Fun game with really great art and a pretty decent amount of content. Grabbing coins felt really good. I feel the "out of control" part could've been elevated a bit, as it now feels like a really good runner game more than an entry to a game jam.
Damn this slaps, what a great twist on the runner genre, and definitely fits the theme. Honestly worth developing this concept further in some way. Great job.
Got past 34000! What usually screws me over is when the shaft goes up :D
Really fun game, however, and the art is great, though I don't know much about the two characters, which is a shame. They seemed fun, for the few seconds I saw of em.
The art is simply astonishing and the gameplay is very interesting. It reminded me of Dandara: https://store.steampowered.com/app/612390/Dandara_Trials_of_Fear_Edition/
Good job!
Very nice looking art.
Very nice graphics! For some reason the controls wouldn't work for me properly. Took a long time before I could jump.
I enjoyed playing this, gave me strong Terraria ‘Wall of Flesh’ vibes. however I feel like the gravity changes could be pushed further as I never really felt ‘out of control’. Fantastic artwork though, gorgeous looking throughout.
Nice game jam title. I think adding a rotation mechanic would improve the gameplay a bit. (giving the player the ability to control the rotation)
34k score... really fun and a few times close to being killed... lasers and stuff didn't really kill you just pushed you back, right? Love the visuals ... polish it a bit and release it as a mobile game?
I really like the game, the gravity change learning curve was a bit too much for me though.
I m amazed by the graphics!
Amazing game, the vertical sections were especially fun and the dashing gave the player just enough control over their movements to make the game interesting. It felt really polished and complete. I hope you keep working on it in the future, good job!
This game is really fun and the art is amazing. I'm getting some jetpack joyride vibes too, well done!
This was a lot of fun, getting used to the gravity shifts and finding a new groove was really satisfying, it made me feel like a ninja! I loved when the gravity shifted so your were falling I though that was really cool! I could really see this working well with an awesome driving background music to amp you up! I think the only thing is I wish the gravity shifts happened more regularly there was some sections where it didn't change for a while and I wanted it to change more to throw off my rhythm! Great job!
just YES!
The pixels and artwork are superb, and once you get the movement style down, the game is an absolute blast! I had a lot of fun in my repeated attempts, though I never seemed to be able to get past the level when it moved down to make me fall into the monster (which was always a bit frustrating.) Regardless, I enjoyed the game a ton and would love to see more of it, post jam!
Awesome game! The first gravity change surprised me and elevated the game massively. The visuals are really nice and the controls are great (though took me a few tries to get used to). On my longest run, the tunnel went vertically up and I couldn't get away from the creature any more.
Addictive and fun game play, great job!
Really really great visuals, congrats!
Had a really hard time getting started and learning how to move once the screen's turned, but it was really enjoyable once I learned. With a little work on pacing to allow better learning and some control refinements it'd be even more fun. The sounds are a bit too jarring compared to the rest of the game but it's still an amazing submission!
Full marks for presentation! The pixel art here is top-tier, and what sound design there is is excellent too - I just wish there was more of it! (And some music, for the record.) The player character is a lot of fun to control, but the straight corridor doesn't give you much chance to get the full use out of the walljumping - the screen rotating is a really cool feature, though.
I love it! It was a bit hard to survive when you had to climb tho!
