This was kind of fun! It could perhaps be a bit more challenging, but the core idea is there and well presented. I love the art and sound design.

Thank you for the feedback!
I agree that the difficulty could be Improved, we wanted to implement more rooms in which you would have to sneak past enemies without being noticed to progress, but because of the limitations we couldn't finish in time.

The game is super chill. Maybe some more navigation challenge would have been nice to increase the replayability, but I enjoyed filling out my map.
An option to drag and drop rooms on the map would be a great quality-of-life improvement. Because when you realise you started in the wrong place and you have to move everything, it can be tideous.
Or maybe a mechanic where you place rooms and pathways yourself independantly insted of having to scroll a long list of every possible room, would be nice too.
Also i'm not sure if it's a bug, but on the first level i was able to go through walls, but i didn't mind since it helped me understand the core concept faster.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that a drag and drop feature would be a nice improvement, and yeah for some reason there is a weird bug that during the first level sometimes the collider of the tilemap doesn't apply correctly, glad you enjoyed it anyways! We'll consider the suggestions for a fixed version we plan on releasing by the end of the month.

This was fun to play! It was challenging at first trying to get oriented. I feel like the percentage below the map isn't completely necessary, and it could be better for the player to have to be fully confident in its precision before going to the main character instead of giving it away with a 100%. Great game, great pixel art, good music and sfx! (the enemy was scary too I didn't expect it to actually chase me)

Thank you for playing the game!! And thanks for the constructive review.
I couldn't agree more about the percentage below. In fact that percentage was not supposed to be there, we added that text just for debugging purposes but at the end we forgot to remove it lol.

The concept is amazing, really creative! Filling maps is usually something I enjoy very much in other games.

The graphics and music are nice, and props for making a game with high replayability in this short amount of time! Congratz!

Thank you so much for the kind comment!! 😁

This game looks absolutely GORGEOUS!
The music and gameplay were very relaxing and I have never played a game like this one before.
This game lacks a little bit of explanation for the sprinting and the goal of the game. Even after having a 100% map I haven't understood if there was a real ending to the game.
All in all a very good, relaxing experience with a few tiny flaws.

Thank you! We had the idea of the map building and we wanted to expand on that to maybe something like Papers Please where you have to get money to sustain your family, but the time wasn't nearly enough and we barely even managed to finish what we have hahs, and there isn't really an ending, you can interact with the hero to sell your map and then it justs resets it and lets you play again.

This game looks really good. Player speed wasn't high enough, and there wasn't enough incentive not to keep the map open all the time other than to look at a fox with swag. Very nice

Developer

Hahaha, thanks! And yeah that's true, we didn't think about it and didn't get the time to finish polishing everything, the procedural map generation part took way too long for a 2 day gamejam
