How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
there is a boss enemy you can fight. Also, when enemies are on the edge of health, you can dash through them for a final blow. You can also reflect when you're on the edge of bullets!

What main engine/tool/language did you use to construct the game?

I do not know how I did not come up with a game like that for the jam xD I liked your game
I love the visuals and the game feel on this! I really liked that I had to constantly change weapons, it devirsified the game a lot. I'm not a fan of the spammy gameplay though, I would rather have some well telegraphed precise attacks than the buttload of bullets there is, because that makes me just spam the spacebar or I won't have any ammo. I also didn't get that the dash finishes off enemies on low life, that could've been explained a bit better.
Still, I had a lot of fun :)
Wow! Really beautiful game! I really dig the art style! The music was also able to set in the tone right away for me. Good Job!
good game
real cool
but the wall on the top is a bit buggy,it deletes the bullets that are not shot at its direction
but steal was a goof game :)
love the game amazing art and the sound effects were amazing great job although i wasnt sure what to do when i ran out of ammo?
Nice I love bullet hell type of games! One thing was odd was having the UI health and bullet amount in the shelves. I would have been better if they were in the top Left or right
they are holes in the walls, not shelves. and originally the UI was on the top of the screen but it made it harder to glance at it while in an active fight. having the bars closer to what's actually happening on screen makes them a lot easier to read, even if its not what's typically done in most games.
The level of love in this was apparent from the thumbnail alone. As soon as I saw it on the page of thumbnails I thought, "that one!" I'm glad the game didn't disappoint. It's tough when you put too many controls and mechanics into a jam game when you know most users are stopping in for a short play, but I thought you did a great job with the UI by having the mouse and spacebar on screen with their actions represented. I adore the art and animation. The crowd cheering me on kept me pumped up and the mice with guns are hilarious.
The player space felt a little too tight. I know you want to keep us in the action, but some room to move and plan out moves would be great and help build anticipation and let you design bigger enemy attacks with more telegraph movements. I found myself at the beginning of many rounds clearing out space to move around. Overall though, it's been one of my favorite games in the jam.
Not much to say that hasn't been said already by many others. But I'll throw a few words anyway!
Fun experience, cool design, few hiccup oopsies like the physics_process thing and the upper edge etc. Quick and easy fixes. As a rock and metal guy I appreciate the choice of rock for the game lol.
The only things I'd personally want to see was more info (stats, tier?) on the guns, and not having to spam space for best performance. My thumb muscles hurt now haha.
I can imagine this game being a bit arcade like, where the player plays through a series of rooms (through different acts?), bringing a lot of variation in enemies, scenery and a new boss for each act.
Fun Game! I Love The Art. The Game Is Hard. The Game Has Fun Controls, Not Much To Say, Good Game!
This is a really cool idea for a game. My only thing is that you dash towards the cursor rather than where you're moving. It makes sense since you want to dash immediately into an enemy when they're low, but if you're trying to play it safe and keep some distance, you generally don't want dash towards the thing trying to kill you. You also don't want to have to take the cursor off your target just to get away and then re-aim your sights (Though this one might just be me). I had fun playing even though I couldn't beat the boss
I had a hard time with the gameplay and ended up just spamming the reflect and the shoot keys. I think the biggest reason for that is bullets are fast and there is no "wind ups" before they attack.
that said, the visuals and sounds are amazing and variety of weapons was nice!
That's a good game overall. It's looking good, great player feedback too. The bullet mechanism with the reflection thing is interesting too. Maybe it requires a bit of balancing but so far, that's a cool entry.
Great game! very fun! it needs some balancing. Great art and music!
Here is some feedback :
- Bullet collision in top and left walls, but not so annoying.
- Too much buttons for my skills Shoot/Aim and the Reflect give me some coordination issue
The strengths :
- Neat Art
- Good implementation
- Music
This could be nice, if towers throw bullets in the same time that the music beat.
Congratulation, this is a neat game.
really nice graphics, and game flow, but is it normal for me to run out of bullets? could have a reload or something like that, but really nice graphics, it was what sold the game for me.
thanks for sharing and making this work for the jam cheers
Nicely done! Lots of fun and all the art and mechanics were well implemented. Nice difficulty level as well.
It took me a few rounds to figure out (I also did not read the directions) but, once it clicked it was tons of fun. Nice job, I like the pixel art and all the spatter, very juicy!
