Fun game! love the audio! I included it in my GoGodot Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
This was an extremely well polished game. I absolutely love the music and how the game synced up with the beat. Also enjoyed how the second level was a switch up from the first level in theme. Great entry!
Really love the art and the songs are very fun and happy. Creative lyrics and great voices :) Thanks for giving an option to download the OST!
Clearly a lot of care has been put into the game, from the cool menus (you even have sliders, a story and difficulty levels!), to the well thought-out effects and art style. Placing obstacles in the level is a really cool way to keep you on your toes (do snakes even have toes, though? :P). But even if you lose it's not a big deal, because you can listen to the songs again! And of course, the game is fun!
The nightmare level was unexpected and awesome! The light and dark mechanic really adds a lot to the gameplay and all the subtle effects (like screen flashing red when collecting an item) are really well implemented. Not knowing what is around the corner really sell the idea of a nightmare.
Great job!
such polish. I loved the music!
Music and SFX with this art style is amazing - I like how Slithersworth is pulling out tongue out, when close to beans - really nice touch :)
Very funny and replay-able game :D
Really good, loved the music and the art style, the game has some creative thing going on, the dark level is awesome and the fact the you guys managed to make more than one mode for a jam game is amazing ^^
Really nice graphics! And nice gameplay with snake nostalgia!
uhh.. beans... no I don't want to eat beans..... no please........ AHHHHH *wakes up* Pfieuuw It was only a nightmare
Nah just kidding, I like beans.
Furthermore, that songs must have been a lot of fun to make!
A great take on a classic! One of the most polished 2D entries I've seen so far.
I was surprised that they even made music during jam. The game is fun, the graphics and music match, and it's Excellent work!
i immediately ate my peas after playing this :)
Love this game, such a nice experience
I'm impressed, your game is great!
I love this game so much! The settings all especially the music is so nice! May I if the obstacles are generated on random position, or by some algorithm, because I realized no matter how much the obstacles generated, it will never give the player a dead end route. It is an amazing game!
This was pretty magical. I'd say that the elements of having damage reduce your size mixed with snake gameplay almost work against each other, but it's a beautiful game and I had fun.
Very nice game! This is the most "this feels like a completed game rather than a jam game" I've found so far.
Clearly the custom music is a very strong point of the game, since it's awesome, fits the game, it's funny, and has great quality. But the overall game has so much polish and 'juice' as well (altogether, but also every single piece seems nicely animated), and even with nice cutscenes, it's a joy to play.
I certainly a lot the details of being able to adjust the volume during the cutscenes, as well as changing the speed of the game from the pause menu, without having to exit to the main menu (this was really nice surprise).
All this shows so much attention for the detail, that you rarely find in Jams. Well done!
Man this is amazing! the original music, the voice acting , the story, the simple yet challenging gameplay all fantastic! you clearly put 100 percent effort in all fields great job!
You made snake! Very good riff on the idea though! I played on the middle difficulty through both levels and noticed that at no time did I get "boxed in" by newly appearing hazards - I'm assuming this was intentional - and if so - well done! I'd like to hear about how that was implemented. Music, although truly awful and irritating ;) was perfect for the game!! And so much effort put into it! Looks like you had a team of 4 - a great achievement even for that small team in a short amount of time. Well done!
I am sorry you didn't like the music :(
The logic for not boxing in the player was to check to make sure there were no more than 2 neighbors, and if there would be more than 2 it chose somewhere else to spawn. Also it was just a team of 3! I did the art and programming, DanzMacabre the music, and Jillian did the vocals.
Holy sh*t, voice acting and original soundtrack with lyrics, you went all the way in! The spin on snake a la rythm game was interesting as well. It was fun and surprising, which is what I like the most about indie games. Good job!
Ahh thank you so much, Helianthe! We really tried hard to bring these characters to life in the small time we had someone playing our game so it makes me so happy that it translated well in the game! Thanks for taking the time to play and for your feedback! You rock!! (:
Man, this game is amazing! The musics are fascinatives. I like the creativness behind the story. So cool that it has two variations. Great game feel! Nice work!
Thanks so much! We appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to play the game! May Sir Slithersworth eat all your peas for you! :P
