Good job on the game!

Developer

Thank you D, I really appreciate :)

Good start for a game
The water plants moving with the character spoilt the parallex of the backgrounds.
You need to put instructions on the screen or at the very least the top of the  description as I had no idea about x when i 1st played.
I managed to portal then sounded like dying  in one dimension but continued in 2nd but when back to the 1st I was gone......
Good pontential so carry on with it

Developer

you are absolutely right D, next time I will work on that, and for the portal it's having some bugs and weird issues happening hopefully to be fixed in the near future. :)

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea on having to tap X before the portal appears a little bit ahead. I'm sure that can be extended into other mechanics. Fun game overall, congratulations!

Developer

Thank you D for the feedback and I am glad you like the game :)

I like the design of the character - he looks cool, sleek, and quick! ⚡ I think having the gameplay reflect that quickness would make the game feel more responsive as it feels slow for my tastes. Good job on completing the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you D for the feedback I will try to work on those areas and I am glad you like some parts of the game :)

Gool game art, funny game

Developer

Thank you D for the feedback and I am glad you like Bob :)

I like the player art style. The jumping could have been better. And another funny thing I noticed is that the background has a nice parallax effect, but the grass is not moving ( it's always there and creates an effect like it is moving with the player).  Other than that I like the sounds, art assets.

Developer

Thank you for bringing your suggestions to the table I will work on that and I really appreciate for playing the game :)

That was a fun and simple game. I really liked the use of sounds, especially the ambiance in the forest. Since it was stated that the game has some bugs. ı am not gonna talk about those. Only minus(not really a minus but i don't have the word for it) for me was that player speed was a bit slow.

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and bringing your suggestions to the table, maybe I would have implemented the logic of player speed increasing over time anyway I will try to update that iff I willl continue working on this game. thanks :D.

That was fun. I like that the gameplay is different between the two dimensions, and that you actually have to jump into a portal to get there; you can't just tap x to immediately get out of trouble. The foreground wasn't moving, I'm guessing that's a bug. Overall well done!

Developer

I really appreciate for taking your the time to leave me feedback that means a lot I will try to work on those areas if I will decide to work on the game further, thank you for playing and bringing your suggestions to the table :)

Pretty good Endless Runner! I like that you can bug out into the other dimension if things get hairy.

I would suggest the difficulty ramp up over time, via the player running faster. Also, since you have background parallax elements (which look excellent), I feel like your foreground elements, those lilypads, should also be scrolling.

Thanks for the game!

The foreground weeds can use a parallax effect too. I can jump so much higher in the "fire" dimension. That makes it easier to run there and not switch back. Is that by design? Nice work overall.

Developer (1 edit)

I am glad you like the game, I was hoping I will have spare time to tune up some values but unfortunately I was running out of time, but I will try to work on those areas. Thank you for playing the game :D.

Cool one 👍.

The details on the backgrounds, animations and the effects are nicely done. Also didn't expected the other dimension, what a contrast😯

Developer

I really appreciate D and I am glad you like the game :)

I though to myself that this was a much more relaxing endless runner than another one I played earlier in the jam, then I found out I could switch dimensions and found myself in a world of fiery death!

The parallax background in the forest-y area is nicely done except the foreground doesn't also use it, causing that to stand out. The speed of the running is actually quite sedate in both dimensions, so even when there's fire everywhere there isn't a sense of danger or excitement compared to if things were going twice the speed.

I really like the death sound the character makes, by the way!

Thank you D for playing the game and leaving the suggestion, I will try to work on those areas if at all I will decided to work further on this game I am glad you like the game D. Your feedback is what will make this game stand out in the future. Thank you :)

Really nice game, especially great that you did not use any assets for it. Good job! :)

The hitboxes sometimes feel a little off, like I would not expect any collision from the trajectory of the player. Also, the second dimension has no challange at all, so I find no reason to switch back. I found some issue with the diamonds too. Sometimes when 3 of them were next to each other, then I only picked up 2.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for taking the time to play the game and leaving the feedback I really appreciate it, I did notice that bug on the diamond I tried to work on it, unfortunately, I didn't find the cause of that issue and because of time I decided to leave it like for later, I was wondering when the diamond is spawned the script behavior was getting deactivate by itself and is the collider. I will try to work on that after the jam vote and I will try to work on the game, and try to change things up, thank you for spotting those out :)

Submitted(+1)

Well...it looks easy at first...but darn...when you get the hang of switching you think it is easier...nope :D Nicely done...

Developer

Thank you very much :D, I really appreciate the feedback :)

Good job on finishing the game. The sound design is pretty good.

Developer

Thank you :D for the feedback and I am glad you like part of the game that means a lot a to me :)

Nice game although its strange how boxes and barrels kill you because normally in games they are harmlesss object. Still, cool game :)

Developer

You are absolutely right D, I thought of changing a lot of things in this game after the jam I am just hoping it will be able to look better than it is now all thanks to you guys for the feedback I am able to see how games work, I really appreciate your time you spared to play the game and spotting out the issues :)

Nice ambient! The game is extremely simple, but it works. You can add some gameplay mechanics to make it less repetitive in the future. And probably levels should last less

Developer

I will take note of that  D, thanks for spotting that out :)

Yay nice one

Developer

Thanks D, I am glad you like it :)

I really enjoyed the music and the cool parallax background in the game! The only thing I think could be improved is the character's speed. It would be awesome if the character moved a bit faster. Other than that, the idea was executed really well!

Developer

I am glad you like the part of the game, I will definitely improve that, thank you for spotting that out :)
