A cool idea! Pushes the player to think like a level designer. Can use some more "gamification" though :)

PS: I will be tweeting about this game, and some other games I will play from the jam: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1284852745510563840

Really fun, takes me back to when played flash games on the computers  in the IT lab at school. Really like the sound and music design.  Super fun.

Nice visuals and sounds! The idea is not so original, but i think this is most well performed on this jam. Really fun to play!

Awesome game! I had lots of fun playing, and it was satiisfying watching my little frog dude play out the level.

As others have mentioned, it would have made quite a difference to the user experience to be able to move the icons instead of deleting and placing a new one. One other thing that would have been nice (in my opinion) would be able to navigate the map with the mouse (middle mouse button maybe?), because then you don't need the keyboard at all.

Anyway, awesome job!

Really great game man. I could definitely see myself playing this for hours. I'm sure other people have mentioned it, but it would be cool if you could move icons around without deleting them, as well as maybe adding hotkey to place the icons. A lot of little things (that I'm sure you've already thought of) that you could add to this to make it into a great game.

That's a great example of indirect controls! And a lot of efforts put in levels too.

Developer

Thank you for acknowledging that! Means a lot :D

This is a very cool mechanic and really well executed! Maybe include a mode where i can pause the simulation and edit the triggers? i loved it a lot though. Great job!

We are glad you like it and thanks for the feedback & suggestion, really appreciate it :)

Your intro is epic, feels oldschool. I couldn't play the game due to scaling issues. On my 3440x1440 resolution some parts of the top and bottom are cut off. I am at 150% scaling, but i don't think that matters. Switching to windowed does not change it. Just as a feedback, i didn't rate it :D

Developer

First of all thanks for the feedback! And yeah, it was the first time for most of the team using unity & we did not find the option to re-size it. Really appreciate it!

Solid take on the theme, had some issues due to springs not working too well when close to walls & some attempts producing different results despite changing nothing on the board but those were workable around. Congrats on the submission!

edit: oh also I wish we could place multiple elements a little more easily!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we are taking notes!

Really fun game, a bit confusing at first but great when I got the hang of it!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, we wanted to implement a more traditional tutorial but we ran out of time; anyways glad you like it :)

I have to say this is an extremely enjoyable and satisfying experience. Once you get the hang of it, you are quickly able to tell where everything should go and just spend most of the time almost "debugging" it, and I loved having the entire first sections of the map completed and watching him perform a perfect run each time until the next part to adjust.

It works perfectly well and while the UI isn't pretty, it does the job and the only issue I had was the ghosts not showing up in the edit mode.

Incredibly well done, great job!

This was a great idea! Had a lot of fun playing it, loved the graphics and animation, also it seemed a very polished game. Overall great experience, good job boys!

Great game, cool concept, had some fun playing it. Small bug or change I would like to point out is that sometimes when the frog collects the jump buttin while mere pixels above the floor the jump doesn't register. This has happened to me multiple times since I like to optimize my layouts. Would be cool if the score system was measured in player preformance in comparison to others (think Opus Magnum), counting least objects placed or shortest time until finishline. That would add a new layer of player controlled diff that would be welcome in this style of games.

Thank you for the feedback! And yes, a score system was considered but we ran out of time :(; maybe it gets implemented in the future.

Had a lot of fun with game! Enjoyed a lot the puzzles, and it's really polished.  Awesome job!

There's a bug (or a feature idk), where the big squared enemies that smash you didn't always start at the same time, so maybe in a run I dodged them but died further, then tried again with the same path and that same enemy that I had dodged before, killed me. (this doesn't affect my rating)

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoy it! And yes, we are aware that there is certain desync between tries, we will try to fix that once the rating period ends!

Nice game! Always enjoy a decent puzzle-platformer. There is probably a lot of room for expansion with this concept by adding other things to place down like an attack move that can remove enemies or certain tiles. Great job!

Developer

Thank you! We appreciate the feedback!

I really like these programming-like puzzle games. Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Neat game. I would have liked to see the ennemies before the level starts and also to see more clearly where to "crouch"/"roll", though. :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! : )

Alright, it has to be the 1rst prize, as far as I played! Good job guys!

Developer

Thank you so much!! Glad you like it!
