Congrats on your good scoring, but can you explain how some of your game files have a date before the jam started? Just kidding, man. It's funny seeing all of these people posting question marks at the top rated games and you coming in to disprove them XD.

Developer

Thanks mate, congrats on your scoring too. And yeah, i've seen many people upvoting these comments about the dates of some files without even checking it themselves, so I hoped I could clarify it.

Well then, have a nice one and good luck for your next titles :)

Had fun playing this, and I like the humorous story that fits the theme! The sounds, the fake exits, level of challenge and the ARTWORK are all awesome! Really great work. :D Rated! It felt a little difficult to jump and using the left mouse button on a track pad for attack was weird for me but I still enjoyed.

If you have time, I'd love to hear what you think of our entry too:

Very cool graphics bud, i love that minimalist feel!!

Nice work! The pixel art is great and the music fits well.

I liked the level design, especially the Super Mario Maker-esque reverse psychology trolls with an arrow pointing where the good outcome is after the player gets trained otherwise ^^

The controls were pretty good (the character could be a little lighter but that's just preference).
I liked the boss at the end and the "looped plot" ending was great as well.

All in all, cool game!

Also, feel free to check out my submission, it's a platformer as well!

On a sidenote, I wouldn't smooth camera movement when using Unity's Pixel Perfect, it makes it jitter a lot. You could lock it on the character with some movement buffer in y axis (or even better use a static cam and move it only when needed).

I always love pixel art platformers and this one goes into my list! A little shaky when moving  not sure the cause but Smooth gameplay , good pixel art!  Rated <3! Do check out our game if you have available time! Much appreciated!

Hah! Good ending. I loved the simplicity of it. Very well presented. Some of the crate obstacles were a little frustrating.

Cool little game. I liked the twist in the end a lot, it was very original.

The controls feel good and the dungeon is nice even if I'm not a big fan of pixel perfect jumps.

The final boss was cool.

The graphics are cool and I like the purple walls of the dungeon.

The music was neat but I had to turn the volume up a lot to listen to it properly whereas the sound fx were to loud but nice sounding.

I rated all 5 stars because our games are soooo similar haha, Please check out my game when you can!

A fun game with a good adherence to the theme. The controls were finicky and caused some frustration (Mike La Grand already mentioned) but once I beat the game it felt worth it. Thanks for sharing your submission with us 😃

This game super fun to play! Amazing work for only one week of being able to make a game.

Playing this game was a lot of fun, I especially enjoyed the graphics. Sadly the player tended to slide a bit too far on the floor. Nonetheless this is a great game jam title! Thanks for making this!
