A very nice approach on this kind of bullet hell. Rly like how the island is extending and how the progress feels.
The game loop has a lot of mechanics that work well together, I really love that the design get's me to explore the whole map as it keeps evolving. The controls took a moment to get used too, but I was able to hop around the map with confidence by the end. I also appreciate the re-spawn, probably what helps the confidence :)
AHAHAH! Thanks on that. Play testers early and often helped with the game loop. I started with something, I would hear what worked, what didn't work, when it was too boring and nothing to do. Then had to think of what to fill in that space to help it out. The day/night helped me plan a 2 step process for the game loop to get a time of action and a time of "rest".
Congrats on your submission! This was a really fun game! It is very polished and clear a lot of work went into it. The combat is very satisfying, especially when you line up a fully charged shot. Also the visuals are beautiful! I would have liked to have been able to return to the tree on my own without having to fall off the edge, but that's my only criticism. Or maybe i'm just bad at it and you can return to the tree by platforming. Anyway, well done!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I could have communicated the jumping mechanics more like there is a double jump. That the jump is variable (when you let go, you start going down) unless you hit the peak. You can jump through the bottom of the stone platforms as well as the leaf blocks, etc. Hugely appreciate your awesome words :D.
Really solid game. If you tightened up the movement it would be near-perfect imo
This is actually such a great idea, such an addictive gameloop, this would become a very fun roguelike with abilities for both the player and the world and of course some actual polish. However, i must tell you that i hate that ui, if you plan to continue developing this game (which i think you should and inform me whether you will) make sure to change it, i also feel like the game lacks juice and polish, which is normal for a jam game but disturbs the experience Overall amazing job!
A very fun game to play — it has the aesthetics, the theme, and the gameplay. A great example of level and environment scalability, congrats.
There are a few small tweaks needed, which have already been mentioned here, but it’s a great delivery.

Brilliantly made! This has so many elements which work so well seamlessly.. the combat, the levelling up, the tower defense part. Really polished! Loved playing it, great job! There are so many satisfying effects like when the spear is fully charged.. wow!
This was a very relaxing game. Casual and fun to play. The only feedback I can provide is the arrows are not clear at first, also enemies are not indicated using arrows either, so I spent most the time flying around the map trying to figure out where the enemy was, the sound did help a lot though.
Nice game! The look is amazing, and throwing arrows at bugs is so fun. Great game!
I like what you've done in regards to the evolving nature of the platforms particularly for tree roots. The game was really fun! I got to lv11 ^.^ - I think my biggest first experience feedback is I felt like I wasnt getting enough essence to repair AND level the tree. And secondly I had struggles trying to jump, like sometimes the double jump/jumpnig would work and other times it ignored me and I just fell.
But overall was a really good game and concept! Congrats!
Way to go on reaching level 11! lv 16 is the highest for the tree's growth. Huge thank you on the awesome feedback. I can use it for tweaking the values to help balance it more. Jumping is definitely something I'm going to look into on how to get it to feel better. Glad you had fun and thank you for playing!
Cool game, I don't think I've ever played anything like it, and it was really fun. It took me a while to understand that I could jump more than once, but that was probably my fault.
If it is further developed to be able to play in CO-OP mode, I think it will be even more fun because I will be able to play with my friends.

I am not very good at these type of games, so it took me 16 days of struggle. I thought the spear was charged when it turned red, but it turns out you have to hold the mouse button a little bit longer. Also, it’s nice that you can teleport back to the tree by falling off the screen. I felt like I know what I was doing after I figured those two things out. Your art is really awesome.
