Really beautiful game and really well put together assets. Everything looks like belongs together and the world is whimsical and cute. The dust bunnies themselves are adorable and I really like the little emotes popping out from them to show their feelings, feels very dynamic and personal to have lil cute faces. I had a giggle over the "Dust Walk" reference and another bunny absolutely going to town on a stack of donuts. Game looks polished and cute. I thought I broke the game when the statue jumped the wall, definitely did not expect it to go that way for the puzzle. I was following the progress when you posted on Discord and it is really cool to play the final version. Would love a whole game of this. Beautiful and well executed, huge fan 10/10!

Aww!! Thank you so much for the review!!✨

Really means a lot you were able to extract this much joy from this project! (and happy the funny bits I tried to insert hit the mark, haha 😊)

I'm really happy how this project came to life, despite me pushing myself to the limits to finish things on time...  While a future for this game is unclear, I will certainly go back after the jam ends and finish the polishingI was pto do and didn't have the time 😝

Very enjoyable to play and to look at, wish I could do more in the game.  I have played nearly 40 games now and this is easy in my top 5. Really cool use of 3D assets and pixel shader, can see a lot of genuine thought, care and effort went into the game. I am always here for the bunny jokes!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I really did use everything I had with this project... There was indeed a lot of planning involved, haha

Had a moodboard, sketches and everything... :D

I started using Pureref for this jam as well! Wow, references are everything. I am learning art for gamdev but most of my sketches are very uhh rustic. Gets the job done!

Developer

Yeah, references make a lot of difference!

I jJust played yours here and I can see the soul of this sketch in the final product! ✨✨✨💪😊

Hey there! Im with my 10yo daughter testing games and here's our feedback!

Message options more space and make it clearer we choose. Took us a while to get it.

Like a • bullets or 1) 2)... a) b)

Music retro is loveable! 100%

Even though the art looks like free assets, th way they are put together to build the world looks nice!

If mouse is near top... new menu opens and glitches if NPC menu is opened too (the wheel with 4 options) - maybe use tab/esc to open that top menu? Its weird it auto opens (my kid almost closes the game accidentally) eouldnt those need text? Its not clear without clicking... Folder in? Folder out?

Im not sure if camera follow "laggish" is intended... Didn't like it :/ feels like the game lags or glitches.

When player (tania) enters the... Castle? The one with statue puzzle and the chest. The art (and color saturation) between map and player looks so different it doesnt quite fit.

About the puzzle nice details on the map to show you how to solve them. ❤️

Unluckily we got stuck and never found the "Bent Sword" to connect with... God's? stone?

Anyways, thanks for publishing your game! Wish you the best. It took me to the past for a while, like how retro games were... without clear hints which makes them more joyful.

P.D. Feel free to check our submission, and if you like it - give us an honest rating with some feedback. That is most appreciated to become better Developers!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!! ❤️

Yeah, most of the issues players had were with the UI and it was one of the few parts I didn't even touch it because of priorities, and went with the engine's default mechanics... I'll take notes for future iterations... 💪

Happy you both enjoyed the overall experience!! (The 'Bent sword' you get by trading the red 'shield' with one of the villagers.. 😊)

And sure! I'm saving here everyone's submission who commented to give a review back.. I'm just so behind in work and house chores and need to save some time to sit down and play 😊

But again, thank you so much for taking the time!! Means a lot!

I love point and click games and really nice to see one in this jam. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I really like the genre and the storytelling potential! It's a (re)fresh take on gaming.. 😊

I must say, this is a lovely game. Love the pixel art aesthetics!

Developer

Thank you so much!

I'm really fond of pixel art and oldstyle games! 😊😊

It reminds me old time, and many hours playing with my old console, great times, great game!!

Developer

Thank you so much! Happy you liked it!😊✨

And  yeah, I too have a lot of nostalgia from old console games ... Good times from going at the rent store and geting a cartridge for the weekend to play with friends.. 😊

Submitted(+1)

This is so well polished and really well put together and presented. Old style gaming reminder - which is a good thing! Super entry. My favourite so far.

Developer

Thank you so much! Time management was hell, but I'm happy I was able to put something cohesive together!

And yeah, I'm old school with my gaming taste, haha! Happy you enjoyed it! 😊😊

Submitted(+1)

Reminds me of the old game boy games!

Developer

Hehe, definitely I had my share of experience with those too!😜

Submitted(+1)

Awesome game! congrats

Developer

Thank you so much! Happy you like it!

