Really cool mechanics! I found it a bit hard to press the hit buttons while moving since their near the move keys, but I really liked the flighting, and how each enemy reacted in a different way. For a bit I didn't realize the choose weapons were buttons because they had a really small colout change when you hovered over them, but when I did I really enjoyed changing my loadout, scissors and spear is my favourite :) really good job!
The visuals and aesthetics are great! However I though the game was a bit simple, as it was a metroid vania with not much to it. I see theres some bossfights later however it was hard to get to them since the game is hard and a bit repetative. However, I really liked the fish head and how the fish swam in the save points, and the music and sound were great, keep i up!
Nice game, the artword is great! I had a few issues though, heres some of my feedback:
-Sometiems when I died though I would be comfused because theres no death sound effect or animations to show when you died or when something is killing you. For example the spike that falls falls really quickly with no sound effect or particles once it hits the ground so I couldn't tell why I died, and the enemies kill me from quite far away, but there is no attack animation or sound effet so it confused me
-When I die from falling there is a platform just below so it feels like I have fallen onto something rather than into the void
-The shooting block feels a bit weak since the sound effect sound like a high piched tick
These really are just small details though. The movement and platforming felt really smooth and satisfying and there were a lot of great sound effects too, really well done on the atmosphee aswell. This game is very polished and made very well, good job :)

The gameplay is a bit on the easy side, but yeah, as you said well I wanted to be careful to make sure most people could finish the game in a reasonable time or not get too frustrated since its a game jam game. This game is really addictive, I could have ended up playing it for hours (I had to stop myself). Really well done, the gameplay is really fun, the art is great, so is the audio. It was a bit slow (but still fun) at first, until I got the double tile mining upgrade and the mining lazer and then it sped up really fast. now I look at the screenshots and there is even more content that I missed! How did you manage to do all this? Very impressive. You could release this game, even without adding content and polish, and it would still do well. (I fear to imagine what the game would be like if you turned it into a full release :)
Thanks for all the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed our game! Sorry about the soft lock bug, we didn't quite manage to fix that, although your idea of making it flatter would have definitely worked. A move based breakable block would have been interesting! Nice idea. And you found the debug cookies! They were for testing so we could quickly complete the game😂 :)
Cool game! I like the UI, it looks nice and its responsive. I managed to become immortal and have negative healh, maybe you didn't check if the players health is less than zero but just equal to zero? I'm not sure but other than that it was good time, and I liked the pixel art and backround aswell! One piece of feedback I would have is that the shooting doesn't feel very impactful, some screen shake and a deeper shoot sound effect would make the shoot feel even more poweverl. Still, I really like the shoot effect with the line and particles, very cool! And well done on the game, its very well made :)
