Like overal movement of character and how it looks also special power "Troll physics" - meme where troll pulls himself with magnet inside car =D.

Interesting mechanic. I love playing around and do random stuff with pulling and pushing and jump. Movement is satisfying. Although i didn't reach to the upper layer of level/map. Maybe I'm stupid that I couldn't figure out the way to do it, Lol. Overall great work.

You can reach the top by pulling down the little block in the top right (after the very very big block part).

There is also an upgrade that lets you hold two charges in the first room.

The top of the map holds another upgrade and an "infinity" thing so you can just play around after without losing any charges :)

Okay Great 😌

This is the best looking character I've seen, and love its pull and push power

Developer

Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on the concept art :)

I like the magnetism power and the fact that you can do both pushing and pulling of things is really great. I can see a lot of interesting things happening with this game mechanic

Awesome! Loved the ability, inputs, and playing around with the boxes/crates!

Favorite part was how lose the ability was which led to some awesome moments like getting the box to fly me up to the ceiling

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback! I plan to make some improvements to the way the ability works but I'll definitely keep the flying  (at least for a bit lol).

Very cool and impressive!

Really clever. Lot of room for complexity in your designs later on, very satisfying to use just 'as it is', so I think that's a solid start.

The ability bugged a little bit to me, but the idea is really good. I love the character art

This is fun, but it felt a little like cheating to just jump on a cube and rise all the way to the top.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback. I agree. Someone mentioned putting a timer on the power so it can be clicked a few times as well. I think I'll do that and solve both those problems!

Mechanism is awesome and like the concept

This was pretty fun to play, the idea of pulling and pushing objects was a good idea, and i really like the character design. It's a bit confusing at first with all the text, but overall nice submission.

Fantastic game. Really cool :D

Glad you got to watch me play, so I won't leave too much feedback, but the main takeaway is that this was a really fun experience. I felt like a genius when I figured out I could use the cubes to levitate. I had fun working out the puzzles and like the character design. I wish there were more levels and puzzles, which is how I guess you know it's a fun game.

To repeat what I said on stream, I wish I could hide the controls, but keep the area of effect outline up. Other than that, awesome work and great entry.

the good:

I love your character design! and the level design as well. and animations, and movement was good

the bad:

It is a cool ability! but... honestly i found it annoying that it was only one use. and i had to go back and recharge. some advice is maybe have it use 3 or 4 uses, display a bar indicating how many uses you got left, before you need to go back and recharge

(just happened to find this comment, actually this has been implemented! If you see the circles around the player increase in number as you gather more of the grey pick ups. It was so well nested in the sprite and the mechanics I almost missed it, had a "wow moment"!)

wait was that explained!? I didn't know that you can collect it more than once!? I was aware of that visual when you would collect, the ear thingys they would glow

Submitted(+1)

Not explained as in "through text", but through gameplay.

Yep! The ear things also increase in number.

I thought the extra sprites for collection were a nice touch, maybe too subtle if people are missing it, but I noticed the change and it clicked. The understated design and teaching is nice, but hard in jams because I think we’re all playing a little quicker than we normally would because we want to try and give as much feedback as we can during whatever allotted time we have for a session, so you can miss a subtle hint that your abilities have shifted.

This was a great character! Loved how it evolved through the level, and how the mechanics built upon one another. The instructions were useful as well, thanks

Great work!

I really like the idea of using magnetism. My favorite part is when I learned I could fly by pulling up the small block under me. It was fun!

Really cool art and animation. The ability is neat as well, but could use some polish as it feels a bit tedious currently.

Developer

Thanks for the feed back! Can you explain what part specifically was tedious so I can fix it in the future? Were the blocks too slow; the character movement; recharging; etc?

yea, I feel like that issue for me mainly stems from that you can only use the ability once per charge, but either very long if you keep it pressed or only very short if you only click.
I think I would have prefered there to be an  energy bar that drains and can be used for multiple small push/pulls or a longer one.
This would allow for a bit more experimentation without having to run back every time.
This issue kinda goes away later on bc you get the upgrades. But at least in the beginning it's a bit weird that you can do like a short or an infinite push/pull.

Developer

Thank you! I definitely considered that but didn't want to start on a new feature so close to the end. Good to hear that's the direction to go :)
