the ui are solid! great level of polish!

Very original and polished game. All the assets match perfectly with each other, readable font and super crisp UI.

As for improvements. Maybe you could add a name generator for the items with prefixes and such so that the items have the feel of being from an RPG? Also, the output item need more highlight, at the beginning I was creating items way above the required level because I didn't notice there was an item level.

the art was really nice and the idea was something completely out of left field that i never would have thought of, and made for some really fun moments that only this game could have achieved, despite this there are still some gripes i have,  such as some criteria being too picky (such as level requirement needing to be exact, instead of around the right level) which made it a bit frustrating at times, and also the fact that there was no clear goal to work towards (i couldnt see the rating at all times so i never had a clue how well i was doing)

these small gripes aside it was really interesting and would love to see this idea developed and polished further

Thanks for the feedback ! We didn’t have time to implement a counter that tells you how many adventurers are left, which we plan to do when we can update the game. Out of curiosity, did you see the end screen with your final score after the 10 adventurers, or did you quit before because you didn’t know if there was an end ?

i never ended up getting past the 10 adventurers because i assumed the game would keep going, but i knew there was a results screen. I felt that it would have been better if it told the player how they were doing as they were playing, to give feedback and such

This is awesome. Love it. Nice touch the bar at the bottom of screen that indicates the time left! Great job, my friends.

Such a lovely game! I really love the UI and everything looks very slick and nice to play. The music and sfx are amazing too. We made a similar thing but as a shopkeeper instead and implemented a survivability sim instead.

I absolutely loved this game! The art fits the game really well and all of the different combinations make this game really fun. Great game, and I hope you can check mine out too :)

Cool game. After playing for a while, you start to understand the combinations you can make.

The game had a perfect idea and well executed. One of the game sI had most fun with. The art is just amazing the game is easy to understand without any explanation after less than a run and the game has a lot of potential. Its really polished too and music and sounds are also really good. Nice job!!!

I really like the whole concept. Everything is so intuitive and easy to learn. I can see this being a smaller system in a larger game. I imagine maybe a roguelike game with this kind of mechanic. I see this game as a proof of concept for a system with amazing potential. Well done!

Really nice art and cool idea! The first hero was a bit too difficult though. Nice job making this in 48 hours!

Took a second to get a handle of the game mechanics, but once I did, I had a fun time; great job with the art, music, and general polish of the game

Very nice piece! This is the first entry I've given a five rating to from browsing this GJ, and your art, music, and gameplay fit just right. The gameplay is very clear, the feedback comes quickly, and the interesting NPC dialogue design kept me trying to try to find more interesting content. My favourite part is that switching between options can only be done by scrolling quickly, and with the NPCs coming at me at the bottom of the game, I'm often scrambling to deliver a not-quite-perfect solution, which is a tense but joyful feeling that I find very entertaining!

That was really cute, I loved it!

Very original and creative concept. Presented really well. I would pick this as a favorite if I was Mark Brown.

A brilliant Please-type game. Love the review screen at the end. Great work!

The game is cool and very enjoyable and the art was nice but I think you forgot to make the name change as for me it just said name the entire time. overall great game

Developer

yeah you can actually see the name at the top, but we forgot to remove the « name » placeholders in the middle. It took us a surprising amount of time to catch it, even after a few post-jam updates 😂

Great take on the theme! Loved the art and found the combinations + time worked well enough to feel fair but challenging.
