The part I enjoyed the least in the experience was the interminable tutorial, which plays every time you start a game. I needed the information within it, but I wasn't willing to bear with the sequence of text bubbles. I would strongly recommend tutorialising things in game directly when it's necessary to use a certain function. You could have also placed the A and D keys visually directly on the player's cursor, tinted them the colours you did and the tint true and false the same colour. Done. No need for tutorial at all.

The graphics are simple, abstract and coherent. It's all very teal, but that's a matter of taste. In contrast, I think the colours you picked for the bullets are too unsubtle. #FF0000 and #00FF00 are not exactly a match for your art style, and they are a nightmare for people with colour blindness.

I'm not a fan of uncontrolled randomness in skill based games such as your own. The ??? tiles affect my playing experience negatively. I know you wanted to stick to the theme at least to some extent, but I don't think it justifies damaging your design. With that said, I do think the game benefits from having a wildcard. But you should brainstorm to find a way to make it somewhat predictable.

Audio was solid. I really liked the SFX for moving left and right, but it did mislead me to think that it would be a rhythm game. Not sure this information is that useful, but there... :)

Decent entry.

Your game is very cool !

I've liked the UI a lot and the concept is very cool too ! My highscore is 2620 (Excuse me I'm bad XD)

And liked the music too !

The visuals are very clean and the music is alright. However, tiles take multiple hits to take out and can overlap; I think both are not ideal. My score was getting pretty high, but then the shooter bugged out as I tried to shoot a tile just before it hit the bottom. Resulting in my highscore being 4300.

Good job! It's fun! :D

The music and visual style is really good. The gameplay is okay, but I would liked a bit more game mechanics. Overall a good jam game. Well done.

I saw the title "Bool" and the programmer nerd in me wanted to try it.

Nice little game you've got here! With some refinements, this could be a good time killer for some people!

At first I didn't think you could skip the first dialogue (can get a bit long at each restart.) I then noticed you could press T and it would skip everything. Maybe the game should have been a bit more clear about that one, because I know some people don't like at all finding controls by themselves.

Again, good entry! Great job!

If you've got some spare time, come try and rate mine! There are 7 endings to find with a dumb narrator.

Thanks so much on the detail and for just simply committing

Pretty good game. I feel like sometimes I get stuck and then I can't move until I'm hit though.

If you wouldn't mind rating mine: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476341 :P

Nice game, it would be awesome if it would be more responsive
Sometimes I got stuck in one tile and inputs don't work until I'm hit by a boolean

Nice Aesthetic- both music and graphics made this game a great sort of zen/zone-out game (But it's hard! haha)

Developer

Wow thanks so much :) )

Nice little fun game.

I wonder why you decided to make the text blocks require two shots instead of one? It made the game less responsive.

Anyways, congrats on making it! If you have some time, I'd love if you checked out my game! ;)

Okay ill Update The Game Fix Some Bugs Thanks Let Me Check Out Yours

The true/false textboxes feel a bit clumsy, sometimes they overlap and overwhelm the screen a bit too much. I can't really see where the lie part of the game is, it's probably in the guy who tells you about the ??? tiles but as it's a fast paced game I don't think it can be appreciated enough. The UI is pretty great and the idea is innovating as well, so that's pretty good :D
