Fun single-screen puzzle. Reminds me of the times I've had to do things like this IRL.
Well done!
Thanks for playing and your comment :)
With the dragging physics and the snapping sound effects/animations, the gameplay felt super polished and responsive! I really appreciated having the UI in the corner that showed what connection type the dongle end was and the ending was hilarious. Great job!
Glad to hear that you liked my game. I have tried to make my games more responsive and with better feedback for some time now, so great that you notice it :)
You are giving be PTDD(Post Traumatic Dongle Disorder).....I've seen things....
PTDD oh no XD
I love this game! This is amazing, the humor is solid, the art is great for a 48hr game jam and wow, I honestly think watching someone else play this game is more fun than playing this game!
Thanks! Glad to hear you liked the game :) I have had a lot of fun watching people play it on streams.
Awesome! I had a ton of fun with this! Very great idea! Congrats! Fav++
wow, another Levi! Glad that you had fun playing and liked the game that much :D
Where are you from?
Denmark
The situation itself is already really fun to me, such an unique take on the theme!
Like others said it took me a while to figure out that rmb disconnects the dongles.
I enjoyed fumbling around while everyone was waiting for my presentation! :D
Glad to hear that you found the game funny and likes how it fits the theme. I actually wanted to have a little pop up over the dongle showing how to disconnect, but ran out of time :)
That was a lot of fun! at first I thought it was unsolvable when you made a connection until i read in the description you can disconnect with RMB. I love how you showed the connection types on the top corner too! Great work!
Thanks for your nice comment and for playing :D
Pure genius. I love every minute and it took me far too long to work out. Great job!
Glad to hear you liked it :D
I love that idea ! The gameplay is pretty simple but it's so funny and reminds so many irl situations... And it's a perfect and unique take on the theme !
Thanks for your nice comment. I played your game as one of the first in the jam. I love the art style and it was fun. You did a great job.
This game really nails the feeling of being a "toy." Its especially satisfying hearing the click as the different dongles snap together.
Thanks for playing. I went through a lot of sounds to find the right once so glad to hear you liked them :)
Great game, I watched on the GMTK Live Stream and I had to give it a shot.
Funny, well polished and prefectly fits the theme. I only played it once so Im not sure if the dongles change randomly or if you made different levels but the game is great none the less. KUDOS
hope you have some time to review mine as well.
If I had the time I would have loved to make the dongles randomly generated, but that would require a lot of new code so decided to focus on the sounds and animations instead. Nice to hear that you liked it anyway :) I also played your game, liked it, and left some feedback.
Very original and fun gameplay! The ending was quality and the artwork is very nice.
Thanks for the nice comment. I was honestly a little nervous that the ending would fall flat, so I am glad to hear you liked it.
I really enjoyed this game on the stream, it's a fun 3 minute joke for everyone, and could really be a good little mobile game! The simplistic art style gave it this really satirical feel, and so far, I have never seen this take on the theme on any other game. Good job!
5 stars - Fun
5 stars - Originality
5 stars - Presentation
3x5 that is so nice of you, thanks! Glad to hear that you liked the art style and how it fits the theme. It is always a risk making a funny game so I am also glad that you found it a good joke :)
Definitely the best concept of "Joined Together" in the jam I've seen so far. I felt it was a really cool iteration on a jigsaw puzzle! Excellent ending made me laugh, hope to see this concept expanded into other levels where you have to connect a different series of cables together because the sound adaptor isn't working for the projector, or it doesn't have a headphone jack so you need to connect 50 different dongles together. By the end of the game you would have a giant tangled mess of wires on a desk!
Maybe having a time limit and a better way to rotate items around would make this even more entertaining?
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game and thanks for the great feedback. I like the idea of having multiple lines of dongles for different types of signals. A hardcore mode with a time limit could also be a nice addition. Again thanks for playing and your feedback.
Absolutely brilliant. Well done!
Thanks :D
Great game! Something from real life that could add some variety is people grabbing adapters and telling you "THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED!" and creating some chaos.
Thanks for playing. That is a great idea! It would be frustrating as hell, but also very fun and realistic.
One of the most unique and best games I played during this gamejam. Love it
Reminds me of one LTT video when they tried the same thing (it didn't work)
I am so glad to hear that you think it is one of the best games you have played in the jam. Thanks! I have watched a lot of LTT but haven't seen that one. Now I need to find it! :)
It wasn't a main part of the video, but here is the link: youtu.be/QsdqfcCx5C8
It's at the end
This is sooooo gooooooood omg
Thanks a loooot! Glad you liked it :)
Incredibly unique idea executed in a really fun, silly way. Gives me some nostalgia for the huge "physics-based" wave of indie games from 10 or so years ago. Awesome work!!
I remember that wave of games. Great time :D Glad to hear that you enjoyed the game. It means a lot to read nice comments like this.
it was original but very short and cant say that it was super fun. It was a little challenge thats all
Sorry to hear that you didn't find it that fun. Hope you still got something out of it. I got some good feedback from watching you play it on stream so thanks for that. It helps a lot when designing future games :)
Seemed like you spent more time on the art than on designing a fun gameplay, thats all. For gamejams i think its a good idea to focus on design for the majority of time and then polish up the experience a little. But thats just my opinion :D
