Huge potential; could be more in the future; great concept; great execution. The visuals are amazing, and the music and SFX fit well, and the juice is there, and it feels great. Good job! :D
Thanks :)
An interesting core mechanic packed with a whole lot of style! The trails, background effects, the fluid pixel animations — this is just so pleasing and satisfying to play, with lots of room for expansion and future development if that's something you're interested in. New enemy types, level variants, and different ways to use the two dimensions could elevate this from a fun, short arcade experience to a deeply engaging action game. As it stands, though, it's already dripping with polish and was a delightful surprise!
Thanks for all the feedback! Im happy that you enjoyed it :)
Looks and feels pretty great. I felt like quite the badass once I figured how everything worked and was flying around taking out enemies; the little screen shake and explosion bits are quite effective.
This would massively benefit from some UI, I think. Both health and some kind of indicator for the cooldown on seeing the other dimension would be nice.
Overall, though, this is very nice, especially considering the limited time you had to work on it! Good work!
Pretty good, thanks for sharing!
Nice effort m8 ;)
Thanks :)
This was really fun! The dashing feels so smooth and responsive and the switching dimensions to see where everything is is such a neat mechanic. The sound design and the art work really combine together with the mechanics to make this a fun experience that makes you want to come back and keep playing!
The only complaint was a lack of player health visibility so I wasn't sure when I was going to die. Very well done - very fun game!
Thanks for the feedback! It may be difficult to see but the player seperates into smaller parts as it looses health, sorry if that was too subtle :)
really nice game, nice graphics, sound and gameplay! good job, well done!
would be nice, if you would check out and rate my game and give me some feedback :)
Thanks! I rated and commented on your game :)
Very Fun game. Took me a bit to realize I needed to hold down the space to get a good view. The game is very fun. Once I saw I got the bonus for hitting a bunch in a row. I loved this game. Great Job!
Thanks :)
Very fun gameplay and great art!
I love the art! Overall a really nice game.
cool game with wonderful "edgey" pixelgraphics. there is a surprising level of polish in the way the game feels - it's very satisfying! I think you could go even further with that switching-between-two-dimension idea, but at the same time, I respect that you kept it simple and stylish.
Thanks for the feedback :)
Not sure about your age, but by the desciption I would guess at least a bit younger (sorry if I'm mistaken). Just have to say KEEP IT UP! Amazing idea and I liked the gameplay and the whole idea of it. I would see that this could be something, add some powerUps, boss battles or something and for sure it gets even better!
I enjoyed that you could only for a very brief moment look into the dimension and had a cooldown on it, which made it more difficult. At first I really didn't realise what to do, so a small tutorial in the start. Could even be the main menu where you just say press space, and the play, quit, high score would show up and you would have to fly through it to start or quit or go to high score. It wouldn't need a proper tutorial but that way player would have to learn (You could have a bit more help for the player in that menu and it would make them straightaway using your game mechanics)
Thanks for the feedback! A boss battle would definately make it much better. I really like the idea for the main menu, the reason for not having a main menu was for players to go straight onto the action but your idea keeps that, I might add that after the game jam is finished :)
The style of this game reminded me of Luftrausers a little bit, maybe check it out if you've never played it, it's a tremendous study in gamefeel which you obviously value and just plain fun. I enjoyed your entry, thanks
Thanks! Ive seen luftrauser but never played it, but I did base the visuals a bit on it :)
The music and sounds are fine, the art and the animation they good too, and the background visuals are fine they give the game a feel, at first I didn't know how to play like you can use the left mouse button to dash maybe giving the instruction to the play will be better never the less the game is very addictive and I like the animations on the player, good job on that one and of course one thing I like the controls of using a mouse to direct your player it's really responsive.
Thanks for the feedback! I tried making tutorials with animations at the bottom but it might not have been very clear, thanks for commenting :)
you may consider sharing the link with me D.
Fantastic game! Once I got a handle on the mechanics it was a lot of fun.
This was actually really awesome! the controls felt smooth and it was just a really fun game to play, Well done!!
Thanks for the feedback :)
man what a polished fun game, only thing missing is a bit more touch on UI and tutorial. i wish I can see my life total. also would be nice to tell me that I can achieve combo kill. overall great game.
Thanks! You can see your life however its on the player so it might not be too visible but I can understand why having life as UI could help with readability. Thanks for commenting :)
Great entry! A good idea with the enemies only being visible in a second dimension and the cooldown on that ability. It felt really satisfying to charge and slam into the hidden enemies! I also like the art style and the crunchy sounds when destroying enemies a lot! I had fun!
Best score: 37
Game feel is great! and I like how simple and engaging it is. I got attacked out of what felt like nowhere though, so I got a bit confused why I'm losing health
Extremely well done simple gamejam game, would fit really well for just a short 2 day jam tbh
Really fun, aesthetically pleasing, the sounds are really crunchy and satisfying
Would be cool if you got the dimension switch back immediately after a kill, but maybe thats a design choice so that you have to remember everyone around you and do a combo blindly, very cool nonetheless