Really great game! I liked game design a lot, it felt very satisfying to solve simple quests. Well done! One of my favourites so far!

Developer

Thank you so much!! I tried to go as straightfoward as possible with the puzzles as to not bother people so much, since it's within the context of a game jam playtest.. Happy it was enjoyable! 😊😊

Submitted(+1)

Pretty cute! Nostalgic too

Developer

Thank you! I did my best with what I got in my hands 😊😊

And yeah, I'm an old school 8/16 bit gamer.. hahaha!

Submitted(+1)

Really, really great work! So far, one of my favorites. The aesthetics and the story are very well done, as well as the atmosphere and the environment.

Developer

Thank you so much! The asset packs basically dictated the path I took for the art and story... Glad I managed to make sense out of those !! 😊😊

Submitted(+1)

Really Amazing stuff. It feels good. Assets fit well together: sounds and music, graphics, UI... Perfectly in the theme.

Just a little drawback: the UI sometime comes messing up with the game when you want to go up but nothing really important! Anyway: it's a 5 stars for me!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

Yeah, I didn't account with the 'move the mouse up to call the settings ', while designing the levels... only later I was like... 'uhmm.. I should have thought about that, but I won't change things out of place now'.. haha

I didn't have time to go through ANY of the UI and just used the engine starter pack...  I might go back after the jam finishes and tweak things 😊😊

Submitted(+1)

Amazing job!  Graphics are super cute and the music fits perfectly with the 16-bit vibe.  How in the world did you make this in 10 days?  Well done.

Developer

Thank you! Happy you liked it!! ✨✨

People say 'work smart and not hard'.. well.. I worked smart AND hard.. haha! I was flirting with the asset packs prior to the jam start and since I have a nice 3D shader tool, I could use both 3D and 2D packs, so when the theme was released, I planned the story and game around those assets... then it was 13h to 15h per day of work for the past days... 😅😅

Took a toll in my body for sure (and on my commission workload), but it was super worth, since it was a one time year event!! :P

Submitted(+1)

Really nice art and music, well done!

Developer

Thank you! I put a lot of work into putting things together! 😊

And the music is from a free pack provided by xDeviruchi!

I am shocked that you managed to do this by yourself in such a little timespam! everything felt a lot like those NES/Megadrive era games. It would be one of those games that 5 years-old me would open up, mess around but get stuck for not knowing english, hahaha!

Developer

haha, thank you! Glad you liked it!

Yeah, I'm all in for retro style looking games myself! :D

The engine has a translator feature, but I didn't have any time to even consider that... maybe for a later update after the jam... :)

Submitted(+1)

This is a shockingly well made game considering it is a 10 day gamejam, I must say.

Plus, point and click games aren't usually my thing, but somehow this one was really enjoyable for me!

Developer

Thank you so much! Yeah, old school point and click games had lots of 'pixel hunt' and hard puzzles, but for the jam I tried to go as straightforward as possible... One friend said I was 'handholding' a lot, but I rather have a cheezy simple game for this jam... haha

Glad youl iked it!

Submitted(+1)

waw ! I can't even realize all the job behind this. Well done !

Developer

Thank you so much!!

Yeah, coding everything was hell, but I learned A LOT! haha!

This feels so much like something I would have played on my GBA when I was a kid. I love every single bit of it. My only complaint is that I want to play more of it, and I think that's a good complaint to have. I like the story, I like how "incorrect interactions" have their own little reasonings (like wanting to talk with an inanimate object having the character say stuff like "I don't think it will reply me").

If anyone told me this was a full game on Steam I would belive them, it's very well made!

Developer

This means a lot to me, Carlos! I grew up with games like this and I'm really fond of the genre and aesthetics...

Happy you had a good experience with it! I put a lot of work into this project and I'm beyond words how people are receiving it! ✨✨

I wish I had time to do more puzzles and content , but managing the project was tense... haha ! (had to scrap one more puzzle and one cutscene)

Submitted(+1)

It is a very good game, my congrats to you guys, if the game were more fluid i play all the game, but it is an amazing job

Developer

Thank you so much!!  ✨✨

I went solo dev on this one and I admit I overscoped a bit, haha!

Glad you had a good time!

Submitted(+1)

Wow no notes, this looks and plays great... well done for getting so much done!

Developer

Thank you so much! 😊

I wanted to try all different mechanics of an adventure game and I think I got an 'experience' of the genre...

But I'm dead tired from all the work.. haha 😅😅
