This was an interesting entry. I didn't really understand despite the epic story behind it, but I had fun shooting at the rockets for about 5-10 minutes until I realized I was suppose to jump into the portal. I'm still trying to figure out how this game makes me feel, but it's definitely a good feeling.
Great game! Creative way to incorporate the them of the game! I read below about the comments on that happy accident of shooting the same rocket multiple times and that was after my first play through of the game and after reading that my world was changed and I played a few more times and the game really opened itself up! Had a lot of fun playing each time I did play and it was fun to go on that journey and uncover the game in that way! The controls felt good and smooth and there was really a sense of urgency because those rockets won't stop for no one! Really good game! Great Job! (:
Hey, thank you very much for the kind words! I'm happy that you enjoyed the game :) And yes, those damn rockets can only do one thing, and that is to just go left, stopping for no one! If there will ever be a sequel they might learn a new trick or two.
That is the dream, to make a short-ish game that is fun to play and, more importantly, to replay. Thanks for playing!
Good Job. I thought I'd have to avoid the oncoming rockets? but the Player is immortal and only needs to get to the portal in the higher platform.
It looks and plays pretty good!
I'm not sure if this is intended or not though, but if you keep shooting on the same enemy he will never die (as the animation seems to play from the start).
I'd like to say that this behavior was a happy accident because, while not intended, I think it might stop the player from just spamming lots of rockets on one "lane", taking care of all the enemies for a while, and then just repeating this action for all other "lanes". Though I could have implemented this way better and polish it more.
Thank you for the feedback and pointing this out to me. And thanks for playing my game!
Oh no, I should have paused the game or changed the scene when the ending screen appeared. Or generally destroy the crates after a some time passes. And add a better tutorial! Noted.
The massive performance problem might be because the game keeps stacking crates :)) Thank you for playing and for the kind comment!
Graphics and overall look of this game is nice. Reminds me old Arcade games :D
Thank you for the kind words and feedback! I agree, the shooting mechanics need more work. Even though I knew from the start that the player will be able to shoot, I somehow left that important bit until the end and couldn't fine tune it in time. Will be more careful in the future and work more on the shooting mechanics. Thanks again!
