Which game? Probably Antichamber was the biggest influence on this one's mechanics in particular. My "main" game blends this mechanic with word puzzles and those "epiphany" moments from The Witness, but I wanted to do something a little lighter here. Seems like nobody has finished yet though so maybe I overshot the difficulty. I can confirm there's an exit from the right turn room!

Regardless, thanks for your feedback!

It's true. I have played around with that mechanic a lot. Theoretically any pattern with 4 way symmetry would work, but I think the actual issue has more to do with lighting than material, and that may be more of a challenge.

Although now that I think about it, maybe not. I actually just need to figure out how far the light travels...

Thanks for your feedback!

This is probably the most innovative entry I've seen so far. I really love puzzle boxes so this spoke to me. Nice reward too, I can't believe you gave away all those first edition Charizard cards to your players, very classy! ;)

A great take on a classic! One of the most polished 2D entries I've seen so far.

Well we'll get 'em next time, right? I like your idea of a persistent setting/character set across your jam entries, by the way. It makes explicit what most people intrinsically gravitate to anyway. I look forward to the fool's next misadventure!

Thanks, that's definitely a fair criticism. I'm a big fan of open exploration games but the time crunch here, plus the two under two kids I'm parenting at the moment, made this essentially linear, and thus that much less frustration tolerant. I'm not sure whether I'll do another jam, but I really have appreciated the sense of camaraderie with all the other developers. This is the most wholesome the internet has been for me in a long time.

Enjoyed Jansson too, by the way! I'd say you guys are pretty easily among the top 3 in the 3D category.

Good point! Probably should have flipped it so the sign was viewable from the green room. Next time!

Thanks for your feedback!

I tried this one in the browser and decided I had to download it!

Press enter to start, it's a keyboard game.

Best game I've played that only uses one key.

I tried export to Mac, not sure if it'll work or not since I don't have access to a Mac, maybe you could let me know? I uploaded the Pack file too in case it needs it, didn't see the same option to include it with the executable.

From everything I've seen, HTML5 is a bit of a no go for Godot 3D so far.

It was beautiful and innovative, but a little past my threshold for frustrating. I think maybe the decay factor on the sling speed probably needs to get turned down a little for those of us without twitchy reflexes, or maybe could be set in an options menu or something?

Regardless, the work you did on this speaks for itself. Great stuff.

Solid game, solid graphics, nice job.
I thought I was done and then it was like "LEVEL 2!"
I couldn't finish because I'm terrible at jumping games, at least on mouse/keyboards, but the puzzle aspect was a very welcome addition.

Definitely felt like a game I'd encounter on AG or Kong or something like that. Fix the bugs and publish it!

Nice job! Managed to win on my third run through. Would have been interesting to see more non-combat nodes, or nodes that persisted through runs. I think maybe mana is glitched? I went to check out Budokai too.

Those baddies are so dang fast. Gave me the creeps.

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for future projects.

Attractive game! Jump puzzles aren't really my thing so I didn't finish it but you guys did good work on it.

Thanks for the feedback! How far did you get? I played with panoramas etc. but none of them felt right. Probably needs more ground cover. I'm hoping G4 gives us some nicer options for procedural skies.

Did you try jumping into the void? :D
