Thanks for the game.  It was clear what I had to do.  Everything worked together and the fun twist at the end was great for the wild card.

Reading other comments I must have missed something, because I couldn't figure out how to solve the missing number.  So I always got stuck on level 7 with the first missing number (except the one time i got lucky).  Based on what I could play i was hoping for something more challenging then filling in the numbers.

Interesting concept, nice idea!

Ok, i feel like an idiot because everyone seems to know what to do with the missing number and i wont. On the other hand, i can imagine what's next due to the comments and i can say this is the best polished entry i have played so far. Congratulations.

Developer

Thank you, nice to read comments like this, as it was my first jam\game.
A little tip: numbers 8 and 9 are there just to confuse the player ;) .

You think you're about to explode and then you get screwed! 😁 Maybe you could make the numbers enterable via the number pad?

Developer

We thought about enabling the keypad (actually the first builds had it working), but it was too easy to play.
Dexor (the programmer) wisely decided to make it mouse only :) .

You could mix up some of the numbers. 😁 But yes, that's true. That would make it much easier.

that was fun , i  liked the missing number it gut me think for bit

A bit confusing (I probably would have given up after the missing numbers if you hadn't explained), but cool once I got the hang of it. It looks like you have a red/green colorblind issue though :(

Very clever :D You got me, and then everything started shifting, what a ride :)

Glad you liked it!

Well that was a twist!

Definitely not what I expected going in and a surprising twist, that I think has more underneath it.  I'm not quite sure.  Anyway the overall loop was interesting and the switching keys definitely added a bit of urgency to what you're doing.  Though I do have to say sometimes it was a bit hard to know  which key was which when they just suddenly changed, I very much preferred when it flashed in and out while changing which helped indicate that I needed to check the keys again.

An interesting concept to say the least though, definitely a nice time to just see what was behind the curtain and get pleasantly surprised.

Nice to see people liking the little twist, we weren't sure on how players would react hahah. Thanks for the comment!

Honestly, super fun game. I was wondering early on why I couldn't use my number pad to enter the digits, but that became clear once they started shuffling around and disappearing, lol!
I do wish there was a backspace button, misclicking a number really sucks. But overall this game is really fun!

Developer

I'm happy you liked it, thanks!

Once I understood how to play this wound up being very fun!  One of my favorite entries so far!

Developer

Thanks!

The click sound of the number keys was really satisfying. It took me awhile to figure out how to get through the levels but then I got to level 20 before I died. It was a bit frustrating for the numbers to move right when I clicked the one I needed. This caused me to lose several lives. I would love if there had been an indication for when the numbers were going to move.

Developer

thanks for the feedback!

Yup, we should have added some audio or visual feedback for when the keys switch, but it's alright I guess :D .

By the way, the click sound was recorded with by myself (like all the other sounds) lol. What you hear is my mechanical keyboard, haha. Glad to hear you liked it.

Cleverly pieced together! When I lost the first time, I wondered if the prank was an unfinished game haha. Really, the all the pieces work well together. Quirky in all the best ways.

Developer

yeah :D

Many thanks!

Great concept! All the abrupt changes really added atmosphere and made it surprisingly tense. There were a couple of moments where it was unclear whether missing text and blinking controls was a bug or a feature, though. The music was simultaneously catchy and strange.
