I love the concept. If you wanted to expand this, it would be possible and there are so many new types of items that you can add to the game to make it more interesting

This is really impressive! I enjoyed the grab/stash mechanic and how each item gives a specific set of stats. I think this could be expanded into a really neat full-length game, and it might be really cool to see the stats of the upcoming enemies so you can plan to health/buff up before that encounter. I also love how you allow the player to reorganize their inventory at any time, and I think you could add some cool mechanics to that such as being able to access items near the top of your backpack faster versus other items that are buried at the bottom of the pile. Great work on this, and I hope you add more to it after the jam!

Very cool game! :D

So it is a puzzle game disguised as an adventure game. So clever.

It was a bit tough but super fun to play! I really enjoyed and played it for a long time there.

Very fun concept! Managed to defeat the second enemy on my second try... And only figured out I could rotate items afterwards!

I liked how the amount of items you receive, was higher than what you could handle. It enforced me to prioritize between attack and health, but also allowed me to keep juggling items by dragging them back to the top of the screen. I think the juggling would be an even better mechanic if some items in the backpack would be consumed after use (for example, a potion that heals instead of increasing total HP). Then the player could keep juggling items to restock his backpack after a consumable was used up. This would also add something to do during a fight with an enemy, which was currently passive.

I enjoyed the color palette of the game and the music was soothing.

The text log felt a bit useless since you didn't have time to look at it during gameplay anyway, but it was a nice touch to read during downtime.

All in all, fun idea and great execution!

Brutal with it's difficulty, but still ended up going several rounds~
It's a bit frustrating losing items during reshuffle when a boss shows but hey.
Nice job~

Really great concept and execution. Presentation as a whole on this is fantastic

I like how it was mentioned next to your stats what an item does. Arranging them was definitely tense

However, I feel like the game relies a little too much on randomness. It was kinda impossible to plan ahead at times ( imo ). Unfortunately in the chaos of things it's hard to tell what you really need or not. Maybe everything was moving a little too fast.

On top of that, I tried 5 times and I never really managed to beat the second enemy lol. Most probably just a skill issue on my part, but if I'm being honest, I feel like the second enemy does WAY too much damage sometimes. If not that, then I feel like the  crystals should give you more health cus I feel like the amount they give is way too small.

I also feel like there should have been some sort of indicator for when an enemy was going to appear, because I didn't look at the text events at the bottom at all tbh because of all the chaos lol.

Honestly, take everything I've said here with a grain of salt because all of it might just be a giant skill issue on my part lol

Like I said, I really love the concept, and I absolutely love how snappy the actual grid and item management here feels. The atmosphere created through the sfx and music as well also feel just as tense as the overall gameplay loop. But I feel like the game really needs balancing. Regardless of it all though, this is definitely an awesome job for something made in two days, especially for this sort of concept.

That was a nice chilling game, good job

Thats a really cool game that seems very polished! Remind me of the 2048 game haha!

Had a lot of fun playing, would have loved to be able to read so fast haha :D

Great game, cool concept and nice submission to this game jam!

Congratulations!

Really cool concept and its really fun to read all the different things my character got up to. Awesome game!

Excellent use of the theme. I did a similar concept as well with having the story aspect out of your control. Great work!

Fun concept, I like the idea of balancing your desire for gold with the short-term need to stay alive by hoarding up equipment. What really impressed me was a lot of the subtle polish, the flavor text of the adventurer’s journey through the dungeon, the musical cues when defeating an enemy, the 3D effect of the dungeon doors closing and opening when beginning and ending a run – just a lot of little details that go a long way.

Really enjoyed the concept here, and it's very well polished with the tight time limit - really great work

Fun and simple gameplay with the organising items mechanic. Its fun trying to min max and fix in as much loot as possible.

I love the concept, and the game had a chill vibe I really liked. I wish I could see what different items did to add some more strategy. I also felt there was no time to read the interesting narration at the bottom because I had to focus on catching items. I feel like a cool larger release could be made from this, nice work!

Interesting. Wish it told you what items did :( anyways good game

Spent a bit to much time playing this one, Solid game! It would be a blast to see if some items gave bonuses to things other than just stats, like maybe a potion that can save you from death once kind of like a fairy in a bottle

Developer

Seen quite a few suggestions for item effects, sounds like a pretty dope idea for a potential post-jam version. Thanks a ton for playing!

I like the concept and the artwork is phenomenal! It would be cool if the items did more than just giving plain stats, but for the time we had is very cool!
