Ya the original plan had another twist where the beam would drop in and out, but we ran out of time to implement that. Thank you for playing! We really do appreciate it.

Really nice job!
The different levels felt very different which was nice. It was super satisfying to line up a bunch to hit in one dash. The music and sfx felt right, and the poetry was nice.
Do you get any returning students to help out each year, or has each year been only 1 grade level?
Also I would love to know how you have them work on this at once. Are you using a source control, or is it just one computer that all the work gets moved to?
Your best game yet! I won and it was a nice challenge the whole way through.
I really like your take on the theme. It was a great idea idea to lose troops to make the remaining better, especially how that synergized with the card aspect of concentrating your good cards to come up more often.
The background I found very cute. I loved how each troop had a personality and race and little animations, I think that made a big impact.
Overall really well done. I am glad you did the jam again this year.
Very cool game. It was a lot of fun trying to keep up with the changes. I think I liked it best when I could still remove the people instead of stunning them. Also I wonder what it would have been like if it took X amount of dash to remove a counter instead of just all of it. It was fun to think of how to improve how quickly I could get around and make the layout my own.
This was very impressive considering you had to pivot in the middle of the jam. We did the same thing on friday with our game. It sucks, but you really made the most of it and turned out a fun game. Great Job!
Great game! The chef was a nice difficulty. Having some of the bullets move fast enough to hit you even while eating was a nice decision. I would love to see an update with more ideas based on this explored also. Like what if shooting drains your power also, so you always have to be eating, rather than eat until full then shoot. Wonderful job!
Really cool puzzles, and an original idea. Having to get them in at the same time was tricky. I never did figure out why sometimes they would have the same speed and sometimes some would be faster, but it was an interesting challenge. My only criticism is I wish there was a way to move slower if needed. Getting around the tight corners and making sure to not touch the pit was difficult mostly because I could not click for a short enough time, not because it was part of the puzzle I feel like. Still it was fun, and I appreciated the reverse control ones mixing it up. Great job!
That cat was very cute. I am so glad there was a little mew button for the player, and same goes for the ball of string. I appreciated the little cat elements that were just for their inherent fun, rather than being part of the overall goal. It was very clever coming up with all the different ways to die to progress, great job with that! The only death I did not understand was the ticket collecting one. Also nice music and instructions and everything. Felt great to play!
I managed to complete one potion, but every time I got one in the shape of Jesus Cross, I was not able to complete it. Its a fun design, with the idea that you can get hints by making potions. There are some very deep strategies of how to use them most effectively, which is a cool idea. I would love to play this again if you update it more after the jam!
Those are all really great points. I would have loved to let players organize, it is something I am looking to add after the jam ends, since I just didnt have time. Same thing with the non-interactive ingredients, it is on my too do list after.
Thank you for the comments and critique! Those little things like knowing if the language is fun yet understandable enough are something we really just need playtesting to know, so thanks!
Unlike the other commenters I did not have any performance issues. Wow this was beautiful and cozy. You really nailed it. We had very similar game ideas, and yet they turned out so different. I love the game, and the music, and characters, and the tiny little town, and the cute themed drinks. My only complaint is that all but one customer ordered either the grub drink or the pineapple one. I would love to see this world expanded more and hear some stories of who these customers are.
Nice job! I particularly like the music. It made the game more relaxed and cozy feeling given how hectic the gameplay is. I can sympathize with the Godot exporting issues. Getting HTML5 to export normally has quite a few steps to make it work that are just not intuitive or well documented. Nice job making it work anyway!
I loved this! You nailed the theme. And the puzzles were very well done. I loved the size of Maple, and sequoia I loved how outside the box it was. The only one I had to come back to later was Acai, that was the hardest to me for some reason. This was great. Thank you!
Also how did you make it save your progress when you refresh?
Nice job! We also went with a potion making game, so it was cool to see what others did with it. I like the puzzle of figuring out the order to add things, and the UI was well composed. It was beautiful of course also, I liked your choice in ingredients, they felt both original and like they belonged really well. Nice job!
I made a quilting game for a previous game jam, so I knew I immediately had to play your game when I saw it. This game is so good! The tetris like mechanic is a great idea. The squares have such cute patterns, and I love that there are different patterns to chose from. The 3d model of the blanket being put on top was so cute also. You did a great job choosing all your assets and designing a game that was fun to play.
After the jam is over I want you to flesh out a full little story, fix the next-tile weight, and add a few more levels. I will absolutely come back and play a more fleshed out version again, just let me know.
I loved this! I have never played anything like this in a jam before. I loved how the multiplayer aspect really encouraged interacting with each other and getting to see their houses. It was nice and simple to hop into and you didn't need other people to play with you, so it was the perfect kind of multiplayer for this setting. The variety of objects was good, and it felt cozy. Well done!
We made The Brew, and are very proud of it. It is a cozy cafe game where you serve up potion inspired cocktails to witches and werewolfes and the like. I would love to watch you stream it!

That was a blast! I am a little exhausted from it. It was very challenging, and kept me on my toes, but I only failed 1 day. I loved how different each level felt. I also like that they didnt just get harder. It was nice to go from a complex shaped day to like all straight lines and be like 'oh I got this'. It gave me the break I needed to keep going. Also it was beautiful and well designed. Nice job!
Amazing job as always! Your games are always so good and have such well designed puzzles. I would love to see more levels for this. I especially loved that what you do in the past effects your current puzzle. I would love to see that developed into a sort of auto-difficulty where if you get lots of money the puzzles become harder, thus always giving you a nice challenge. My other thought is if you had to fight using the die of the path you just laid, forcing even more creativity in how to lay things down.
Sorry for all the suggestions, the game was just very inspiring and I want more :)
Nice job! I managed to make it in the city! I loved all the different conflicts that got in your way, and it was clever how you had to manage the resources. I did not end up rolling the dice much since I did not get to see the results, but otherwise it was cool to see what fell and was the reward for the choice.
Also you made this in only like half the time by yourself? Amazing job.
This looks amazing, and the song is great. I want you guys to finish it after the jam so so so much. It would be super awesome to see 6 different kinda styles for each instrument so when you see a number you can choose to give it to the bassist because you know the bass #4 is your jam. The art is so cute and I just want more.
I am sending your game to our composer also. We love making games with reactive music, and this is just so inspiring.
Please message me after the jam to let me know when I can play an update!
Stupidly fun! I loved the power creep. I started out being super strategic and always attacking from the one specific side that could hit, and by the end I was a rolling death machine devouring everything that dare get near me. Obviously harder levels and more mechanics would improve things, but that is for after the jam. You did a great job with everything.
PS the song is still stuck in my head. Its a nice bop.
I loved your game! The idea of the bullet hole adding a hole on the die was genius! It was great developing a strategy of when to shoot vs when to not shoot. It took me 4 tries to beat, and I think the difficult was at a really good place. Amazing job.
I found you were another game like ours that was cursed by itch's loading glitch, and I am trying to play all of them to help each other out. Good luck!
