Really cool, i've seen games using this mechanic before but the idea of reaching for the golden fruid was brilliand, added a whole new aspect to it ^^

A fun little game, was quite difficult at the tallest neck. :P

Well done. It’s interesting how the difficulty gets exponentially harder as you grow. It would be nice to have the game capture the pointer, I kept losing focus by quickly sliding my pointer out of the window.

I feel this might be the best integration of the growth theme I've seen so far! The simple mechanics are a good plus and I love how the difficulty naturally emerges from growing taller. The art is really cute, although it feels a little static. Overall, good job!

Cool game! It becomes more difficult while the giraffe is growing. Good job!

It's very fun!

I like the dificult progression when the giraffe grows. you explore the theme very well.

Congrats for a great job!

Simple game mechanic, but it's made really well. It's enough to make the difficulty curve exciting. Good job.

Hahaha, cute fun game, my little niece sure could play this for hours. Music, sounds and art is cute, and difficulty is up to the task. A really solid entry. Great job!

simple fun game , i like how when you grow it make it  more difficult to dodge the rocks and collect  the fruit

Fun game! Mechanics are simple but satisfying. The only thing I wish is that there was some feedback after winning.

Simple and fun! It gets pretty tricky at the end!

Simple, fun and cute. Nice work!

So stinking cute! Really fun game with super clean and adorable graphics and a bop of a song! I agree with the other comments that those last few milestones really make you work for that golden apple! Very satisfying once you reach the end. Thanks for the game! Great project

Fun game with nice music and graphics. The last couple of growth milestones are pretty tough to do since there’s so little time react.

This was a fun game and awesome use of the theme.  Also I like how it the stones and fruits start to fall more erratically as you grow your neck. Very well balanced.

For a simple once scene game, I really like how balanced the game is. Gettings those last two extensions are tough. Good work!

Developer

thanks! I kind of wanted to keep it super simple, and just expand on one mechanic to try to make it fun, but it's really hard to balance difficulty

Submitted

Yeah, my game has only 3 enemies and 3 methods of defense, and they got the bare minimum when it came to balancing. I wanted to do more with it, but I knew I wouldn't have time to get it right and I was focused on making sure I did exports correctly.

Developer(+1)

for exports I've been using the same pipeline for a while, on gitlab, it's super handy! I've written a little bit about it actually, if you're interested: https://tducasse.itch.io/tally-the-giraffe/devlog/258558/publishing-games-to-itchio-from-gitlab

Brilliant interpretation of the theme!

I really liked the mechanics!

Very intuitive game design, very easy to pick up and very natural progression in difficulty due to the interaction of mechanics. Well designed
