What a cool game, I love the story and the ability!  I can't wait to see part 2.

Really cool. I did not expect this twist with the ability. Well done

Short game but I think well done. It gives me some nostalgic vibes from PC gaming in the 80s.

interesting and unique mechanic, I think the switching was a pretty cool ability and liked how you used it to change the position of the key for the puzzle, but I didn't know what to do after getting the axe in 2d, because there's seemingly no way to go back without going back to 3d, which deletes the axe. I think completely deleting your inventory when you go from 2d to 3d works fine here, but it's not a really good mechanic if you want to expand on this later. I'd say making it save more stuff when you transition from 2d to 3d could make it a lot more interesting. For example, maybe saving the position of the player or the inventory would be cool, but it's a solid submission for now.

Thanks for playing -- here's a hint: you can't bring the axe with you, but can you maybe leave it somewhere while in 2D that is accessible in 3D...?

This was a fun departure from other entries. Part point and click adventure and a fun 3d world to explore. I like the proof of concept. I was sad to leave the world once I opened up the cave, but it's a good thing to leave players wanting more and I'm excited to see where you go with this next.

I do wish my movement speed indoors was a little closer to outdoors. Performing some actions inside felt tedious, but this is a very impressive entry. Well done.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Of course. I played on stream if you wanted more feedback from my in the moment gameplay I can share the link.

Developer

I was watching! Great stream, and I appreciate you playing the games that had few ratings.

Oh, duh! Sorry, forgot who was there ... which is surprising because I think there were just the four of us!

Really liked it and a very unique ability! Also nice that it had a little story to. My one and only complaint is that I couldn't figure out how to interact with stuff in 3d so that took some experimenting until I figured out it was space. I could just be blind though and missed the controls.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

When you first go to 3D, it says "use Space to interact" in the bottom text instructions. But I could add the controls to the game description page as well so people can find it there too.

Ah I see! I figured I just missed it.
