great game! the art is cool and the physics and movement remind me of Star Control, I like the concept of upgrading the ship, overall I enjoyed playing! congratulations! keep it up!
Hey, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the kind words!
Interesting interpretation of the theme, the twist added with the delivery quests is interesting and creates a sense of direction. Graphics and sound are nice and fit well. Good funny entry, congrats!
Thanks, glad you liked my take on the theme/genre!
It's a great game. All that's left is to polish it up and it can be released. =)
Thanks for the positive feedback and nice score!
wow fun game
Thanks!
A very pleasant surprised! I enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought! This is a game that I could actually see myself buying in the future! 😁
The gameplay itself is like any other from this genre, but you have managed to make the game addictive. The progression curve feels a little slow at first, but you actually feel more powerful after a few deliveries, good job!
I would make the delivery location arrow a little more visible, as right now it can be lost in the screen. Other than that, very good game, the best of this genre I've played in this jam! 😄
I really enjoyed the game, great job!
Hi, thank you for the review.
I agree with the sentiment of progression being a bit too slow in the early game and the delivery arrow being hard to spot, especially when there are lots of enemies. I'll be releasing an Update post-jam, and will take these points into account.
I'm very happy that you enjoyed the game and my take on the Vampire Survivors genre. 🙂
Always happy to help! 😃
Addicting in the same way as vampire survivors! I liked that I could choose a fast ship in the beginning. It was fun to weave through enemies.
Hey, nice to hear you liked my take on the genre!
Nice variety of weapons and upgrades.
Game itself feel really hard :(
Also after station visit or upgade selection my mouse usually is in a bad spot and I can end up flying in opposit direction. I would suggest you add a small split second pause after upgrade is selected so I can reposition mouse cursor for flying.
Hey bryengx, sorry about the difficulty. I like hard games ;)
Your suggestion about having a split second pause is excellent. Will definitely be in the Post-Jam update.
Thank you for the suggestions/feedback!
Awesome entry, I liked the Vampire Survivor vibe but with the possibility of doing shipping mission.
Maybe the game could use to be controlled with a gamepad ?
Glad you enjoyed the game ;)
Controller support sounds good, I will look into adding it once the jam is over.
Pretty fun game overall. I quite like the added mechanic of making deliveries adds an extra layer of gameplay that fits in nice. It was really cool discovering the different upgrades and enemies. I do however wish that the upgrades you get from leveling up were a little more interesting. Small % stat buffs tend to feel a bit underwhelming. Good stuff overall though!
Hi Jared, thank you for the feedback!
On the levelling upgrades, I get your criticism. I will look into improving the levelling upgrades.
I'm glad you liked the progression, the delivery aspect of it, and the game in general though.
Really good game. Can't think of anything I would improve.
Hey, glad you enjoyed it!
Addicting as it should be :)
I liked second ship. Not sure if it is a bug, but my shield was on all the time.
Good entry and good luck!
Thank you for the feedback/bug report. Nice to hear you liked the game.
The shield being always on most certainly is a bug ;)
I'll look into fixing it, although I've just tried to replicate it and couldn't. Might be a weird WebGL thing.
Well, I died after some time, so there were no absolute protection. Yet some collisions felt like damage, but there was none.
WebGL gave me lots of trouble too.
Thanks for the reply.
Was it the case that enemies would pass through the shield sprite and yet you would take no damage? If so, that was intended. Your ships hitbox should be slightly smaller than the actual ship sprite. This is to basically make dodging enemies feel more streamlined.
I'll think about ways I can make this more clear, as your assumption that your shield would itself register collision is very intuitive.
Thank you again for the in-depth feedback.
Tried a bunch of the other ships but it feels like the first one is vastly superior.
Ah yes, the first one is the superior ship... in the early game.
However, some of the other ones can come into their own later in the game.
Game Design baby.
(You are right though, the first ship starts too good. I will probably nerf the first ship once the Jam has finished).
Thank you for the critical feedback!
Nice survivors clone, got me bopping my head to the tunes. I'd recommend ramping up the progression a little faster. I took every speed upgrade I saw but eventually still got overrun in my juggernaut anyways. Bigger numbers = bigger dopamins. That's game science. :)
Hi, glad you liked the game and tunes.
Agree that bigger numbers = bigger dopamins. Perhaps I could add a zero on the end here and there hmmmm? ;)
Regarding "I'd recommend ramping up the progression a little faster" do you mean difficulty progression or how fast you get weapons/utility items?
Thanks for the feedback!
Great spin on Vampire Survivors, I could totally see myself getting addicted to this :) The ship movement and deliveries are great changes from VS, makes the gameplay much more active and engaging. Really awesome stuff!
Thank you for the kind words!
I'm happy to hear that you liked the controller and thought it improved the experience and made the game more engaging.
Fun, addictive game, music is a bop.
Music is indeed a bop.
Got it from here
Addictive game with great music
I thinks this game has the potential as a relaxing time killer mobile game
But I feel like mouse can be the only control for the game. Since movement speed can be controlled with distance between cursor to spaceship.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your suggestion that the game be controllable only by mouse is good, I'll look into adding that once the Voting ends.
I don't know much about mobile ports, but this could be a good game to experiment with porting.
That's quite an impressive game with quite a lot of content, especially as you did it alone.
I like that the different ships and upgrades offer opportunities for emerging gameplay. For example, I tried the slow bulky ship thinking that it would be unbalanced as you get so many enemies around you but it turned out fine. I played completely differently as I was able to have enemies trail me, get shot and automatically have their loots collected.
Anyways, thanks for making that game!
Thanks for the feedback!
I put a lot of hours into programming and balancing it all. Its nice to see that the extra content allowed you to play it in different ways.
I loved the fact that its not super hard or demanding, you can generally cruise around avoiding some enemies following the next delivery and collecting some moneys, the fact that you don't need to worry about attacking and killing enemies I think made it quite enjoyable and less stressful. I was just wishing there was some kind of speed up that I could intermitently activate or a boost of sorts.
Visuals are good and very much in the theme and the audio as well.
Hey, glad you liked it all!
Your suggestion for a speed boost sounds promising. I'll look into how it affects gameplay and might add it in once voting closes.
Really nice game! After you get used to the controls, the game really starts to become fluid.I definitely got the same pleasure from this game as I did from Vampire Survivors!
Thank you.
Nice to know it scratched the same itch as Vampire Survivors!
Really fun game while surprisingly has alot of content.
One QoL thing i prefer is that there no reason for the select upgrade button to be that small, just make the button to be the whole upgrade panel instead of having that small button below.
Hi Huntrt, glad you liked it. I tried to put a lot of effort into making the items all different, so I'm glad it shows.
I like your idea of making the upgrade button the size of the whole shop item panel. Kind of surprised I didn't think of it myself as I did that with the ship selection screen ;)
Thanks a bunch!
