The music was great, but it seemed a little hard to play. Sometimes my strumming was ignored entirely. Solid entry overall, nice work!

Loved the concept, but was a little hard to play - splitting attention between getting the notes on beat and keeping track of where the evil notes are is pretty difficult! I also think it would be good if there was some additional feedback on how on beat the player was on the stave too.

Nicely implemented rhythm game. The black circle that covers the notes doesn't add anything (other than frustration), in my opinion.

This game was pretty awesome! It took me a moment to realize you had to the shoot the depressed notes coming at you lol. I tunnel visioned on the bar at the top to time my notes right. After figuring it out though, I really enjoyed it! This is super unique rhythm game, great job!

A very unique and good take with the theme, the song also fits the scene really well.

A well executed and fairly done game to be rated

Unique take and well executed. Well done!

Didn't see any other game like this in the game jam. Certainly unique for such a theme. The audio was good; the game has a lot of potential.

Kind of sad, but perfect for the theme. Feels like he's playing alone with no crowd watching.

Manage to make 99 perfect score

Would be nice if the music was on guitar instead of piano, to match with the character.

Nice work!

Oh that a nice score!
Yeah, I think of changing the music  if I made a future update

A nice imagining of the theme and really well executed. Took a while to realise how to play, a few more lines in the description explaining the game would have helped. Other than that, well done!

Very cool. I loved how creative this was, and it was a fun challenge. It was cool how the different songs had very different attack patterns, which made the fights feel very different. Great job!

This game is very interesting; I really liked the concept. As I was shooting the negative thoughts, I wasn't able to read what they were saying because I was concentrating on hitting the note, not sure if that was programmed on purpose, but it hits deep, focus on your 🎵 not on what others are saying! I Liked you game.

Lol I knew it was hard to read the dialogs but I just said whatever, its not important anyway.

I like how you interpreted it very much XD

Thank you for your feedback

Very unique take on the theme.

The gameplay idea of mixing rhythm games and shoot them up is very clever, and I would love to see this idea expanded further! Adding special types of enemies to kill with specific patterns of music could be fun! The drawing are also really great, and the story is a nice addition to fit the theme.

For the improvement, I would add a tutorial, as I didn't know at first that the ghosts could kill me.

And I have one question: why a piano piece for a guitarist? :o

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for your feedback, adding special enemies seems fun

And yeah, I really need to make a tutorial for the game

As for the last question... that because the audio composer in my team disappeared and I couldn't find a replacement, and I need somewhat special songs (having very clear and simple beat to fit the game) so I had to get whatever I found fitting these conditions from the internet on the last day (the music really needs to be changed XD)

Really like the musical take for the theme! Took me a few seconds to understand I had to defend myself from the negative notes, but being a fan of guitar hero I loved it!

One of the most unique takes on the theme that I've seen by far. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how the game worked, but after that it was really fun!

Very unique game. I love the idea behind it but I wish there was more feedback if I click too early or too late

Cool idea! I wish that there was some more feedback and a little more variety in the songs but it was super great.

Funny idea to shoot away all your fears and doubts with musical notes. The music was good and gave it a tragic feel. Could be an idea to add sounds to the notes you fire that then affect the music.

Developer(+1)

That's a good idea but its somewhat hard to implement since enemies are in varying distances
thank you for yours feedback

true, unless the sounds were sustained tones in tune with the main track that fade in and out. Just thinking aloud :-)

i took me awhile to realize that the main goal was not to hit the notes on time it was to push away the notes but the game was fun after that.

Great game with cool musics
I needed a lot of time to realise what to do lol, maybe a tutorial level would be nice too

Developer (1 edit)

lol yeah it seems like a tutorial was needed

I had a fun time playing it, I like the piano notes, good job!
