Thanks! Will do!

The game is really good and it feels nice to play, the transition is great but i couldn't go through the full game cause it kept crashing on my computer :p

Developer

Ahh thanks for the feedback! Did it crash after a bluescreen? Because that was the (admittedly somewhat rushed) actual conclusion haha

Submitted

No, it crashed before :/

Developer

ahh damn- thanks for the heads up!

Submitted

Very well done! I thought outside the box on my first play through, and enjoyed the reward for it. Good job!

Developer

Nice ;) Thank you for playing and its nice to hear you enjoyed!

Submitted

Very clever transition! Game felt tight and polished, but I found it pretty hard to not get hit by myself, although I might just suck XD

Great work!

Developer

Thanks! And yeah fair enough haha- we tried to make the consequences of death small to help mitigate that but it's still hard! Thanks for playing :D

Perfect Score. Rated all the categories and came to read comments about the relevance to the theme, but when I realized what was it, boy I jumped on my chair. Awesome game.

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you so much! I'm glad you caught the hints in the comments haha- we should have had more in game hints but oh well. Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed :)

DaNG! Perfect score! I really didn't expect the transition and it transitioned so well. The music and graphics all worked and it was a really great twist. It was a bit short and the timing on the shots were a bit off, but overall this game was amazing! Good job!

Developer

Omg thank you so much!! Thankyou so much for the kind words and fair enough with the feedback there- we're glad to hear enjoyed! :)

Absolutely incredible! This was so far my favorite game in the jam! The design is smart and it's really fun to play! The issues it had were really small, and you can tell they're only there because you ran out of time (the game stopped working after I played it for 10 minutes or so, just a black room and the music, and then it closed). But this is definitely one of the games I want to see more in the future, I hope you expand it, I'll be there to play it! : )

-EDIT- I just figured out the lying part, and it's genius! Awesome work guys!

Developer

We're so glad you enjoyed! And it means a lot that you enjoyed the game even before you figured out the lying part! Thankyou so much for playing and for this feedback!

Your game was awesome btw- just finished :D (I feel spooked haha)

I was enjoying the game so much, that it didn't even occur to me that there was an entire other aspect to it! : D In fact I before I edited my comment I asked you if there was a lying aspect to the game, because that was the only thing that was missing, then I gave it another go just for fun and found the other thing (I don't want to spoil it for the people who hasn't played) and it blew my mind hahhaa. Again, great job!

Developer

Wow haha I'm glad you came back for it!! And thanks again! :D

WHAT THE HELL
That one was actually mind-blowing, I don't even have the words to describe it (and I shouldn't, because spoilers).
BUT, there is one little tiny problem: perhaps the tip to finish the game should be in-game and not in the readme? Other than that,  this game is nearly perfect for this gamejam! Surely one of the best entries I've played so far! Congratulations on your project!

Developer(+1)

(SPOILERS AHEAD PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED)
Thank you so much for your glowing feedback!

Glad you enjoyed it so much. We were tossing and turning on how best to make the player break out, we went with the spoiler in the read me as we wanted to stick to a very literal definition of the theme, if the game itself told you about how to break out then it's not lying to you. We might have gone a little overboard on that one but the last room on the filtered levels is just a box and no way to progress otherwise. The readme was very much a last minute "What if they don't find it" moment.

(SPOILERS)

This is the best execution of the you-are-actually-the-bad-guy-twist I've seen in this jam! The transition from 2D to 3D was SO smooth and the main game was interesting and unique too. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, we spent a lot of time trying to get that transition feel down. It was interesting trying to balence time between development of in game, transition and out of game and I feel like the out of game got the short end of the stick but I guess that makes sense as it's out of the game.

Submitted

Wow this is such an inventive game! One of the best uses of the theme so far! I thought the graphics and music were great and really added to the mood (especially after the 'twist'). Only (very small) issue for me was the auto quitting - for a second I thought I actually crashed my game lol. Also the player felt a bit sluggish to move at points but I guess it makes sense once you realise what's actually happening! All in all a really solid entry and I loved playing it! Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you for your comment! This is our first propper jam and getting comments such as these has really made our day.

The auto quitting was a poor decision, we came down to crash or goto menu and chose crash as it seemed more fitting given the theme but totally the wrong call, which is a good learning from the experience. Another good learning was to test on lower end computers before submitting, I don't think I am gonna make that mistake again.

Submitted

The game is liar. There's not other word to describe best this game !

This is the first game who really surprise me in the jam. That's really cool what you've made dudes, great jobs. Great team !

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad we could surprise you!

Submitted

Wow, that was fantastic! Such a great take on the theme. I really enjoyed the way you used both audio and visuals to really cement the transition.. Thanks for the great submission!

Developer

Thanks so much :D

I liked the different capabilities of the spaceship (shield, different firing modes). The visuals with all colours and particles are pleasant to look at ^^ It's a nice and pleasant game =D

Developer

Thanks! I was quite a fan of yours too :) I hope you found the less pleasant part about ours though (It's kinda where the theme actually kicks in haha)

Submitted

Interesting idea, liked the graphics too.

Game ran at low FPS on my PC @1440p, I had to lower the resolution.

Developer

ahh damn, we should've tested on a few different machines :S thanks for the feedback though!

Submitted

Very nice idea and execution. Congrats!

Developer
