I love your take on the twist, and the art is amazing!! If you polish the game after the jam I think it will be amazing!
If you can find the time, would you please check out our game as well?!
Our twist of the theme is that a critic tries to play your unfinished game, and you fight from inside the computer to make him like it.
Thanks!! I already have another game project that I'm working on but now you've said that I kinda do wanna polish this game haha. Of course I will play your game the idea sounds really cool!! I plan to at least play everyone's game who was kind enough to leave a comment.
i really love the art, the atmosphere too. the art and sound feel polished!
but yeah, as you said, the movement is a bit stiff
anyway, great job!
Thank you!!! I wish I could have found more of a balance between creating the art and working on game play but time was my enemy :')
Really funny interpertation of the theme! The movement felt really bad but once i got used to it it felt better. The art and sound design is fantastic! I would usually have my expectations for visuals and SFX low for short game jams like this but this really exceeded that! The game is really short tho. Good luck on your future project's!
Very atmospheric, the hand-draw style, along with the great postprocessing and audio, created a very dense spooky atmosphere, I Love It! Although I did have a little trouble with the platforming with the jump being so fast but that might just be my lack of platforming experience \_(0-0)_/
Thank you so much!! I put alot of time into making the games visuals and general ambiance. It is definitely not your platforming skills, I didn't do the best job with the characters movement. I wish I could have spent more time focusing on it but I my strengths are definitely art not programming
Man, I would have spent a bit more time on the movement. The gravity feels a bit high and the controls are a bit delayed (maybe that's what you meant in the description?). But also more time on movement means less time for this amazing art so........... yeah well played.
I was honestly really torn between what to focus on. I knew about those problems but wasn't sure I would be able to fix them in time and do the art to the quality I wanted. Thankyou for being so forgiving of my poor coding skills :')
Hey man, the amount of different skills you have to have to participate in a game jam is so vast that you are bound to be worse at one than the other! Don't sweat it, you did an amazing job!
the atmospere is amazing, its very dark and the only light are from the tvs (and thats complimented by the art)
Thankyou!! I'm really glad you like it, I put alot of work into the atmosphere
i can tell
First game of the ones I've played that I felt like making fullscreen & fully diving into that world for a second
I'm really glad you like it!! My focus this jam was purely on creating an immersive atmosphere so that means alot!!
nice idea, amazing graphics, but the controlls feel a bit clunky
Thankyou!! It's my first solo jam and my programming skills are still questionable. I was hoping no one would notice the character controller being so janky if I made the art good enough haha
A really great aesthetic & you've clearly worked hard on the atmosphere. Well done!
Thanks so much!! I'm glad people are noticing that I put so much work into the atmosphere
A bit hard to control, but aesthetically the game looks insanely good!
Thanks! I really I wish I could have got the character movement more snappy
Great art and ambiance!
thankyou!! i put alot of effort into it
Great arts
thanks!!!
