Cute yet challenging game! I included it in my LOWREZJAM compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I really liked the characters and the gameplay, I wanted a lot more stages \ o /

Submitted

As someone who once took 2 years to add actual stage content to a jam game that was otherwise feature complete, I relate a lot to working on systems instead of levels. :P

I liked that there were multiple paths to the end. I also like the tiny automatic bounce when you defeat an enemy with the dash and the patterned screen transitions.

Took me awhile to figure out you can aim up to jump higher. So freaking cute and the end credits were the best part. Excellent!

That's too short !!!!
You have a great base, your gameplay is cool and the dash work realy well as an offensive feature.
You must make it longer with some new mechanics, and enemies that react differently around the dash, and you would have a good little game to share.
I'm not a big fan of the music, it play hard with my ears.

Nice little game (so much so, I was sad it was over so soon).
Nice level design at the start to help you learn the controls + combos.
The graphics are really good + cute.
The music was pretty good also.
Congrats and good luck with the jam! 😉👍

Great looking graphics.

Kind of short, but the gameplay has potential.

It was not a rabbit in the initial idea? xD

Very beautiful art, and smooth gameplay. Even the file size is tiny :)!
What did you use to program it?

Developer

This was made pretty much from scratch in C with the Windows API on Windows, and SDL2 on Linux. It uses a rendering and audio system inspired by NES/SNES hardware and all assets use simple, but still small, custom binary formats.

Short, but very well polished. :-)

Lovely little game, if a little short!

Great game, reminds me a lot of the sonic games.  Too short though, I wanted more levels!!!

Submitted

nice graphics ^^

The art is clean and the game play is solid.  It took me a while to figure out how to dash upward though haha.  I really like the transition into the game with the black squares, looks very nice.  Overall a cute and fun game!

This game looks cute and is fun to play :)

Maybe some more graphical sugar would be nice. And the music got annyoing to me very fast... :P

Cool little platformer, the only thing I’m not a fan of jumping on Z and did not immediately understand that you can press the up arrow and 2 times Z

Submitted

Really nice platformer. I like the feeling of the dash attack. Well done! Would be cool to see more levels and enemies.

Very cute, and a nice amount of polish for a jam game! As littlecoffeetables already mentioned, a readme or just a little blurb about the controls on the game itch.io page would have helped--I didn't even know there was a dash for several minutes while staring at that second ledge and pressing every key on my keyboard. But once I got past that I enjoyed working my way through the rest of the game.

Very nice game, i love the ending. Minemalist style art very cool work.

Figuring out the controls, particularly the fact that I could control the direction of the dash, took me several frustrating minutes of trying to hopelessly get over that 2nd ledge; a readme could've helped. Cute game though. The enemies are way easier to avoid than to kill, but maybe that's intentional.
