Cute game and fun interpretation of the focus/ theme!  I love chill puzzle games and the music is a good tune that you don't mind listening to on repeat.
Edit: SUPER fun after I figured out the reset puzzle button!  :)

My suggestions and issues I had:
-Make the "human" a different color than the stones.  I didn't realize he wasn't a block until after a few tries, so making him maybe "flesh" colored or giving him an idle breathing animation would show people he is the other character.

Developer

There is a reset button which is r actually, and thanks! Can’t wait to try your game!

OH so sorry!!  My bad!! I didn't see that - so that's totally on me :)

Developer(+1)

If you want you could play it a bit more now that you know. You don’t have to, just saying.

Submitted

I totally will!

Developer

Thanks!

Fun puzzle game!

The movement is very slippery, I was stuck on level 6 for a while and got so annoyed. The fact that I can't pull a box out from a corner is infuriating haha

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Can’t wait to try your game as well!

Submitted

Cool concept and mechanic! One problem I had though was that the movement was really slippery and made the character hard to control, leading to some otherwise great levels feeling frustrating to complete. Otherwise, really good concept that could definitely be expanded on!

Developer

Thanks dude! Definitely going to expand on this idea for my first commercial game! Not sure when I’ll start on it though. Can’t wait to try your game as well!

Submitted

It's a neat concept! One small problem though was that some blocks kept getting stuck in corners and could not be pushed. Also when I stop pressing a key the character continues to move for a bit. Otherwise, good work on this.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks!l for playing! Definitely trying yours as well!

Submitted

I liked your game! The level progression is smooth, great steep!

The concept is really interesting and fun, and could be expanded a lot with some tweaks in the player's movement (feels too slippery and low responsive sometimes), with better graphics and more worked music!

Overall good job! Keep it up!

I'd love you try out my game and tell in what I can improve as well so I can get better :D!

Developer

Thanks so much! And I will check out your game as well!

Nice little game :). In level 6 I had a problem getting the second block to the right, because it got stuck where I couldn't get where I needed to go to push it to the right. If you made the blocks just a tiny bit bigger than the rest of the tiling, that could be solved easily.

Developer

Making the blocks bigger would cause problems with the rest of the game unfortunately, so for now, that’s just part of the game. But thanks for playing!

Very nice puzzle game! They were not to hard neither easy, except level 10, didn't know if that level was beatable. As for the player movement, I don't think this was grid movement, but it felt really weird and made it hard to jump on point.

Overall, Great game, it was a really fun puzzle game and wish to see more! Congrats on your entry.

Developer

Thanks! Will definitely try your game as well!

Submitted

Simple and fun game.I love these types of puzzle games. You have to plan ahead so the human can get to the door :)I see other people pointed out that the movement feels slippery.Other than that loved it :)

Developer

Thanks! Will check out your submission as well!

Some nice puzzle concepts! I really enjoyed the moment when i realised how to finish the puzzle. However, as a puzzle game, the controls was kind of fuzzy. This might cause puzzle game lovers to not like the game, since it requires skill too. Was the input delay intended or a glitch? It would be perfect if the lag was removed. Anyways, i really like the concept! Good work!

Developer

I just figured out how to fix the slide. Oof. But my first commercial game will be a MUCH better version of this. This is gonna be the concept for that game. So yay! Not sure when I'm gonna start work on my commercial game but it's gonna be this concept. Will definately check out your game as well!

Submitted

I actually really like the concept of this game! I think that if you were to put some more time into the concept outside of the jam, it would look really great-- especially since the puzzles are actually pretty good! However, one thing I want to comment on is that the colors seem a tad too saturated for me. Other than that, good luck with your other games! If you have the time, I hope you can also play my game!

Developer

Thanks! Don’t worry I’m playing everyone’s games who comment on mine. Actually whenever I make my first commercial game, it will be a remake of this but improved a lot. Thanks!

Submitted

Thanks! Good luck on your game in the future!

Developer

Thanks!

What a fun experience (though frustrating at times haha). Nice way to bring in the theme with puzzle elements and a sense of skill. Great job on this one!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for the feedback! I’m playing everyone’s games who comment on mine so don’t worry about that. Thanks dude!

Great game! I really liked the there and back thing you did there!

The only thing that you need to add is a "restart level" button because I got stuck few times and the only thing I could to is restart the page and the game. ☺

Developer

actually there is a restart button (which is r)

Submitted

Haha, ok, then maybe say it in the begining (or did I miss it?), anyway I find it better to have a buttom (easyer for the player).

Developer(+2)

it’s in the how to play screen

Submitted(+1)

Loved the concept.
Loved the level design.
Loved the characters, who felt really alive because of the animation applied to them.

I HATE the slide when you fall with any amount of horizontal momentum.
That slide is frustrating and unfun.

Developer

yea it was only after the jam ended that I figured out how to fix the slide -_-

Submitted

Well if you're going to keep the game on your page, I'd fix that.(After the voting period is over)

And it would be a much better game :)

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

I’m gonna keep it up just to show how I learned this since it’s a big learning experience for me and this is my first jam game I wanna keep my jam games how they were at deadline

Submitted (1 edit)

I totally get that.

I might make a separate account for that, or keep them restricted with a password so people can play them if they're interested.

But I'm definitely going to polish my submission up in to a release that people wouldn't know was from a game jam. ;)

Developer

Ok

A little fun game, really liked it! The only problem is the sliding. Saw you saying you use getaxis, but that doesnt go from 0 to 1 imediately. It rises and decreases a little, thats what problably is causing the sliding, if you use GetAxisRaw, that jumps form 0 to 1 or from 0 to -1 instantly, that should fix the problem.

Developer

Ok thanks a lot!

Submitted

really good submission! struggled controlling the character the way I wanted, but that didn't stop me from enjoying myself! I hope you do well!

Would be great if you got the chance to check out my submission :)

Developer

Thanks! And if your submission in played in browser I’ll play on stream!

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea! The sliding was a problem though. The game was good, and I liked the music!

Developer

Thanks so much dude!

Submitted(+1)

I Loved the idea! The level design and colors go together really well. Only complaint is the slidey controls make some of the puzzles harder to do then they should be! Great job!

Developer

Thanks! Just curious, were you able to beat level 10? And as for the sliding, idk how to fix that. I will definitely check out your game if it’s played in browser!

Submitted(+1)

The game idea is nice, but I feel like the mining mechanic wasn't used enough. The controls were also weirdly unresponsive, when I stopped pressing right, it kept goind right for a little while, and it lead to some frustration.

But overall, the game's great! The art is simple but good, and you made a reasonable amount of levels, I only had time for 3 in mine (if you want to check them out, it'd mean a lot). The touch of level 10 being much bigger than the others really gives it a nice touch.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! Just curious, were you able to beat level 10? Also about the sliding, I had no idea how to fix that. I will definitely check out your game on stream if it’s played in browser

Submitted

I didn't, I got a bit frustrated, but a big part of it was the sliding, and maybe if I knew how you did the movement I could tell why it happens, but I don't know much, I've never had such an issue tbh.

Also, thanks in advance!

Developer

I use Input.GetAxis also I had an else statement setting velocity to 0 so idk how to fix it

Submitted

Is it on FixedUpdate? Maybe try moving it to Update. But I also have it on FixedUpdate, so I've no idea.

If the velocity is set to 0 on an else statement, what's the if statement? Like, if(input > 0){ make it move }or something? If that's the case, if input is 0.1 it'd still move at full speed, that also might be it.

Developer

I think its the GetAxisRaw thing. But thanks!
