that's exactly what i wanted to do in the jam, i love the concept but i don't think i did a good job in the short amount of time to what the concept could be, after the jam i want to fix it to be more like the concept that i wanted :)

that's cool iv never seen that game until now, my main inspiration for this game was the lack of games that give you a map but with no playing indicator on it where you have to use your navigation skills to find safety sadly i didn't have much time in the jam to fix things and add what a wanted like procedural enticement and other conditions, in the futter i might add more and change it to how i originally wanted it to be, thanks for playing :)
please play my game i will play yours :) Don't Freeze (a game about navigating with a map) by theDwarf80
This is amazing grate job on your first game. i love your art style for this game, sadly i don't know French (i would like to some day) but otherwise this is a really a nice little game. Two little things i found was at one point in the game on the way to the cat there is a rock that gets blocked by the parallax from the tree when walking by it so for better visibility you might want to get rid of the tree or maybe move it, and also some time the dog would get stuck on slopes, but overall i had no problems.
p.s. i'm also a more visual person when it comes to making games, a good game engine you might want to try is Godot it is really easy to use and grate for 2D games.
Good luck on your game dev journey :)
im not on Discord :( but this link (theDwarf80 - itch.io) has my games and an asset pack that i made and here is a picture of a small game im working on

When the jam theme is announced spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour (or 2 hours) thinking about how you can incorporate the theme into your game. Make sure you have plenty of time to work on the game throughout the week, and be sure to leave at least 1-2 days to submit the game to Itch so you not rushed. If you need any more advice i'm glad to help :)
p.s. I also use Godot "GO GODOT!"
