I love the idea and presentation! I would have liked to be able to drop a cloud type without using it and pardon the pun but the controls felt a bit too floaty to me. Overall you did a good job and I would like to see it fleshed out more!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I do hope we can expand on the idea in future :)

Your thoughts on the cloud downgrade (clowngrade?) and the controls are noted and we shall certainly try out a bunch of options! Cheers!

Very original game! at first i was a bit confused how to join with other clouds. As other have said shelter was hard to keep up. The game bugged for me after each failed attempt had to restart (no worries just something i noticed). Maybe mouse instead of wasd would be more manageable for me. But regardless a great entry!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and the compliments!

You're absolutely right on everything you mention. Unfortunately we only noticed and fixed the game over bug after the submission deadline + grace period so sorry about that :(

Mouse instead of wasd is an excellent suggestion, we shall try it, thanks!

Really cool idea, I like the aesthetics of the game. The sprites changing according to the amount of water they have is a nice detail. Well done!

Developer

Thanks very much, we're glad you liked it! :)

this is a neat take on a management game and i love how expressive your little cloud dude is! shelter was the hardest thing for me to manage since there were so many storm clouds at once. i didn't realize you could merge with multiple clouds of the same type until i figured it out by accident, but it was a nice surprise at least! i agree with Jornam that it could be a sweet zen game 🙂

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Definitely a good point about it not being clear that you can merge up to three cloud levels, but I'm glad we gave you a nice surprise :)

Did you know you can blow storm clouds away whilst being a windy cloud?

Submitted(+1)

that part i did know LOL, in my case i think reacted too slowly to combat the storm in time and i used up all my available windy clouds while making up for it

Developer(+1)

There is certainly a lot of thing we can do to communicate the features better. And there certainly needs to be enough windy clouds during the storm in order to combat it - something to look at.

Your feedback is invaluable so thank you very much :)

I think this game has real potential as a sort of "zen" Dorfromantik kind of game. Maybe if there are some progression mechanics instead of a threat. I'd definitely buy pay money for something like this :) (P.S. after the second storm nothing really happened, and when we got all stats to 100 nothing happened, but that's a game jam right?)

Developer

Thanks for those great suggestions, and for playing our game!

Yes unfortunately there is no "win" scenario at the moment, but your idea about progression mechanics would certainly progress the game and give a sense of achievement :)

I had a similar idea during the initial brainstorming when the theme was released but we went with something else - very nice idea and very nice implementation, I like you game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your praise :D I am glad we didn't end up doing the same idea, but now I shall have to go and play your game!

pretty unique resource management game

Developer(+1)

Thanks you kindly! I hope to expand it further in the future :)

Never thought being a cloud would be fun or cute, but you made it both!

Developer

Incredibly kind comments, thank you so much!

Really great idea and cute style.  I think I insta-died when shelter got to a certain point though.  I couldn't tell whether I successfully merged with a thundercloud or not.  If you do go on with it, it might be nice to do an initial call-out on that start screen to where to look at your resources and what they should look like ideally.  ^_^
Thanks for the game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the compliments! Apologies, the shelter thing may be a bug. We also made it fairly difficult in that you need to blow away at least some storm clouds to survive. Perhaps we should loosen that ;D

Thanks for the feedback and ideas - we shall definitely improve the visual when you merge with clouds to make it clearer. And yes that's a great idea to provide images as part of the instructions. Thanks very much!

I like the style and the god game spirit which emerge from it.

Thank you for the compliments!

oh woah, interesting concept, never played anything like this, but it became very easy after i figured to float in the stream of rain water as I replenished the water.

Would be pretty hard without it haha

Developer

Thanks for playing and your lovely comments :)

Yes I think we should have made the cloud heights even more variable. An improvement for the future!
