I liked the game ! The graphics and the global atmosphere are quite good.

However, i couldn't manage to pass the first level because it was too hard for me ...

Despite that i can see that the game is good and polished no worries, but in my opinion this is too hard currently

Good job ! :)

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it!

The difficulty seems to be a common agreement with the people that have played, we are preparing a new patch that decreases the difficulty a little bit! 😛

Thank you for playing!

The game is amazing! I love the graphics and the text-to-speech voice acting. I wish there were one or two more checkpoints throughout each level, but only because I was super bad and kept dying. Other than that, it was a super fun and cool game!

Developer

Thank you for playing!!

We are planning to lower the difficulty in future updates, so stay tuned! 😁

Wow, there was a lot of cool stuff here!

Loved the menu! I also had the same issue with the tutorial screen, but I loved how the game guided me to the tutorial. I think the difficulty was great and the game play loop was solid. Loved all the cliche lines that were used, and the slow mo section was a nice cherry on top.

Great Work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! 😁

Glad you enjoyed your experience! ☺️

Fun deconstruction of FPS cliches. I did run in to a small bug. The arrow telling you to do the tutorial didn't stayed on the screen when I opened it and covered up some of the instructions.

Screenshots look raytraced, 5 Stars on graphics.

Thankss for play our game!!

That was really fun! thank you for the great game!

Soooooooooo funny I am laughing to death watching the credits xDD

Solid game overall, making a FPS is very ambitious and also making a caricatural one is so nice x) Very good game I loved it ggs

Just a simple drawback : the platforming part is very hard due to how the character controller works but for a jam game it's expected to have this kind of minor issues no worries

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your input, really glad you had some laughs while playing!! 😆😆

I agree with the platforming section,it's definitely something that we will improve in the next patch when the jam ends! 😁

Game stuck on Godot logo but ai hear the music.
Can you help?
I like the music though.

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear that! 😥

Are you playing on Windows? If so, try launching the game again, it can get stuck loading the levels.

If the problem persists, try using the Web version. I'll paste the steps in this comment:

  1. Download the .zip file (glass-jungle.zip).
  2. Extract the executable and the .pck file into the same folder.
  3. Enter the page gotm.io.
  4. Press the Upload button (top right corner, cloud icon with arrow).
  5. Drop the .pck file into the dialog.
  6. Wait for the game to load and play!

Hope this helps, let me know if you are able play!

Thanks 👍

Developer

No problem! 😊

Nice game! cool gameplay, graphics and voice acting, a little hard for me, maybe needs some health to pick up, it was fun, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!! 😃

This is super silly. I love the film set approach to it.

Controls feel tight. Headshots are fun to go for.

Level design is great!

Developer

Thank you!

Happy to hear that people are liking the controls and level design! 😁

The graphics I thought were good. Gameplay felt nice (headshots were easy and satisfying), killing dozens of enemies on a roll was reinvigorating although I felt we took maybe a bit too much damage, especially since there were usually multiple enemies I had to always duck under something and take them one by one very carefully, also it took a little too long to recover.

The constant little cliche lines delivered by these meme voice machines were super funny. All in all, very enjoyable game!

I had some performance issues tho, and my PC isn't that bad either, rtx2070+i7. Oh and I found a bug were the little prompt at the start of the game wouldn't go away and didn't let me read the instuctions properly.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!!

Every player seems to agree that the game feels good to play, but you take damage too easily, slowing the fast-paced gameplay each time you have to heal. We will have to fix that in the future. We also noticed the overlapped help UI, we will have to fix that too 😅.

The performance is not great, this was our first full 3D game using Godot and it shows, but at least we have learned some tricks that will help us in furure projects hehehe. We will try to improve the game's performance over time! 😁

Don't beat yourselves up too much, I am really impressed with what I played!!

Thank you for your kind words 🥰

I very much enjoyed the game. It was most certainly cliche, and the shooting and movement was very satisfying.

Aesthetic felt consistent and appropriate for the game.

Voice acting was very professional and delivered with precision that I only thought a machine could achieve.

Thumbs up from me!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!!

Glad you found the shooting and movement to ve satisfying, it was one of our main goals! 😃

Our art team did a pretty good job designing the graphics and style of the game, I'm very proud of them ☺️.

And we only cast the best actors to voice our games hehehe. 😉

The game looks great and the endless barrage of clichés is on point. The repetitiveness and TTS monotonousness of the one liners is so bad, it's good! Basically a perfect rendition of an action b-movie, awesome work!

On the other hand, I feel like the implementation of the health mechanic slows the game down way too much; I personally feel like more health and quicker regeneration would help a lot more in delivering a fast-paced, action-packed experience - although it would make the game much easier, which maybe you don't want.

Also the controls feel great!

Developer

Thank you very much! It was our intention to make it feel like b-movie, glad we managed to do it right! 😁

About the health and regeneration, we agree that maybe an extra health point would make the game more dynamic. Our intention was to make the game challenging, but it may be too harsh at some points, breaking the fast-paced action a little bit 😅. At the same time, we feel like the difficulty itself is just right, so maybe a little more time to balance action, health and regeneration would have ended in a better game-cycle.

Glad you liked the controls, it was one of our main goals to make the game feel good to play! 😃

Thank you for playing!! 😊

The game is just stuck on the godot screen for me. :(

Sorry to hear! Are you trying to play on Windows or Web?

Try opening the game again, it can sometimes get stuck while opening.

If the problem persists, try the Web version, I'm posting the instructions in this comment:

Loved it. Im getting notes of Hitman with a hint of Liam Neeson. Dialogue was super funny and backing track was really cool so top marks for audio. Had some surprises with enemies spawning right in front of me and needing to do a scene re-take but once I figured out where they were going to be it was all good. Really nice entry, and great job.

Developer

Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!! 😄😄😄

I like the idea that these are scenes that are getting played out... can make it even more cliche to have to do another take... 'cuz I died over and over again. Very funny to hear computer generated speech swear like a sailor. Thanks.

Developer

Hahaha, I'm glad you liked the game and our idea to use TTS technology for the dialogs! 🤣

Thanks for playing! ☺️

A really nice game, it would be lying if I say that I don't enjoy the graphic

Developer

Thank you!! Our art team has made a really good job in a short period of time! 😃

This feels like a very complete entry!

I liked the music choice and the gunplay and movement felt very fluid.

In terms of cliches I especially enjoyed the CoD shot hit cross and sound.

On level 2 the platforming section felt a bit off, afaik the only way to complete it was to sprint jump across all the elements. And the timing was a bit too punishing.

I feel like I would have liked the enemies to be a bit more forgiving. I tried playing the game quite fast and it felt difficult not to die in a few sections.

Overall, I liked it!

Oh and I loved your use of text to speech

Developer

Thanks for the input!

Yeah, the platform section has to be one of the roughest spots in the game 😖. We already had to tweak it some times before, but it seems like we will have to end tweaking the movement system too to adapt better to platforming sections.

The difficulty is intended to be somewhat punishing, as the player can heal just taking cover. However, I could see the benefits of adding an extra Health Point to the character 👀.

Very glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing!!
