How does the game fit the theme?
Playing it safe is the fastest way to lose,
and pushing your luck is the only way to win!

The goal of this game is to be faster than your opponent and the game rewards you by playing risky-giving you Risk Points that increase your speed. Also the start of the race tries to force you to risk it until the elastic breaks!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some sound effects and code snippets were copied from previous projects. We have downloaded a free skybox and wood and dust textures.

How many people worked on the game?

Really unique game, loved the aesthetics. The controls were really wheel implemented too. Great work!

Developer

Haha, thanks! Glad the controls were on track. Your feedback really fuels us forward ;)

Cute game, love the cactus' expressions when you crash into them.

Very smooth controls, my only comment (this is my own preference) is for controller inputs.

Well made! Congrats!

Developer

Thank you for your honest feedback! Very much appreciated :)

The game is really cute, too bad I didn't have a friend to play with! It's really cool that there are multiple cookies to choose from, I choose the cutest one hehe.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Personally, I think the game is even more fun with a friend, but I’m really glad you enjoyed playing with the cute cookie ;)

Cute interesting game! The movement was really smooth and satisfying, I liked it, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! We are glad you like the movement!

The game is very addictive! The gameplay reminds of Sonic Riders, which is very nice =)

Developer

You really think so! It means a lot to us, thank you so much for your comment :D

Great work! The race mechanics worked really well, I thought the drift mechanic with the down arrow was a cool touch. With a bit more polish (music / audio) this could be released!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the nice feedback! We are glad you had no problems with having the drift on the down button :)

Incredible game all around!! Loved getting cookie skins! The gameplay feels very polished and i really enjoyed it, that first turn is hard af tho! My only suggestion is having a proper tutorial as the signs at thee beggining were hard to read as i was going so fast, so i ended up dying to the first turn before i figured out how the game worked. Other than that amazing stuff! Congrats on this game!

Developer

Thank you, we are so glad you liked our game! We agree, the boards at the beginning of the track were just a last minute idea to have at least some kind of tutorial, haha. As for the first turn, the tracks are randomly generated so I guess you got quite unlucky but it is of course our fault that the random generation can produce such a hard corner... Glad you enjoyed it anyways ;)

Very solid racing game! Has a lot of the mechanics that you would expect. Not sure why the dust particles were rotating with the camera, maybe you have them set to face camera plane and thats messing it up? Also, was the bgm ai generated?  There were inconsistencies with the tempo and it was a bit distracting. But overall solid game!

I would appreciate if you could take a look at mine as well, any feedback is appreciated!

Developer

Thank you so much for paying attention to the details! Don’t worry - none of the music we’ve written is AI-generated. This time, I had to play the music myself on a synth due to time restrictions, so there are certainly some rhythmic inconsistencies! (But I did spend multiple tries making them as subtle as I could :))

Really nice game! people from our stuido enjoyed it. feel free to play our game and rate it as well :)

Developer

That makes us so happy, thanks that you guys enjoyed it! We will give it a try ;)

It feels good but the speeding could give more visual cue like how they do it in racing game! great job btw!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! I see what you mean, a bit more particle effects, and camera effects right :)

Submitted

Nice concept, and it's really fun to play. Great job! I would appreciate it if you also tried my game!

Developer

Thanks for your comment! Sure, we try!

I liked the visual style here and the camera perspective and FOV worked well to build the sensation of going really fast.  Also very cool to have the track switch up from round to round.  This helps keep the races dynamic and less focused on rote memorization.  Great job!

Developer

Thanks for noticing so many details in our game.  We’re really glad you had fun!

Super cool game!  It was like a mini trackmania!  The track being so short allows the player to continually refine their pathing and use of barrel rolls.  My only critique would be that not being able to finish my last run after the timer ran out was a bit upsetting.  I understand that the timer stops the game for both players to keep things fair, but I think the game should allow solo players to continue on their last run.  Anyways, super amazing game!

Developer

💡 I think allowing overtime could make the game better! Thanks for the priceless critique and the detailed feedback!

awesome game and the visuals are absolutely amazing, it would have been better if there was more than one track but overall it is very fun

Developer

Thank you! We are glad you like the visuals so much! Every time you play you get a bit different track but you are right, more tracks would be great

Submitted

Fun and polished game! Liked the risk mechanic, wished it had more tracks, and also the multiplayer aspect is a nice addition :)

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! There are some variations for the tracks but I  would also prefer if there would be more... maybe in the future ;)

And the music was awesome!

Really well made game, there's an astonishing amount here given the time constraint.

The visuals are very solid, the only thing I'm not sure about is the skybox. I know it was an external asset, but imo it doesn't fit very well with the game's style.

The base driving controls felt great, I kinda wish there were a few more good opportunities to drift, but that may also just be me being bad at the game.

Overall, great work and very impressive game!

Developer(+1)

Thank for the detailed comment! I understand that some turns are not optimized for drifting, but I am glad you still had fun playing!

Yay, I won! I became first place out of 1 participants... 😄 nice game, I wish there were more levels and maybe other AI racers? (or even online pvp!?) well done!

Developer

Congrats, haha! I am glad you enjoyed our game and I agree, having AI racers or even online pvp would make this game a lot better. Thanks for your comment!

Really solid and fun game

Sleek and polished. Nice art, but the movements felt a little too squishy, with little to no friction, so it was a bit too hard to handle at high speeds. I was driving like my granny. In full-screen mode, some parts of the UI were cut off. I'm not sure if it's because of my widescreen or the itch.io full-screen mode, which is quite buggy, if I'm honest.

Developer

Hello, thank you for your honest comment! We didn’t know there were issues with the UI, so we’re really grateful that you pointed this out. If I had to guess, I’d say your widescreen isn’t 16:9. Due to time constraints, we only tested the UI on that dimension and hoped it would display correctly on others as well - a fatal mistake 😅
