A bit rough around the edges, but it's clear you had a good time making this game and getting funky with it! It's certainly a fun idea and a unique take on the jam's theme :)

I was often a bit more lost than I would hope as the world felt pretty large and I often had no idea of where to do or if I was doing the right thing most of the time. I certainly think a bit more direction ( perhaps a compass ) would help better drive the players attention

Nice entry though :)

Good idea. Though I gotta say the color choice is a bit dangerous, because it is too contrast and hurts my eyes. Also yeah, the wall tile with torch has no collider.

Yeah, I noticed as well. Unfortunately, during world generation, the walls overlapped each other and the autodelete script to get rid of redundant walls had issues that were mostly caused by colliders in the corners. Post-jam this issue will be addressed but during the jam we didn't have time to fix it.

Love the concept behind it! I think it has potential! Good job ^^

I really like the Idea. Unfortunately I can't download it so I can't hear the sounds, but the gameplay and art are great especilly for a 48 h Game Jam. Great game overall.

I love the idea! Decent execution for a 48h jam, but I would have liked to know a few things while playing (enemies, portal, location or at least some direction). I think there's some potential here, post jam!

This seems to be a common request. Post-jam I will add a little UI pointer that shows you which way the portal(s) are.

Really fun idea, a bit like Katamari Damacy but with the difficulty curve reversed - the better you do, the more challenging the game gets, which is really fun! I wish I knew where the portal was though, I couldn't finish a level :(

Good start, but it feels like it didn't quite reach it's potential. Hopefully you can build on it after the jam!

The procedural generation is impressive but the gameplay wasn't too fun, I think it would have been more interesting if you knew the general direction of the way out or if there were more enemies because at least from the amount I played I was just wandering around slowly with no threats around me.

Thanks! This is actually my third attempt on procedural level generation. The first two had issues with hanging the process, but they were generating hundreds of thousands of tiles! Also, the enemy count was reduced because it was making my laptop lag a little - but that could probably be fixed.

Definitely agree with this. Anyway, overall I liked the game and its concept. Keep up the good work!

Super cool that you have procedural generation in a 48 hour jam! nicely done!

Very impressive love the level gen

Cool concept, I absolutely loved the visuals! Great job for 48 hours, especially on the procedural level design!

Loved the auto-generated maps. Super impressive for 48hs! Gathering all the materials was fun. Nice work!

Loved the fact that I need to think about where to pick up stuff so I can fit through.

Auto generated world is super impressive.

Well done!

Enjoyed it at first, but got completely lost with lots of stuff weighing me down. It would be so much better with a minimap.

Point acknowledged. I considered adding a minimap but we didn't have time and I wondered if it was really needed. That would probably help people find the portals as well.

I like your idea, but I didn't find the gameplay intriguing, the movement is too slow and there isn't enough to do to keep my brain interested for an entire level. You might consider making the levels smaller, or making an arrow that points to where the portal is.

Yeah, I completely agree with the arrow idea. You know, I was actually going to incorporate that, but so much was going wrong at the end of the jam that I just didn't have time.

This game is so cute! But I'm not rich actually...

Submitted

"you are rich" - no I'm not ;(

Great game, liked how you guys went for the map generation route, pretty ambitious. Sometimes the world feels empty though, but I can't complain from a two day game with procedural generation.

yeah, thanks lol

If there's more feedback about this I will increase the amount of treasure generated, but it seemed fine to me. Thanks for your feedback though!

Nice small game but still a lot of room for improvement.

I got greedy and stuck in a room with doors bashing me XD
Nice idea~!

Very original, only the gameplay is a bit clunky
