil tutorial though to understand the game even more :D

well made!

Hard to understand this game, I figure it out after a few minutes, the idea is good!

I don't really understand the need to roll for shots, if everything only has one health. But other than that, this is a pretty solid strategy game, good job!

Good game, I like the ideas. I wish the order of events was a bit clearer, or there were better instructions on when player 1 should go, when player 2 should roll, or try to move, etc.

Okay. So, being colourblind, it took me forever to understand what were the green and red players, since the rules in the description only use colours as indicators, and all the colors look the exact same on the board... ^^'
At first, I though the green were all the ones with arrows (since you use arrows to move them), and the red were the ones with a cross, by elimination. Needless to say it took some time (around 15 minutes) to get what I was supposed to do '~'

Just in case there are others colourblinds in my situation: the reds are the 4 arrows on top of the board, and the green the 4 on the bottom. The crosses are simply obstacles on the board.

Apart from that, the concept is really great! I have no one to play it with, but I can very well see the strategic game potential! You could even play it as a regular board game as it is, that's impressive.

Visually, it's very pretty! I can't give it a full score because of the whole color thing ('^') but I love how it look =)

It's a very great submission, nice job! ^^

A very interesting game! The controls take a little bit to understand, but after that, it's a really fun and simple game with a lot of strategy involved! I felt like player 1 and player 2 maybe should've been swapped but that might just be me personally. Great job!

The game is great, however, I would prefer more calm colors (but that's just my preference!)

Apart from that, the game is fun and well-build!

Great job!

A very neat and well crafted game, this reminds me of the gameboy game "Battle City". Would've been nice if there was even a basic AI as an opponent, but I understand that it would not be possible given the 50 hours limitation. Congrats on completing the jam !

it was 36 hrs for me cuz i had school too :(

Really interesting concept. Rolling for the amount of shots seems kind of pointless because everything has one health but presumably some dice would have more health. Nevertheless it was enjoyable and I had fun so that's all that matters right?

Developer

I actually agree I was planning to add health but time ran out

A really nice simple game! the controls remind me of the really old flash games! Nice job

The presentation and concept are really good! I completely understand the time restraints, though. I barely had the time to add a tutorial to my game. Nice job! :)

Developer

thankz for understanding bro

Submitted

Haha, of course... 48 hours is a very short time to make a full game in!

Developer

i had about 32 hours cuz I had school and exam at the same time thats why

Submitted

That's really unfortunate timing... Hope you had fun, though!

Developer

Please read description before playing!

A tutorial would be great as it takes some time to understand the game. Else: I really liked the font. A good choice for this game. The color scheme also fits the gameplay.

Developer

Really interesting idea, but definitely a little confusing to get the hang of. I wish there was some indicator on whose turn it was, or counters for how many moves you have left on your turn. This game has a lot of potential to be a really fun game to play with a friend! I love the artwork too, the colors are really easy on the eyes. Great work overall :)

Time is the greatest enemy :(

Submitted(+1)

I feel that haha. Definitely continue the game outside of the jam, what you have right now is a really interesting idea that could be taken so much further given more time!

Controls took a bit of time for me to understand, but quite fun once i got the hang of it and a very unique idea

Submitted

epic game

Takes a while to figure out but then mechanics are quite interesting! Kudos!

Developer

It does take a while. I kept every info in the description

Could not get anything to move. I don't understand. Best I got was 2 greens stuck in one corner.

Developer

I understand, use the arrow keys for moving green and w a s d to move the red
