Nice idea but it was a little fast paced. I didn't fully get it until I died at the ripe old age of 33 LOL. I like to concept of balancing elements of your life to live longer but I didn't understand the bombs or the heart. You could make it more simple and focus on just wealth, mind and body and make these more obvious as what they do. Great idea though and a ton of potential here.

Thanks for playing! I agree it is definitely fast paced. The elements of wealth, body and mind are already there. Wealth in the money, body is the food and mind is the hearts. The life bombs take away food or affection (Heart) if you get hit. If they are too low, you lose health quicker. A good balance and you lose health slower, therefore live longer. A good in game tutorial is definitely needed but didn't have time for this one. Thanks for taking the time for detailed feedback, greatly appreciated!

Wow, thanks for videoing your thoughts while playing the game. Really gives an insight what you were thinking while playing the game. I can tell you that the health was the cross, next to the age and the heart was affection. You had to balance the heart and the food so the health goes down slower. I really missed a good tutorial to explain it but just didn't have time. Really appreciate you taking the time to create the video and provide feedback, I loved that I was straight after Liam's game in the video too!! Thanks man.

Got to the age of 39. I loved how you created the balance of each resource having dependence on the other.  That just made me kept moving, working hard to secure some resources while leaving others. The art style was great too. It felt a little ominous and personal. Thanks for this game!

I got to age 38 :) Cool concept for the game also i liked the art :) It was a bit hard to understand at first but eventualy i got the idea :) well done!

I love the music, itw was really atmospheric. Maybe you could do a bit better with the level design cause when you go to the top there is only one way down. Also the idea is pretty neat, the tutorial could be a bit more describeful tho.

I really wanted to be able to drop down the platforms but just couldn't figure it out without the bombs dropping as well. Definitely a better tutorial would help too. Really fun and tight platforming controls. I was also pretty unclear about exactly how it all worked! But was fun to play nonetheless and love the art style. Good work!

Criticism - At the beginning, it was a bit unclear that you needed money to get food and affection, so I would add that to the rules page. 

Support - The gameplay is very fun and it's a very innovative concept.  It's fun juggling all of your stats and trying to keep them up.

It's a fun game you can sink a lot of time into. Constantly trying to manage all things while not letting one get too big is the most challenging part of the game. The platforming feels a bit stiff, would love to have been able to drop down through platforms. Great job overall!

Awesome glad you  liked it! The platforms are stiff, they are just box colliders so maybe should've added a poly collider now you bring it up! I tried to get the drop down because it would've been good for this game but I couldn't get it to work without the bombs dropping too and just didn't have time to figure it out. This game is... confusing... In many ways actually... :/

First, I don't really get the balance part... Let me explain what i mean: Health requires Food. And Eating requires Money. So far all makes sense. But the part that doesn't really make sense is the fact that getting Money doesn't drain any Health. So this, instead of a game where you have to balance life, it becomes a  game where "you need to get money, while avoiding obstacles (bombs) to get food (and heal yourself if you need, which if you're good at the game it's almost never)", which is just about living life and not balancing it

Second, the game says that sometimes less is more, but that isn't really true at all: you are never put in a situation where having, let's say as an example, less money would be more convenient for the player than having more money, again, that's for the same reason as i described before. Unless...

Third, and this i think that will be correlated  with the previous point, Money, Health and Food were all somewhat intuitive to understand. Now, the cross on the other hand, it isn't explained anywhere how it works (actually anything is really explained :/), nor is it intuitive to understand. Heck, for a moment i didn't even noticed it. I'm assuming it will be something that will increase only if all the previous 3 are balanced and/or doesn't exceed a certain threshold. That is the only possible way i imagined to be fitting the theme, otherwise i have no clue how does it fit...

Now, despite what it can all seem, i actually had a lot of fun with the game, even if it was just a simple gameplay, which i didn't really understand most of it... It's almost like i lost myself in... (So, good job for that, i guess)

I... really don't know how to rate this... :/

Haha. Thanks for that feedback! Taking the time to go in to that much detail is greatly appreciated! It isn't well explained in game. I completed the game in 2 days because I had to work so just didn't have enough time have detailed tutorials or explanations other than the start scene quick text I added last minute. The heart is actually affection not health and the cross is the health. If the cross gets to 0 the game is over. If you have too much or not enough affection or food the health actually goes down way faster. So you have to balance the food and affection to live longer. You can't buy food without money so you also have to go out and earn money, where you can get hit by life bombs. That was the idea anyway and now that I type it, I probably should have just typed that on the start menu screen... I'm glad you did still find it engaging to play! I don't mind what you rate it, I'm just glad you played my game and had a bit of fun. Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to give that detailed feedback, I really do appreciate it!

Oh, so the Heart isn't your life, but is affection, and you health is the cross?? Huh, that changes pretty much how i'll approach the game from now on... Thanks for the clarification (^u^)

This game is weird but very innovative and unique, the artstyle is weird but cool and the music and sfx are good. Really cool mechanic of finding a balance i achieved 48 years in my second run. Great job.

Really cool game! Love the pickup sounds haha. I really liked the complexity of the game, but it was a little confusing to understand the mechanics at first.

Cool concept, platfomer when you must think about your stats. There is a lot of things to master, so if you want to be really good at this game you could (unfortunately I got only to the age of 37)

37 is pretty good. Just for context you can't really get much past 60 even if you created the game (me). I didn't have time to balance it to 100, which would be the natural number of minds would base the age off of. The controls are really responsive, and made it easy and satisfying to dodge the stars, while making you feel like you mastered the game. Good job!
