At first when I heard the music, admittedly I thought it was a bit repetitive and I was waiting for it to pick up. Then I got into the actual game, and kinda like Endmark said, the song and visuals make this quite a beautiful scene to see. However, I then noticed the lack of limit on the minions. Immediately my brain went "I must attempt to break this thing of beauty".  So after my initial playthrough of getting to 143 before I kinda stopped trying as I was trying to stop the lag so I could see what was happening, I went to my auto clicker and let loose. Only got a 179, so absolutely no benefits were had. I probably coulda got that on my own if I tried. The song never slowed though. I'm impressed. This was a really enjoyable experience, thank you for making it

Thanks! the minion spam is a problem that a lot of people have been complaining about and I'm trying to fix it in a post jam version. btw impressive scores!

I thought this game was eerily beautiful. I wasn't expecting too much in the visual department because of the simple thumbnail and some of the diversifiers you used, but once I started summoning my little army to do battle, the screen was gorgeous! Reminded me of the old iTunes screensavers in a way.

With just  few pixels, you made me feel powerful. I thought of myself as Olimar calling little lightning bug Pikmin to come help me.

As others notes, there wasn't really a penalty for calling as many helpers as I wanted, so there fewer moment to moment decisions to make as a player. But overall, I had a fun short time with this entry.

Great work. And I like the simple guitar loop a lot. Awesome solo dev entry.

I survived to 113. That any good?

Developer

Thanks =J 113 is very good!

The problem you run into with text is no one reads at the same pace, I see some comments say it was too fast but, I actually wanted to to scroll faster.  It's a minor thing, game jams right?  Can't please everyone.  Also read enough comments to realize that spamming click breaks the game so, I tried to play it the way you intended and limit my clicks (it's pretty challenging that way and I was constantly running for my life).  Cool game, great job!

Developer

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure what I was doing in this game. Other than just spamming the left mouse button to summon more of those butterfly looking things I am not sure what was dictating how many of those I could have and the penalty for having to many, if any. :)

Developer (1 edit)

Sadly I didn't think of spamming when making the game so the game is broken):
thanks for your feedback!

Go my minions ! Hahaha
I liked the very low rez style of the graphics. I'm not sure how there's a strategy invovled, I mashed left mouse button until the screen was swarmed.

Cool entry.

Developer

Thanks=D when playtesting the game I forgot that I'm not that good at spamming so.... yeah

I Can't Keep Up With The Text At The Start.  So I Don't Really Understand The Game. Can't Really Say Much And Probably Woun't Even Rate (Because I Would Probably Get It Wrong). Hope You Keep Making Games And Keep Havin Fun!

Developer

Thanks! Sorry the start text was so fast): if you want you can read the description at your own pace

It was fun but I had some trouble understanding the gameplay. Still very nice entry, and arcade like graphics.

Simple shapes, but lighting gave so much life! The way that soldiers work is so fun, feels satisfying to kill the enemies!

Developer

Thanks ^u^

I felt like I was making nuclear fusion at an atomic level or something, haha! Interesting and unique. Good job on the guitar, though I'm not sure if it matches the game so much.

Thanks :3

It's amazing how irregular shapes can already be so distinct in this game! Even though we were mostly just working with squares, it was easy to distinguish a square from another, or the opponents from your companions. Very unique and enjoyable game. Big ups to you

Thanks C!

That's a lot of diversifiers for one game ! ^^

The idea is fun, but you can basically make the game kinda go forever by just spam -clicking (no need to move at all). Maybe add some kind of limitation for the nimber of spawns allowed at a time so that you really have to manage where you spawn them.

Still, good job ! So many limitations must have been a fun challenge to take on :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback :D I didn't try to get all those limitations, but when I submitted I saw it fits lol

Fun game! I liked it!

Nice guitar tune you have there ! I really liked the atmosphere !

I feel though that the wall of text containing the controlls could've been reduced to a single image and that there could've been a "penalty" for button mashing for summoning soldiers

But still, cheers on your entry !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Fun game! The visual presentation is great. I loved the way the soldiers follow you and how they surround the enemies. The music was very pleasing.

Developer

Thanks ^^
